I agree this particular song & a few of his others sounds like that but his new album "the love language" & i think most of his songs in general don't. It has more of that old skool real R'n'B sound rather than the typical trap sound we constantly hear today. He prob did this & those few other tracks to show versatility

I'm saying he changed up because he don't dance and sing no more everyone wanna have this trapsound to their music but it's not needed His song drop it, like we grown ,in this crowd are one his best if he made more songs like those and perform them like in 2013 he would of been mainstream already

@@gmbtime4100 I think it could've been the constant Chris Brown comparisons that made him pull away from the dancing/ singing image. I heard him say back then he was doing things more so to please others & wanted to break away from that. He was a lot younger too & probably still finding himself as an artist. Like I say i think the new album doesn't sound like everything else out now..
