quick tips: -you have to turn all electronics off when youre getting hunted or the ghost will detect you as they detect electronics, even while hiding. -detections go based off of line of sight aswell so going into a closet is your best bet unless you know of certain spots.
I'm sick of people comparing Phasmophobia and Ghost Hunters and Obsideo. They're all different games that have their own unique strengths and weaknesses, and it's not like Phasmophobia invented the concept of ghost hunting just because it was the first successful indie ghost hunter game. Other games can take inspiration from Phas without being "ripoffs" so I really hate when people do that shit. Not that you're doing it right now, but it comes up so often I just feel like I have to say something. Let other developers have their own games without always going back to "hurr durr this is just a discount Phasmophobia" or "hurr durr Ghost Hunters Corp is way better than Phasmophobia". Let the different games fill their own niches.
Holy crap, it feels like this is an entirely new game now, like it’s way way different from that version you played all those months ago. It genuinely feels terrifying and I’m loving it.
So, horror aspects aside, I wish all of these games had spirits that were also non-threatening. Talk about ramping up, imagine a nice leisurely hunt and all of a sudden the spirit turns on you and takes out half the party. Next hunt you go loaded for bear and the spirit wants to have tea and crumpets...
It would be cool if you occasionally got a nice ghost that was just hard to pin down but you know some people would bitch like crazy about it because they'd be "boring" hunts even if it was only like 1 in 10 being friendly.

The Ghost are super agresive now, so be careful, one little advice, you need to turn on the lights, or otherwise you will go insane very quickly, and then you won't have time to collect evidence because of the hunts. Hope you will keep playing, this update has been great
I think thats a bit of a mistake on the developers' part. There should be variety. Some ghosts should appear but not attack. Maybe even some ghosts could be communed with (through ouija board or spirit box) and they have a backstory. Then objectives could be to discover that backstory. Say or do the wrong thing and they could turn aggressive but I don't think that should be all the ghosts ever do.

Of course there are different evidences needed to find the type of ghost, but each ghost have different strengths and weaknesses that can also help pin down the ghost type also. Every investigation has a different type of aggression that is indicated by the radio guy at the beginning, from aggressive to friendly. The game has come a long way and will get another huge update soon which will only add more.
Some tips for players: Ghosts can now detect and find you during a hunt if you are holding any electronic items that are turned on. This includes your flashlight. Also holding a door close will do nothing to help, however if you are fast enough you can close some doors (almost always closet doors) if they open them to look for you.

I think I never laughed this much. The part from 2:41 to 3:05, my lungs hurt from laughing. The fact that icy is sitting alone playing with ouija board like a kid, from lights flickering and igp just fucking leaving him out there, to him producing that sound in closet like hes about to take a massive dump and then to top it all off icy screaming in the background, inevitably ofcourse. PURE FUCKING GOLD.
For future reference, check the patch notes when y'all got time lol, the ghosts hunt by sound and are drawn to your active electrical equipment now, as well as have different effects, such as you being unable to hold doors closed anymore
Uuh, Indie... In what universe does holding doors closed keep a GHOST from walking through them? Also, your equipment attracts the ghosts now, so it's advised to turn the one in your hand off or drop it during a hunt. And unless you have Push to Talk off, you have to use it to get the Spirit Box to work. And there is a delay so when you say something, you have to wait a second for either the X to light up or the ghost symbol to, otherwise you can end up breaking it.
When I played this with max 4 people, its either we all die together or only 1 survives 😭. I also encountered the singing ghost in a duo hunt. It was a faint humming noise then BAM HUNTING and singing got louder and came to our closet lol
I love watching this because IGP knows so much and so little about the game. Ghosts can walk through doors even if you hold them, holding them only prevents them from opening the door and revealing where you are. In the new update ghosts hear lights and electronics, so everything has to be off when hiding. Biggest thing is that they can hear your mic even if you have push to talk on! That’s how I see you and icy die so often, you see the ghost and start screaming Hail Mary and the ghost instantly knows where to go. (Don’t stop doing that, it’s hilarious as fuck.)
As the ghost started hunting, my light blew and my room was near perfect darkness. believe me when I say Icy has nothing on... whatever noise I ended up making. House gets broken into... 4 times... no problem. Watching a dude play a game about ghosts: Panik

Ghosts can now detect the sound of your apparatus too. Which means that if you use your EMF when the ghost is hunting, your spirit box or anything that makes noise, they can hear it and use it to find your position. Keeping them on doesn't work anymore.
The ghost can detect not only sound but also "any" electrical equipment around (Flashlight, IMF, Camera etc), when the hunt is start just make sure to turn off or drop your equipment Also that equipment only glitch when the ghost around while it hunt, it make it more challenging because if you far you might didn't know it hunt
IGP fun fact. The ghost can hear the EMF Reader or the Spirit Box during a hunt. You can throw them in other rooms as a decoy or turn them off so the ghost hear you.

for the spirit box the best questions to ask are always "how old are you" or "where are you" because I swear they're the only ones that consistently trigger a response (if one can be triggered) Also for the bone, in the past at least, only taking a picture has like made the payment not trigger, so you can also collect it by pressing use to be sure you get dat money
I feel they made the mistake we did with my friends, which was going in with the old game mindset, in professional. We basically had to restart from amateur and, even then, professional contracts are really hard now (which I feel is a good thing, even though I get easily spooked x/)

As part of the new update, you have to turn off any electrical devices you have: EMF, Spirit box, flashlight, etc. Otherwise it alerts the ghost to your location!
@@SliveFawkes The mistake is people play it like the old Phasmo. Ghost now "detect" electronics. So if you don't shut off that EMF, you're dead. Me and a few friends have done pro on almost all maps and survived once we figured out to just drop our shit and hide.
I can’t tell if he’s that fresh to the game or if he’s just being a fool for content. But just in case here’s some advice I learned by gambling almost 500 dollars worth of stuff for. 1.) the ghosts can and will track you by seeing the flashlight, and any tech currently activated on or near you they will hear and run towards. 2.) with the exception of closet and the front doors, ghosts aren’t blocked by any doors being closed, even if you hold them closed, the door opening is a side effect of the ghost passing through them. 3.) during hunts no evidence can be gathered as all tech will freak out in the ghosts presence. 4.) ghosts will actively check to see where you are almost every second so you can, theoretically, hide behind furniture to avoid detection, in fact, the new house is ENTIRELY BUILT only around using that feature to survive hunts. 5.) as previously mentioned with hint 1. The ghosts can hone in on you via your voice or attempts to call radio. 6.) ghosts have been SERIOUSLY AMPED you cannot outrun them, if they can still see you, they will increase their speed over time and catch you. Please utilize these hints so you can try to save over $500 worth of equipment and not die like a fool. Or amateur to be accurate

They've been playing too much Ghost Hunters Corp, where you hold doors close to prevent spirits from getting to you for a short time.

Fun fact: When the ghost is hunting, if you have any technology on at all the ghost can sense it. This is includes any that can be turned on.

Imagine "Ghosts" are living their normal lives in their own verse and WE actually appear as "Ghosts" to them as well and they too try to hunt us as "Ghosts"

As part of the new update, you have to turn off any electrical devices you have: EMF, Spirit box, flashlight, etc. Otherwise it alerts the ghost to your location!

Ghost now "detect" electronics. So if you don't shut off that EMF, you're dead.
Me and a few friends have done pro on almost all maps and survived once we figured out to just drop our shit and hide.

I can’t tell if he’s that fresh to the game or if he’s just being a fool for content. But just in case here’s some advice I learned by gambling almost 500 dollars worth of stuff for.
1.) the ghosts can and will track you by seeing the flashlight, and any tech currently activated on or near you they will hear and run towards.
2.) with the exception of closet and the front doors, ghosts aren’t blocked by any doors being closed, even if you hold them closed, the door opening is a side effect of the ghost passing through them.
3.) during hunts no evidence can be gathered as all tech will freak out in the ghosts presence.
4.) ghosts will actively check to see where you are almost every second so you can, theoretically, hide behind furniture to avoid detection, in fact, the new house is ENTIRELY BUILT only around using that feature to survive hunts.
5.) as previously mentioned with hint 1. The ghosts can hone in on you via your voice or attempts to call radio.
6.) ghosts have been SERIOUSLY AMPED you cannot outrun them, if they can still see you, they will increase their speed over time and catch you.
Please utilize these hints so you can try to save over $500 worth of equipment and not die like a fool. Or amateur to be accurate
Not them knowing that ghosts ignore doors and are alerted to your presence during hunts because of electronics. This sparks joy.
