I have done the AC to DC conversion and DZG led I think this is first upgrade because - the led has a distinct brightness and is easy to be seen contrasting opposite regular halogen lights . - $30 is cheap and 1.5 hour time - this also makes both front and back lights keyed to the ignition with dash lights as well ( parking lights ) also - lastly night time driving is %100 improved. , you will attract more bug impacts small price to pay. My biggest pet peve is non-cancelling turning signals showing in the last minute of your trip . extremely dangerous Please be careful vigilance required Stay safe .

Ok couple things. That honda gas mileage figure is an average. Typically they arent going to use someone your size to get fuel ratings. Youre 5'10 at 250 lbs. Youre not a small person. You could maybe hit that 100 mpg if you lose like 75 lbs. It is what it is. As far as the carburetor honda had to keep the cost down to be able to sell it at that 1807 price. So carbs are cheaper so are all of the plastics and basic brakes and wheels and so on. You want fuel injection and better quality parts you are literally going to pay thousands more for something like that. Do the ac to dc conversion and replace all the halogen lights with led lights its not hard. Watch some videos and learn how to work on a carb also not hard to do on this bike. Dont go pay someone to do this stuff learn for yourself. Learn to work on your bike man. Aftermarket stuff will come soon people are working on them. There are already a ton of things out and available for the Navi.
Bro I loooooove your channel My mpg is the same i got the 600 mile oil change like yesterday. I got to 645miles exactly and i was on e. Im in texas and its 105 °F tho. I raced a grom and won with out even knowing because i always go fast in that area. because he had to slow down due to downshifting, i think thats were i got him.

NO i dont think so I am 14 years old 5'5 and 104 lbs and get close to 95 mpg with out any hills we dont have any hill where i live and they do not require me to licence and tag my navi but my dad did it anyway and got me a plate that says "lil navi" on it, meh its ok the plate i mean. the only down thingy side is i put LED lights on it because of the deer and phesants running out on the highway in front of you but at idiol they flicker so we had to bypass the alternator with a resistor or something. they standard halogen lights DO NOT flicker like he says unless you have the idol mis adjusted. this guy does not seem happy with his navi i dunno
As a ruckus daily driver, iam so so envious of how the navi went up that hill, i live in Pittsburgh, and that hill is nothing compared to hills here lol
Did some rollers on it a few months ago. Got a little oomph. After 6k miles now getting a little bored with it tbh. But hey, I’m pretty sure this thing will run forever! Just not into customizing.
i was considering navi for doordash and uber eat, ebike has been really unreliable, all 3 of them sucks, can you please tell me if navi has quality and reliability issues? i really dont want anymore headache, would you recommend navi for deliveries? is the part hard to find? also do you honda trail 125 is better for the job?
I have found no major issues with the navi and have been enjoying it a lot! The Trail 125 is very tempting! It would be a great delivery vehicle! it will be more expensive than a navi for sure though! best wishes on your search, i know it's a tough decision!
I think if someone really wants to steal your bike, they will. The best thing you can do is DETER them, or make it more inconvenient for them to steal your bike. Still good! I’m at 7,300 miles now, almost time for an oil change! Only use it now to commute to work about 20 miles a day. The Navi is still going strong!
little late to the party but your build and all the hill climbing causes the poor mileage. I don't believe they tested the gas mileage in such a hilly terrain like SF has. I may be wrong but.
@@fogcityrc4874 SFMoto. Keep in mind they are super inflating the OTD price because of high demand on these little Navi's everywhere. MSRP is $1800 but my OTD was about 3k! Still cheaper than getting a ruckus which has less power but is shipped from Japan.
just a heads up honda isnt lying about the mpg claims every motorcycle manufacture company give that number off their test normally the have some tiny 100 pound person do the test
I’d rather they be honest and say what your avg might be like for cars and trucks. My 10 year old kid is almost a hundred pounds! lol. It is what it is. A Honda PCX has more power yet is more fuel efficient than the Navi. A big guy on a PCX or ADV can still average 80-90 mpg
@@madhatterentmt6146 yeah that's why you give out an average. Also, if you ask the Navi community, no one is getting 100mpg. Maybe 90mpg if you're light. I just don't like that they advertise 100 mpg. All good though, the Navi is still a fun little pit bike. And now since I have a regular job, I don't need to ride it everyday for deliveries like I used to.

I wonder if how you are applying the throttle may be diminishing your mpg. You seem to give it full throttle, then give it much less throttle, full throttle again, etc. If I did that with my car I would get terrible mpg.

I’d rather Honda doesn’t put out any estimates. For a lot of people those mpg estimates are like promises. (I know there’s the fine print) The $3 to fill up my Navi tank for 55-70 miles has made up for it I guess. If only the Ruckus would be able to take my fatness up these hills…
Ok but a grom surpasses Honda’s mpg claims. In fact the more wide open you are on the Navi, the less mpg you’ll get. Ask anyone who owns a Navi if they ever got 100 mpg. Honda should lower their mpg claims to 80mpg. Same with a Honda pcx. They claim 100mpg on the pcx but people get better. Even heavy riders like me.
Its intention isn't what you use it for although maybe marketed in the wrong way I would bet you Honda isn't wrong in there number all be it maybe not in ur circumstances, they mess up they get sued ask Volkswagen when they inflated there numbers what happened most time they are under on mpg estimate because of that, but on the off Cham e ur rite you will be a rich man, start a class action suit.

If you're getting 80 mpg with those hills and the weight I'd be really happy

Personally, I'm okay with Navi's fuel economy but wish Honda gave it a bigger tank. At least 1.5 gallon would have been nice.

Must be scary with a ruckus! I already have cars honking at me over here when going up long hills and I’m not fast enough.
The price makes up for the dislikes.. Upgrades can improve your dislikes ie: rollers, light upgrade.

How about security for the bike? I too live in Cali and was worried that it’s too light 2 guys can just pick it up and go. What have you been doing?

I actually rarely go full throttle. Mostly half throttle. Full throttle when trying to reach full speed 40+ mph.

What kind of road trip are you expecting with this thing?
I would probably take a backroad road trip up and down through CA. Maybe other states if I feel like it.

You are stop and go riding you won't get there rated fuel economy. It's tested in an environment that's not what you are doing nor ur weight.
