This team still has a lot of work to do off the ball. Knowing when to drop in and cover the space when someone runs forward or when we lose the ball due to a bad pass. Little details like that is what will make us way more consistent.Attacking wise we still make a lot of bad decisions. We could have scored five or six against west ham EASILY if decisions were better in the final third. Liverpool is the prime example. They make great decisions. We also need to just shoot more in general. Just outside the box to a few steps inside. That range. Little layoffs to teammates or quick pop shots to catch the GK off guard can lead to so many opportunities to score. They’re trying to walk the ball into the net way too often. Hopefully that happens with time.
I agree with this entirely, I’m not saying Chelsea are the finished article by all means but it’s really pleasing to see a Manager trying to address weaknesses. From an attacking POV, there has been an improvement from all players in decision making. Aside from Palmer who was already on point. The exciting thing about this is that there’s still room for improvements!
