I think Sean hit the nail on the head with the observation that The Feels doesn’t stand apart despite being an English track. As a US Once I totally endorse that approach. Twice will have sustainable success in the Western market by being themselves and displaying their charms.

Everyone expected them to enter with “Girl Crush” concept because it suits the western taste, but they really entered with their concept and this is really refreshing.
Surprisingly, the song was a huge success and entered the Billboard Hot 100, and I think they succeeded in attracting the west audience, since more and more, but The Feels also helped spread their fame.
A glimpse of their success abroad (the group has charted on the US Billboard 200 with More & More and Eyes Wide Open in 2020 and Taste of Love and Formula of Love: O+T= ❤ in 2021. In the week ending June 17, Taste of Love debuted at number 6 on the Billboard 200, becoming Twice's first top 10 albums in the United States with 46,000 album-equivalent units earned. Of that sum, the EP recorded 43,000 physical sales, making it the best-selling album in the US for the week. With this, Twice became the first female Korean act to chart an EP within the top ten of the Billboard 200, and just the second female Korean act to have a top 10 album on the chart, The group's third Korean studio album, Formula of Love: O+T=
That's the thing, they didn't lose their essence and they are so brave on entering the worlds biggest music industry with their notable bubbly cutesy concept and that's why I'm so proud of them, and the song is a fcknggg bop❤️🔥
i agree completely, im very proud of them... this is great in every way. You can also tell they worked really hard on the pronunciations of the entire song. They are all killing it but Jihyo has been going beastmode lately both in dancing and her vocals

I am so proud of our queens, they made a english kpop song versus an english song by a kpop group. And it's a fking BOP...I'm addicted.
The interesting thing about your reactions is your commentary as you delve into kpop especially twice instead of the generic oh this song is awesome over and over again. You're vested in our queens being proud of them when they do well. That to me is the coolest thing.
I'm the same, I'm pulling for them to do well. I dont think I've had that same intensity for any of the western groups I liked and followed, its different. This feels like MY thing, almost exclusive.
I knew info about the artists and I'd be like this song is fire I can fk with it but it stopped there. Dude kpop is just so different.
I came to the conclusion that kpop is the same as my love for msu football and basketball. I know the players, the rivalries, the history. I suffer when we lose to the Wolverines or those bastard Buckeyes and I'm on a high for a week when we beat them.

Twice introducing Twicepop to the West! They could've easily done songs like cry for me and perfect world to cater to the Western audience, but they chose to do it in the most Twice way and I love them for that!
The general consensus of the song is that people are really pleased to see that this is truly TWICE but just in english. It was an upbeat pop beat that unapologetically embraced all the sunshine bubblegum vibes TWICE are very well known for. TWICE have really proved to be veterans in the kpop industry, constantly taking risks and trying new sounds with unwavering success despite doing so. Breaking into another music market is feat in its own, but to do it while staying true to their sound and image even tho it is considerably less favourable in west (eg. vs girl crush concepts) is something very admirable.
I am so so so proud of how far the girls have come. Love the song and love all 9 of them :)

This is just an introduction to who TWICE is as a girl group. Twice are being promoted to what they are known for - the sweet, bubblegum girl group. ( now, with a more mature image) It's like you introducing yourself to a new neighborhood, right?!
But some say Twice genre will never get popular in the west cos it doesn't fit the western taste of music so here they are now taking the risk and introducing the sweet and bubblegum pop to western people. So proud of these hardworking girls.

Do you ever watch touchdown at tokyo dome concert, I think XD I didn't remember the place but it was at concert. That touchdown version is really different version with guitar electric for the base.
