    Hi I’m South African working in construction in the uk for 15 years now I was just wondering, is the plumbing incased in concrete and is there any insulation around the pipes before pour? I don’t know much about building regs in SA as in the uk any pipes running through concrete need to be shuttered off and insulated so it can be accessed if needed especially if it’s sewage

    • @bm.studio
      @bm.studio  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Very interesting, the regulations vary quite a bit don't they? Regulations on our end require that an inspection eye be installed for the sewage. Should anything happen, I.e. a blockage, the eye would be used to clear the blockage. Insulation is not required on the service pipes, nor shuttering

    • @SnkyRussian
      @SnkyRussian ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@bm.studio yeah the regulation depends on if pipes are running through foundations on ground floor the will need bridging and insulting but our 1st floor plumbing is all enclosed in the floors and walls and our floors are made of wood with the plumbing sitting in the cavity and that goes for our gas pipes for radiators too, the dream is to build my own home in SA in the not so distant future so this has been insightful

    Beautiful. If one wants to pursue a construction building business. What knowledge is critical for them? Would construction management suffice for one to start?
