Could agree more. I myself have felt often times that it's not necessarily that I lack potential but I just lack drive. Now that have developed myself over a few years, what have realised is that is that getting drive is like walking. Let me explain: Some people start in with jogging, others with walking and then there are the sprinters. Maybe are not even somebody who is walking but some crawling on the floor, desperately trying to move faster. What I am saying is, at the beginning you don't feel like you are making progress because you all those people doing the work and you are just not able to. When in reality you are making progress there just so many things between you and final destination that it doesn't seem like it. For me I just had a realisation a around a week about exactly that. All the things two years I would have considered to be my end goal were just a stepping to a new challenge/obstacle. I realised that about half down achieving a good number of my goals. In reality self-improvement is just stopping no matter how bad you are doing or worthless/undeserving you think are. You got this. Hope this helps.
It all comes down to those who have coin, connections, crews, clout, computer code, control, corporate communities, and opulent opportunities... and those who do not. Guess which ones are the WINNERS?! 😂 It's pretty obvious; if you ain't 3l0n, Chump, Chris, Mr. Bleach, or other wealthy and popular moguls of social media... then yer a *nothing-burger.* No exceptions.
I hate that I have two options: 1. Be myself and be "weird" to my family which makes me feel bad 2. Conform to their expectations of me and feel bad because I am not being myself or going after my goals. Feels like a lose-lose sometimes but number 1 is less of a loss so I have to just keep going
I was in the military for 9 years before separating and going back to university. I lived meagerly, almost never went out, never drank, home cooked all my meals. Everyone knows enlisted don't make a lot of money. I saved and invested a lot and it grew to over 6 figures. Now I'm in college at 30 and everyone assumes I must have come from money because of how well off I am now... Meanwhile they still buy cafe coffee and food out everyday and think that they're poor.
6:20 I've lived w/a variation of that for 2 years: "There are people out there less qualified than you, doing what you want to do, simply bc they took action(s) [& you don't]" & every day, I see examples proving the truth of it. Self-doubt, hyper self-criticism, lack of confidence, as you mentioned, really is the killer of ambition/dreams NOT lack of competence or knowing what needs to be done.
Best advice I ever got was from an old guy in an estate agents when I was selling my first house and was explaining how I could now afford a bigger one, "You are trying to better yourself and there is nothing wrong in that". Since then I've never felt apologetic for what I have accomplished in life.
Great points. This self limiting mindset is also the default in Australia. Growing up i never set high goals and was dragged down by the limitations the majority of others applied to themselves and agree on the real "uncoolness" of trying.
Keep trying over and over again to become a better person, even if you fail repeatedly. Because that’s what makes you better. Most people don’t have the courage to try and fail. They’d rather settle for cool and comfortable.

I actually have experienced that several times over the past 6 months.. I actually didn't think that I would be able to make any progress at all on my channel. I started off with only 52 subscribers when I first started taking this serious. My paintings are probably the most important part of my channel next to maybe some information I share. It's easy to lose drive when you let people's numbers get into your head. "Stay focused on what your goal" I'm one of those people who is generally surprised that the progress.
This is so true Chris. I'm in the UK and the majority are all like this. Another one people will say is how "lucky" you are. I see people I know consistently make terrible decisions for themselves but criticise the people that don't. Most is self sabotage that they do, they are their own worst enemy. "Must be alright for you!" 🤣
Funny, right video right moment. I heard how much "prosperity" I had inhereted yesterday. Had to explain to my adult son that unlike him who was raised on Organic food in the suburbs I was raised on food stamps and did not know where my next meal would come from.
Wow dude, just have to say I truly enjoy your content with every video I watch. Thanks for sharing this, Chris. It came at a great time for me - 4:30 really resonated with me, but I’m changing that this year. Hope to run into you in Austin soon
Glory!!! After so much struggles I now own a new house with an influx of $225,500.00 every month God has kept to his words,my family is happy again everything is finally falling into place. God bless America 🇺🇸
Chris man , Can i just say watching you grow and watching your stuff makes me feel not alone I found my thing just day before and you are the reason i dont feel alone in my journey Thanks man helps me out you get it broski, no one around me does
Kevin Hart said the same thing on the Joe Rogan podcast. I don't care for him as a comedian or actor, but what he said on the podcast really stuck with me - "its not cool to be positive in the world today".
the book that changed my approach to money is The Gilded Nexus of Prosperity all recommendations... It's completely different from anything I've read so far
I’m not ashamed of my ambition I’m ashamed my ex took every thing including the house and I can’t get back in the market or start my own business as I have no money !

Thank you for your wisdom, love your channel, love your mind, let me know if you ever want to interview a LEGO Master from Aotearoa (NZ). Happy New Year from the Colonies. 💚
Hey Chris, if you're unsure why people doubt themselves, it's because of school and education. If someone is raised being taught and told they can achieve great things, that's how they'll live. It usually always comes back to what we're taught. That's why many great people don't do well in school. They didn't bite what the system tried to feed us. Thanks for all your wisdom. You are an actual teacher indeed.
Chris. Please hear me. Konstantin talks about scraping net zero. If you interview Dr William Happer, it will bring credence to that idea. PLEASE interview him (before he's too old). It will change your scale on the issue. Thank you 🎩
THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NO LIMIT TO WHAT WE CAN ACHIEVE THIS IS GOING TO BE THE GOLDEN AGE OF CIVILIZATION I WILL SHOW YOU HOW GREAT I AM Stay cool, stay productive, stay human! 😎😗🤪
It’s not exactly uniform across the UK - regional cultures can vary quite a bit. But generally, there’s a cultural tendency to value subtlety, understatement, and a bit of self-deprecation over being overtly enthusiastic. It probably stems from a mix of historical influences, like the stiff-upper-lip mentality associated with Victorian values and post-war resilience. It’s not that we don’t feel keen or excited; it’s more that expressing it too openly can be seen as lacking composure or humility. Of course, this varies by context - sports fans or festival-goers, for example, can be as excitable as anyone!
@ Thanks for this. I went to several festivals in the UK over the summer. Great atmosphere. Every culture has its outlet, though the more extreme the contrast becomes between the everyday and the “outlet”, signals become apparent of unrest
What if the opposite is true for you? What if I'm mostly surprised by how things didn't go as well as I expected, and normally I get a worse outcome than I thought? 🤔
Ah, so that's why. If self-doubt affects my performance negatively, then maybe I am not lazy, I just allow negative thoughts to make me more "lazier". Maybe what I need is a more positive mindset. Thank you for the insight!
!! I am at the beginning of my "investment journey" , planning to put 385k into dividend stocks so that I will be making up to 30% annually in dividend returns. any good recommendation on great performing stocks or Crypto will be appreciated.
As a newbie investor, it's essential for you to have a mentor to keep you accountable. Liza Georgia is my trade analyst , she has guided me to identify key market trends, pinpointed strategic entry points, and provided risk assessment, ensuring my trades decisions align with market dynamics for optimal returns .
I managed to grow a nest egg of around 120k to over a Million. I'm especially grateful to Adviser Liza Georgia, for her expertise and exposure to different areas of the market..
I don't really blame people who panic. Lack of information can be a big hurdle . I've been making more than $200k passively by just investing through an adviser and I don't have to do much work... Inflation or no inflation, my finances remain secure. So I really don't blame people who panic.
It amazes me how much pushback I receive from family members I get when I inform them of my goals that I’m shooting for in the next three years. 1) Become debt free 2) Create a consistently profitable Futures Trading business so that I can become a digital nomad 3) Move to SE Asia and enjoy my life
Quite frankly, that's why I left England 6 years and now live in Argentina. I have a lot of energy and I've always tried my hardest in everything ive ever done. I was born and raised on the Isle of Wight, and i never felt like I fit in the culture as there was always criticism for trying "too hard". I've gone from working in dead in jobs to survive in England to working as a Director for a software company in North America (working remotely of course!). If you put in your all and show the value you provide (especially when referring to your impact on a company's bottom line) you will succeed. I hate this work-life balance bullshit. Just work your ass off and shine and the world will be your Oyster. Now im on to the next mountain range...CEO is my next goal!
People like me who hear a lot that their dreams are impossible to achieve or that you're working too hard or you should slow down and that noone care if you do a great job or a mediocre, the only thing that matter is if it's done etc. When environment doean't understand you and don't support you it's easy to stop believing in your own judgment and capabilities 😅
I'm from an older generation and don't understand how this is an issue. Some people have religious reason for not being super successful but I don't actually know anyone like this though I have had a spiritual side of me that says do not be WORLDLY but that does not equate to being successful. If your life is about chasing money and that your success then YES, you have a problem with worldliness but we should always aspire to be the best at what we do. Worldliness is NOT the same thing as being successful but the lines get blurred with some people as some think they are the same thing. It also does not take a huge amount of ambition to be successful. I've know people that were overly ambitious that were not successful and were consumed with ambition . . . 90% of being successful is just showing up and doing the work, you don't always need to be driven. Money is not the reward for success. Einstein was not rich. One video like this does not answer the problem.
Intelligence is a double-edged sword. Most use it unwisely and let it merge with insecurity to create deafening arguments as to why you can't do the One Thing that matters the most. It's not impossible to find a middleground between those two you mentioned.

Informal social control at its finest from family

Awesome clip. Don't overthink, just do. The universe will react to your energy and progress.
You rock man. Love your work! Lots of congruence with my experiences.

Well said Chris! 🤘
I would submit this is a significant theme of Atlas Shrugged.
The wealthy parents comment is partially ignorant- partially it hits on the truth. Theres almost a perfect correlation between socio-economic status and the parental incomes and academic attainment in education. So at face value its ignorant but on average for education its not far off the the mark
Well said sir 🙏
One of my favourite lessons from MW in 2024. I’ll definitely try to teach for my goals more confidently this year
👊🏼 2025 👊🏼
LFG!
Well said
This is good stuff.
Happy new year!
Let's go make the world better than we came into it.
Ambition?
Don’t worry. I have literally zero ambition left.
Me too. I've tried and failed so many times. I've had impossible obstacles put in front of me whenever I get on a roll. I've learned to just accept my lot in life and I stopped swimming upstream. If the cosmos wanted me to succeed, I would have gotten a break by now.
3 things that helped me and literally changed my life
1. I stopped watching porn
2. I read the book called 'The Elite Society's Money Manifestation'
3. Stop drinking
Stand strong!!
Well done…good vices to drop. How is that book? How did it change your life? Any insight is appreciated.
We are all going to make it bro

Excellent. Authentic. Did not know this about British culture. Is it uniform around the UK? What does it stem from?
It’s not exactly uniform across the UK - regional cultures can vary quite a bit. But generally, there’s a cultural tendency to value subtlety, understatement, and a bit of self-deprecation over being overtly enthusiastic. It probably stems from a mix of historical influences, like the stiff-upper-lip mentality associated with Victorian values and post-war resilience. It’s not that we don’t feel keen or excited; it’s more that expressing it too openly can be seen as lacking composure or humility. Remember, it's easy for successful people to say 'just do it, like I did'. Most people are just born to lose, no matter how hard they work.
Ah, so that's why.
If self-doubt affects my performance negatively, then maybe I am not lazy, I just allow negative thoughts to make me more "lazier".
Maybe what I need is a more positive mindset.
Thank you for the insight!

Who df are ashamed of his ambitions? Do anyone know anyone like that?
Large proportions of people in the corporate world. Frightening levels. In the West, in English speaking countries. The mainstream.
