mmedeuxchevaux - Yes, it is an Eastern musical influence. The style that he plays can be traced back to guitarist John Fahey, who combined American Delta Blues & Ragtime with the Ragas of India. The Indian influence doesn't show up in all of Fahey's compositions, but I would say it is in a decent percentage of it. Glad to see Jack Rose & now Daniel Bachman carrying the torch for what John Fahey coined "American Primitive Guitar".
@@jaygilbert4546Actually, Robbie Basho did it more by using alternative tunings, especially with his 12-string guitar. John Fahey did more "down to earth and laid back styled music" to my ears at least.
Drenched in sound, awash in melody, lost in the music. Loved it.
This is great! I love that track! Funny that Jack Rose - Now That I'm A Man Full Grown is recommended here in the side bar. He's watching you, Dan! ;)
Jesus, how is it I only now discovered DFBM has its own channel...
A true joy! Not since Bert Janch have I heard such engagement! Thank you.
