How are they just the best?? As we grow up there’s definitely some bands we stopped listening to..Underoath is NEVER something I’m embarassed to play as a 30 year old. Love them for life. 💙
Best band in the whole world. The progression of this band is amazing CHASING SAFETY DEFINE THE GREAT LINE LOST IN THE SOUND we’re such epic records. DISAMBIGUATION has some of the heaviest riffs I’ve ever heard in my life. Drums too!
I remember getting on either Facebook or TH-cam after close at work the day On My Teeth premiered and just losing my shit being so stoked about what I was hearing and I immediately fell in love with the track and Underoath all over again. No, Erase Me isn't oldschool Underoath, but that's perfectly fine. Every one of their albums is different and I'd expect no less than a new Underoath album to feel like a new album.
Loved them since before spencer was even in the band. Got to hang with him once. Super cool guy. Btw he kinda looks/sounds like a young better call saul lol.
I hear ya man. I was a fan since the sun still sleeps. Dude I remember being in line to meet him at a warped tour a d the guy in front of me asked Spencer to sign his butt and Spencer was like "no" . the guy then went "I was just kidding". Had me dying laughing
2:58 Spencer can't keep his story straight. Sometimes he says addicted and sometimes he says he was never addicted. In their documentary of making their new record that they recently released, he specifically said he wasn't addicted to anything.
@@Danielfucks69 Really? Damn 😂 I haven't heard them say that but I'll take your word for it. If so, that's hilarious. I remember them being extremely vocal about being Christians. All of them were. Aaron was constantly at church and posting about it and stuff.
They went from like a total extreme christian band......like they would preach in churches aaron would, spencer would preach in shows, half of the bands identity was like a ministry, and now they are athiests "sinners"......Kinda disapointing how they just sold out and now they are just another dime a dozen, screamo band.......atleast in 2002/2004 they were one of the first post hardcore bands, and now there style has been copied like 10000 times, so now they are just boring and washed out
@@fedism they wouldn't preach but Spencer would say the reason they were up there was because of Jesus. It was usually a quick 2-3 sentence thing and then they would move on to the next song.
yeah I'm hurt they got me through a lot, I would think if this Christian band can play gigs where not almost no Christians are and praise God. I can do it as well but to go back on it is a gut punch I defended them through thick and thin now it's like all that was for nothing. now they got new fans and left us original fans with nothing.. I'll still listen to they're old stuff but my days of waiting for anything new by them are over I wish them the best though.
@@charlie81205 went to many of their shows in early 2000s and I can confirm. Spencer would say god bless and give thanks to Jesus on stage. Honestly, I always thought God was the reason they were so successful and it made their music even more powerful.
Fake fake fake. Even disambiguation was teetering without Aaron's influencing. I'm sad they kept the name under oath when they don't keep the same ideals. How about the band name lost-oath?
It’s because of Christians like you that made it hard for them to grow and for Spencer to get the help he needed. The fact that they came together and made great music no matter what they believed is a sign of unity, isn’t that what your Jesus would have done? He definitely didn’t share the same ideals as the people he was eating with and supposedly healing.
@@nolanschmidt1065 It's because of their own actions that it was difficult. Spencer probably does more drugs because he's free from ridicule but Idk. neither of them represent jesus as much or anymore. So they can follow what they want and decide their lives. I just don't see what oath they are under if they ain't about that message anymore.
You don’t know that, you don’t know their personal lives. And it sounds like he’s been wounded by the church, you’ve never had that amount of pressure or responsibility as they had at a young age. Seeing how the Christian fans they have had reacted it’s no surprise as to why he’s stepped back s bit and held this toxic secret so long instead of being able to open up and get help. Be like the god you serve and give him some love and grace. Smh Christians like you are why your god is misrepresented
They stayed for the fans or for their own selfish needs? I don't see how they can blame the world for what they decided to do. Following God isn't a job and that's what they seem to think it is. It's atheist/agnostic people like you I pray for.
This new album is beyond awful & this dude is a hypocrite. Trying to be edgy by cursing in every track and writing off Christianity. Give a rest or change the band name.
I just find it gross that they HAVE TO make it a point to DENY Christ. It’s a bigger deal than the new record was. I mean let’s be real it’s a publicity thing and not all of the band members aren’t Christians. They’re just not claiming to be a CHRISTIAN BAND! The Bible says it doesn’t matter what you do in public with rituals, it’s what you do behind closed doors that matters. When nobody’s looking.
J R I claimed to be a christian kid while in a band same time ago, definately didnt act like one. But to publicly write about denying it maybe probably had nothing else to sing about. I agree with you
"Believe what you want to believe, as long as what we're doing is good.". "This group of people (the band) doesn't work to have to be the same under the same beliefs." Really?? So basically, you are disqualifying the very basics of Christianity in order to waddle your way through an interview in order to re-gain a portion of popularity at the expense of Jesus' own words and sacrifice on the cross. Ya, okay. Whatever.

Dude is so unique and wise. It's like you CAN'T be passive aggressive or contradict him. Dude's a goat
spencer actually seems like a cool and chill person to be with, i really don't get why y'all hate on him sm :(

J R define was meh.
Seriously?????? Dude that whole record flowed like a river.
J R dtgl was a record label obligation. It didnt seem solid to me at all like tocs. imo
Finally someone who gets it
Also I must say that every member in this band bring such a unique element to the music.
that was me at the front of the Underoath shows. Best place to be. I KNOW they seen me lol
For me they already won
He is so kind and DTE. Man I want to meet spencer!

When? When I listened he said he was addicted, but he didnt need to be.
Elijah M Thompson it’s his problem let him work it out.
My neighbor saw him passed out on their drug dealer's front yard once like 6 years ago. He was doing ice man
They also all say they were never Christians

spencer, dio created the metal fingers, you were close tho
Dave Mustaine's new favorite band
Glen Benton's top 1 most stupid band
what?
Interesting. He sounds significantly less rude talking about Christians in this one. Doesn't mean I'm gonna listen to their new music.
uglylife was he dissing Xtians in another video?
Well your missing out its good shit also religion imo shouldnt be in music period
