Taking down hairstyles at night and avoiding tight hairstyles helps with the sensitivity. I wash my hair twice a month too. I only use water and oil. Once I let go of products, my scalp got much better. And I have scalp psoriasis. Haven’t had a break out or major itchiness since letting go of products. Water, rose water, and a little oil only. I let go of all produce except for clarifying shampoo. I also use unscented dr bronners soap to wash my hair.
Six months in and am here on youtube watching other peoples journey to reassure myself not to shave my locs😭😭 il just make it to a year mark and see how it goes
Nah give it 3 years at least, believe me some days I love my locs other days I feel like just cutting it off because they don't look how I want them too yet. I'm coming in on almost a year now and it's finally getting the length that I want, and they are finally long enough to get them styled, which I will be doing this week. Locs is a journey for some that only get the reward at the end, ya gotta just hang in there. But during this time experiment what products work whether gels, creams, oils, washing schedules, durags, caps, bonnets, work for you. It's not only about the look but about you getting to know yourself. Hope you hang in there and get what you want! take care.
Still very much at the starter stage of locs. About to be at month 3 soon. Still waiting for the budding process to happen, they're still very thin but I'm taking it day by day. So happy that I don't have to genuinely deal with my hair. I just wake up and let it do its thing. Your journey is inspiring, thanks for sharing!
I think that’s the best thing you can do. Literally taking it day by day. You’re doing better then when I started 😅 I was really struggling at the start. Keep me posted on how it goes. They’ll thicken up in no time 🤗🤗 Thanks for watching 💕💕.
Aww Thank you so much lovely ❤️❤️I have a video of how I did this when my hair was shorter. Here it is th-cam.com/video/cE6jj3tgpE8/w-d-xo.htmlsi=rD2Q0cUiSPW3AAzA
I watch these videos for inspiration, not to compare because I know that my journey is my journey ❤ I’ll be two months on the 22. You’re so beautiful btw 😊
First of all, your name is amazing. Second of all, such goals! I know mine will be perf due to all this TH-cam research but I’m enjoying the journey. Your vid is 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾💃🏾💃🏾💃🏾💜💜💜
Awww 🥺. Thank you so much 🥹🥹❤️❤️. Your locs will be AMAZING! The research is 💯 needed & you’re in the right place, enjoy the journey & rest will come naturally 💕💕
Loc envy can be one of the hardest things someone can go thru in a Loc journey😭😭😭😭
Honestly. It was the worst. I’m glad that little phase is over 😅😭😭
SULFUR 8 on the “SCALP” works miracles. Not on the “LOCS” but on the “SCALP”. Oil on the scalp really causes so much itching

I dont like aloe vera because of itchiness as well. I just spray my hair woth water oil and glycerin in a spray bottle. Feels great
Yes, I was experiencing the same. Like to keep it simplistic these days too ❤️☺️
It looks so healthy I love it😍

It really depends on you locs & desired look. Going 1-3 months is common for most people ☺️
