This episode is literally everything we want: solid comedy, romance, character development, glimpses of backstory, steller animation, still never a repeated musical style, HORROR, and gratuitous violence. Only thing it was missing was Octavia.
I personally think Stolas's feelings for Blitz are stronger, and the evidence for that lies in episodes 2 and 5. In 2, he invited Blitz (+ IMP! And he didn't have to invite the whole group, but he did) and gave him the chance to meet his daughter, and I'm sure he wouldn't want his daughter interacting with someone who was nothing more than a booty call to him. Plus, he didn't need a body guard, and just wanted time with his favorite people (and to not have to personally deal with the attackers so much as a bonus). In 5, he invited Blitz (+ IMP once again!) to the Harvest Moon Festival without any expectation that they'd hook up, and he let them stay somewhere away from him and never tried to pull Blitz away from his time with them, he just let him have fun and enjoyed watching (even if he couldn't help but single him out for verbal affection) BUT, Stolas /does/ also have an unfortunate tendency to patronize and talk down to Blitz, and while I don't think it's intentional, he does need to work on that and make sure he's treating him as a respected equal who he happens to adore. And it's because of his trouble realizing how his word choices and behavior come across and how the people who's talking to feel that Blitz and others (like Striker) might believe he thinks of Blitz as a toy. Stolas doesn't know how to treat a true romantic partner yet, and Blitz is too afraid of proper intimacy to be much help there yet. Hopefully they can both grow and learn how to be better to and for each other without either of them getting hurt too much. ...God I love this ship.

I was really afraid initially of this relationship falling out because of how toxic it was [and still is], but this episode finally gave me some of that sweet sweet hope. When these two finally fix their shit and become a proper couple I'm gonna lose my shit xD. Plus! I'd love to see Loona and Octavia be sisters, I think they really compliment each other.

I know i'm late but that's not a pentagram. That's Stolas's symbol or 'The Seal of Stolas' which is also the thing that's on his grimoire. I know you don't care but i will send this anyways.
I love how the show always manages to give us at least one song per episode in such a realistic way, ie- lullaby, tv commercial, drug-filled hallucination/musical. It never seems forced or out of place in the episode, and that’s rare for show to find that balance.
One more thing. What about that mash-up of all of their individual themes during that fight. Like Millie's was from the spring break episode when she fought the leviathan.

Yes this episode did have a touch of true horror with Stolas' entry. It was so awesome! Seeing the original on Vizvipop's channel, I know how it ends and so I actually liked you pausing it to speculate on how the bad trip would affect Blitzo. It did affect him as we see he doesn't act so stand offish with Stolas at the end. Dare I say it... he seemed affectionate... in his own perverse way ;) I've seen on some other channels them speculating on that we've seen clues to Blitzo's conflicts on craving affection, though we ignored them because it wasn't romantic/sexual interest, more of hints of trying to obtain affection through parental role. - Robo Fizz makes a comment about kids running away from Blitzo. We thought this was just beuse Blitz was such a bad clown, but ..... - Verosika snarked she should have known he was around when she heard the Amber Alert. This suggests he has history of trying to 'adopt' kids in the past - we learn Blitzo adopted Loona when she was nearly 18, and he tries a bit too hard to win her affections as her dad. and was starry eyed when she slipped and called him dad. The relationship between Stolas & Blitzo... they both are people who crave affection and lacked it to a degree. I don't think Stolas sees him just as a plaything. I think that's a fear of Blitzo's, but not reality. Stolas is in a loveless marraige so he's seeking romantic affection, not just some boy-toy.
I'd be cool if the underworld gets exposed and Alastor makes a cameo reverting time or erases everyone's memory. Good opportunity to show his strength, since in the lore they showed him as someone who overcame the lords of hell.
He isnt that powerful, he's one of the strongest of the overlords but weaker that most of the ars goetia and their weaker than the 7 sins and then lucifier at the top
This is such a good fantastic episode!!! 🖤 It has EVERYTHING AND Stolas and Blitzø are so CUTE together 🖤💜❤💜❤ I was speechless the entire first time I watched it
Mox was confronting his honest feelings that he normally keeps down, acknowledging and trying to learn and grow from them. Blitzo was still trying to hide from his honest feelings, but the truth gas induced trip wouldn't allow him to lie. He likes to play it off as not caring about anyone and that he can do everything himself, but he's terrified he'll end up alone as everyone will inevitably leave. And to protect himself he acts horrible to most people so they don't get too close to him, cause once they get close then he'll actually be hurt when they leave. He's afraid to love and lose. Being with IMP and Stolas as well is the only time he can feel like himself, notice how his clown clothes are removed as he moves closer to Stolas, but at the same time he feels shackled by them. He feels doomed to eventually go down into that spiral of torment, and he can't escape it because he loves IMP and Stolas too much to throw them away like he does everyone else he could grow to love. It was his old girlfriend Verosika that pointed out he intentionally sabotaged their relationship to push her away from him. He began to love her, so he pissed her off as quickly as possible. So he's only happy in his current situation, but at the same time he's certain they'll all leave him, and losing all of this is something he's certain he couldn't handle. And we got confirmation that Millie pegs Moxie. THIS EPISODE IS ONE ADORABLE OWLET AWAY FROM TOTAL PERFECTION!

this seems alot more reaction, while many other channels either seem to be a pause and pause break down analyst, or a view togeather with almost no reaction, then react/breakdown after the entire thing is done. this is a wonderful inbetween
After seeing how long the wait for this episode was, I began to get worried. "Wow, its been way longer than last episode. Are they ok?" Then this episode came out, and I responded "......Oh." Cause that explained it. I will be patient from now on Daddy Blitzy, I'm sorry.
well we know damn well the wait is going to be worth it. the quality of these have done nothing but skyrocket (and they were already quite high to start off with) I'm very interested to see how all this practice and skill gain with this series transfer's over to Hazbin Hotel. i know a good bit of the team is on both, and that H.H. got picked with a bigger company as well)
