I just wanted to comment that this works. I proved it to myself before I even watched this video. I was reading an old journal and realised that this is EXACTLY how I unintentionally manifested a healthy mental state. I was suffering from daily anxiety/OCD/panic attacks 2 years ago. After trying every method I could think of and failing, I went to a psychiatrist to get medicated as a last resort. He told me that the more I fight it, the stronger it gets. This hit me really hard. After I got home with medicine in hand, I decided to let it be for the first time. When I had my next panic attack, I panicked, but instead of double-panicking over the fact that I was having another panic attack, I let it be. I thought, “I will probably have to live with this for the rest of my life. I don’t want it, but I have it. Fine. I give up. I will just find other ways to enjoy my life even with these panic attacks.” I experienced several more panic attacks after that, but they eventually subsided and I stopped getting them. I did not take the medicine. I have been mentally healthy ever since.
Rose Kim omg this is so happening to me right now... I just can’t get over anxiety but I realised that same thing, the more I fight against it it increases and drives me crazy. Now i feel relieved for your comment, i still have some anxiety daily but I’m allowing it to be ok and accepting it. It’s working, slowly but I’m sure I’ll get better.
There's a doctor on TH-cam that says the same. Fighting it makes it worse and last longer. The adrenaline subsides in 15 minutes on its own. Sit with it and let it be. Don't try to force anything. EMDR works too. Taking a walk and moving forward and also moving eyes back and forth.
thank you so so much for sharing your experience this helped me. i've struggled with an eating disorder much of my life but beating myself up for giving into it and not being "perfectly recovered" doesn't help. we need to talk more about mental illness and manifesting!
I think that a middle ground manifestation is manifesting the right medication that helps manage the condition. At least that’s what happened to me. My medication gets rid of all the symptoms but I’ll still have to take it daily.
Notes: -don’t exclude your resistance, include it. -give permission to react to your resistance and observe it and allow it to change on its own. -make a list of the things that bother you
this is so much better than mental diet. the conception of mental diet made me panic that i should push my resistance aside and immediately replace it with positive thoughts. i felt so guilty. when i watch your videos about accepting and including resistance i feel so much better with myself.
Daniela, this comment is 3 years old but I completely agree with you. These videos saved my mental health. I just feel so much lighter. The "screw the 3-D" and "be mean to your subconscious and make it your bitch!" stuff just didn't appeal to me... this is so much gentler and lovelier :)
Correct. Being honest with how you feel (good or bad) releases resistances and is part of the "allowing" thing we hear so much about in manifesting. It's not so much that the Universe likes honesty, it's that it can give you more of what you want when you are allowing and when we are repressing feelings or in denial of our reality we can move into resistance.
I watched The Secret ten years ago, and it did change my life. I have, however, been stuck on a few things, and have heard "resistance is bad" forever. You phrased this in a way that finally clicked for me in a big way. Huge thanks!!
I just had the biggest 💡 moment: I’d been spending so much energy trying to get myself to release resistance and detach by trying to get myself to accept a situation I’m not really okay with & this video just made me realize “wouldn’t it be a whole lot easier to ALLOW it to be okay that I’m not okay with the situation,” or allow it to be okay that I don’t want it and don’t like it. (if that makes any sense…but I think it does). Thank you for continuing to expand my understanding of what releasing resistance and detaching really are…about what the universe is really about…it’s about ALLOWING…even allowing things you don’t like. Because once you allow things (even things you don’t like) you allow yourself to experience it fully and energetically clear it and it no longer has power over you. I think I’m just going to take some time to allow myself to FULLY experience and embrace how much I don’t like/want/prefer this experience without trying to change it or talk myself out of feeling this way.

This is such a refreshing perspective on LOA. And also makes sense from a subconscious creation model in that we may be depriving the subconscious mind of valuable information for manifestation when we reject feedback that we don’t want. It’s funny that I wanted to learn more about resistance and how to accept the resistance, but I was resistant to your advice 😂 I watched 2 videos of yours before this one and I was really confused. I didn’t understand. So I accepted that and I decided let’s watch another video which is this one. And this video made it more clear to me about resistance.
I’ve been trying to drop resistance, change limiting beliefs for a while, however the icky feeling would still linger around them. This time, however, I wanted to see whether including negative beliefs would change anything. I’ve started small... I’ve been wanting to spot pink, purple and mint green cars. Purple and pink are not an issue anymore but I’ve always felt resistance towards the mint green ones .😅 This time I included the resistance, accepted it, trusting the law of attraction works and it is totally possible to happen. Only few minutes later, I was watching a youtube video where a mint green pumpkin patch truck showed up on the screen 😱 It was a decoration piece in the vloggers home. I’m ready to step up my game now. Thank you, Amy!!! ✨💫🌟

Oh my! This might be one of my biggest points of struggle until now - I somehow tried to not feel and avoid resistance at all costs - in the beginning bc something like "but then you manifest from your fears (and create even more of it!)" and later it morphed into something like "you are not spiritual/focused enough when you give into fear". AND - I judged myself SO MUCH for having doubts and fears at all! It's been nauseating... Thank you so much! 💕
Hi, Amy! I just recently discovered you and started watching your videos. I wanted to extend my appreciation for you in the manner you teach manifestation. Everyone else I've watched tells you to "detach from the outcome" or "forget what you desire." One does not detach from what they are trying to manifest because if they didn't want to include the outcome in their life, they wouldn't be TRYING to manifest it in the first place! I appreciate that you recognize the human reaction and emotional desire to want specific outcomes. Humans don't just "forget" things.. (not unless they have alzheimers or something). At least you take into the account natural human responses with your LOA teachings- and I thank you for that! 💗
Aha. So there are no "bad" feelings, just let yourself feel. This is haaaard for someone raised never to show or even allow any feeling or expression other than total smiling compliance. Not to self-monitor every emotion that comes up and self-flagellate if it's not "happy joy joy." And the way the Secret was presented way back when, you had to be happy and positive all the time, or no soup for you. Lol But this is what's kept me from manifesting the bigger stuff (belief has always been high), I'll work on it. Thanks! 🙏
I agree with a part of it....when we actually face negative circumstances it's impossible to think of something else or nice....so it's better to live through the moment and allow the reaction....slowly the reaction subsides. :) And also it's not human to always feel positive about what u want....doubts n insecurities do show up....n u have to be okay with it

Yes, allow the negative thoughts as best you can, which means you become non-resistant to them and since what we resist, persists, if you don't resist them, they won't persist! :)
A couple of unpleasant situations in my life has had me frustrated and quite disappointed. I guess I have to allow myself to feel those things. Thanks.

i have a really important question!! im trying to attract a specific person back in my life but i tend to show a lot of resistance because he goes to the same school as me and i have classes with him where i’ve seen him actually flirt with girls in front of me. i feel jealous when i see it but i try to act as if it isn’t there. i accept it. i can be a little obsessive and that’s okay because i just really wanna experience it again. anyways, my question is, where do i go from there? i go though it everyday and i just don’t know what to do, do i accept im jealous and try to feel better? do i just ignore it after a while ??? i’m kind of on a time crunch here and i’m not sure what to do. it’d mean a lot of you got back to me
I am confused. Someone else was saying to ignore the facts of our reality and continue to shift our focus on what we want. Your saying to see it, embrace it and accept it. If we focus on contrast wouldn't we experience more contrast? I am a bit confused
Yes (remember dont exclude it it’s already here) It takes practice and discernment but you also recognize not to IDENTIFY with unworthiness. It sometimes first a feeling not your identity. So this comes up too for me. Hey it happens, no harm, no fowl 🦉 But for now accept “ok I feel unworthy” or “I have this perception of unworthiness” or maybe even “I don’t want to identity with feeling unworthiness but I accept perhaps I do feel that” Sometimes there is strong memory or experience that is associated where statement felt “true” I am unworthy and I identified with it. Then proceed to challenge it. Michael James has this book “feel better no matter what”. He talks about feeling your negative feelings like mental gym workout. And he approaches “what’s good about feeling unworthy?” Well it perhaps my understanding worthiness is expanding. It means I’m being challenged to get clearer what it means to be worthy, it means I’m working self confidence, etc And the interesting thing about this is that it helps you then have more compassion for yourself for when it this come up
Is the idea just to allow yourself to feel and release the resistance, rather than to act on it? Because most times if I’m holding back a thought or a feeling, it’s because I don’t want it to lead to acting out on old/bad behaviors.
What if something happens that I'm annoyed about, and instead of accepting the annoyance, I say "that's ok, it's not a big deal" and try to move on? Would that be considered resisting? I don't want to give the negative things too much emphasis...but I also don't want to be manifesting wrong!!
the video is unclear she probably means that you cant undo something by resisting it because you are charging the subject what i do is let go anger should help you know and manifest something with urgency, not to be confused with stress and hopelessness..
Hi Amy, idk if you will see this cuz it’s a pretty old video buuuuuut for clarification…. If I’ve been avoiding mirrors cuz my reflection makes me uncomfortable while I haven’t been able to manifest appearance change for years now… it’s bc I’ve been excluding what I have? So if I start facing my reflection even though it makes me sad, it’ll start to change?
See, I was under the impression that (take the traffic situation for example)...that your goal is to accept the fact that there is traffic and there’s nothing you can do about it except just wait patiently and tell yourself “hey, it is what it is and I will be out of this eventually so why fight it” So you’re saying be annoyed but with no apologies or judgement on your part? Also, is there a way to manifest while avoiding the negative emotion? For example, an “it is what it is and everything will be OK” approach?
So it's like looking at the lamp in my living room, the lamp I cannot stand because it collects so much dust, saying well it's there & just because I hate it doesn't mean it's going to magically disappear. I accept it's there and it's going to be there until I got a new lamp that doesn't collect dust. Does that analogy work?

2 is believe it’s possible that it CAN happen (don’t bother trying to believe it will happen) And I don’t say “this or something better” to let go. I say “I want it, I don’t need it.” And then I also say “this AND something better” which I explain in this video: th-cam.com/video/52_fn1Tr3PU/w-d-xo.html But 4 is really about preferring it (gently wanting it) over needing it. You don’t let go of the desire, just the need for it. But if you like the wording that God has something better planned, use that if it feels good to you. Hope that helps! 🧡
Amy, I recently came across one of Neville Goddard's manifestation system called revision. One thing I find quite contradictive to your method is the fact he does not embrace the idea of actually accepting your resistance. He works with basically changing your reality in your head by revising all the negative aspects of your life. For example he says one technique is when lying on your bed at the end of the day to make a retrospect of the day that passed and when finding any spot you didn't like, you revise it in your mind to smth you wish had happened instead. And then imagining the following day will be exactly the way you hope it to be. What is your view on that? I know Neville is a real famous mentor and that's why I d like to know how you see all this. I would have to see or hear the exact wording before I could comment on that. I'm somewhat familiar with Neville's method and I don't recall what he says about accepting or not accepting resistance. Can you share a link to where you saw/heard this?
I just found this and Neville says, "If you take me seriously today, tonight do not let the sun descend upon any vexation of the day. Just look at it, don't deny it, don't duck it, look at it that you may prune it and then reshape it. Take the conversations with your friends today, were they pleasant, were they arguments, no matter what it is, were they negative?" So he says don't deny it and to look at it, which by acknowledging it and letting it be as it is, is the same idea as including it or accepting it. Resisting it is pushing it away, denying it, trying to get rid of it, fighting it, etc... So we are saying the same thing in different words and in slightly different methods. Just after this video I took a bath and found a dead centipede floating next to me. Resistance! I allowed my resistance. Let the water out. Grabbed a wad of Kleenex to remove it from the drain....it wasn’t there. No way it was small enough to fit thru. But I did kinda laugh at my resistance. I mean of course I resisted. Lol. To include the resistance means to accept everything exactly as it is (including how you feel)... so to prefer the one job but to accept that you have the offer for another job, accept you may have to decide without knowing if you have the preferred job offer... it's basically saying you are in this situation exactly as it is and you trust you'll be okay no matter what happens or what you decide to do. Resistance is "this SHOULD be different!" But it's not different in this moment so...okay, it should be different, it's not, now what? How can I make the best of this situation?

Aha. So there are no "bad" feelings, just let yourself feel. This is haaaard for someone raised never to show or even allow any feeling or expression other than total smiling compliance. Not to self-monitor every emotion that comes up and self-flagellate if it's not "happy joy joy." And the way the Secret was presented way back when, you had to be happy and positive all the time, or no soup for you. Lol But this is what's kept me from manifesting the bigger stuff (belief has always been high), I'll work on it. Thanks! 🙏

I agree with a part of it....when we actually face negative circumstances it's impossible to think of something else or nice....so it's better to live through the moment and allow the reaction....slowly the reaction subsides. :)
And also it's not human to always feel positive about what u want....doubts n insecurities do show up....n u have to be okay with it

Yes, allow the negative thoughts as best you can, which means you become non-resistant to them and since what we resist, persists, if you don't resist them, they won't persist! :)

i have a really important question!! im trying to attract a specific person back in my life but i tend to show a lot of resistance because he goes to the same school as me and i have classes with him where i’ve seen him actually flirt with girls in front of me. i feel jealous when i see it but i try to act as if it isn’t there. i accept it. i can be a little obsessive and that’s okay because i just really wanna experience it again. anyways, my question is, where do i go from there? i go though it everyday and i just don’t know what to do, do i accept im jealous and try to feel better? do i just ignore it after a while ??? i’m kind of on a time crunch here and i’m not sure what to do. it’d mean a lot of you got back to me

I am confused. Someone else was saying to ignore the facts of our reality and continue to shift our focus on what we want. Your saying to see it, embrace it and accept it. If we focus on contrast wouldn't we experience more contrast? I am a bit confused

But what about feelings of unworthiness? Do you embrace that as well? I’ve always thought that I have to fight those thoughts to change the belief
Yes (remember dont exclude it it’s already here)
It takes practice and discernment but you also recognize not to IDENTIFY with unworthiness. It sometimes first a feeling not your identity.
So this comes up too for me. Hey it happens, no harm, no fowl 🦉
But for now accept “ok I feel unworthy” or “I have this perception of unworthiness” or maybe even “I don’t want to identity with feeling unworthiness but I accept perhaps I do feel that” Sometimes there is strong memory or experience that is associated where statement felt “true” I am unworthy and I identified with it.
Then proceed to challenge it.
Michael James has this book “feel better no matter what”. He talks about feeling your negative feelings like mental gym workout. And he approaches “what’s good about feeling unworthy?” Well it perhaps my understanding worthiness is expanding.
It means I’m being challenged to get clearer what it means to be worthy, it means I’m working self confidence, etc
And the interesting thing about this is that it helps you then have more compassion for yourself for when it this come up
can you have resistance with fixing your self concept beliefs?
Is the idea just to allow yourself to feel and release the resistance, rather than to act on it? Because most times if I’m holding back a thought or a feeling, it’s because I don’t want it to lead to acting out on old/bad behaviors.

What if something happens that I'm annoyed about, and instead of accepting the annoyance, I say "that's ok, it's not a big deal" and try to move on? Would that be considered resisting? I don't want to give the negative things too much emphasis...but I also don't want to be manifesting wrong!!

she probably means that you cant undo something by resisting it because you are charging the subject
what i do is let go
anger should help you know and manifest something with urgency, not to be confused with stress and hopelessness..
in a n all inclusive universe, the only trick is to look away and stay focused on what you want

If I’ve been avoiding mirrors cuz my reflection makes me uncomfortable while I haven’t been able to manifest appearance change for years now… it’s bc I’ve been excluding what I have? So if I start facing my reflection even though it makes me sad, it’ll start to change?

See, I was under the impression that (take the traffic situation for example)...that your goal is to accept the fact that there is traffic and there’s nothing you can do about it except just wait patiently and tell yourself “hey, it is what it is and I will be out of this eventually so why fight it”
So you’re saying be annoyed but with no apologies or judgement on your part?
Also, is there a way to manifest while avoiding the negative emotion? For example, an “it is what it is and everything will be OK” approach?

So it's like looking at the lamp in my living room, the lamp I cannot stand because it collects so much dust, saying well it's there & just because I hate it doesn't mean it's going to magically disappear. I accept it's there and it's going to be there until I got a new lamp that doesn't collect dust. Does that analogy work?

2 is believe it’s possible that it CAN happen (don’t bother trying to believe it will happen)
And I don’t say “this or something better” to let go. I say “I want it, I don’t need it.” And then I also say “this AND something better” which I explain in this video:

But 4 is really about preferring it (gently wanting it) over needing it. You don’t let go of the desire, just the need for it.
But if you like the wording that God has something better planned, use that if it feels good to you.

Amy, I recently came across one of Neville Goddard's manifestation system called revision. One thing I find quite contradictive to your method is the fact he does not embrace the idea of actually accepting your resistance. He works with basically changing your reality in your head by revising all the negative aspects of your life. For example he says one technique is when lying on your bed at the end of the day to make a retrospect of the day that passed and when finding any spot you didn't like, you revise it in your mind to smth you wish had happened instead. And then imagining the following day will be exactly the way you hope it to be. What is your view on that? I know Neville is a real famous mentor and that's why I d like to know how you see all this. Thank you in advance 🙂
I would have to see or hear the exact wording before I could comment on that. I'm somewhat familiar with Neville's method and I don't recall what he says about accepting or not accepting resistance. Can you share a link to where you saw/heard this?
I just found this and Neville says, "If you take me seriously today, tonight do not let the sun descend upon any
vexation of the day. Just look at it, don't deny it, don't duck it, look at it that you may prune it and then reshape it. Take the conversations with your friends today, were they pleasant, were they arguments, no matter what it is,
were they negative?" So he says don't deny it and to look at it, which by acknowledging it and letting it be as it is, is the same idea as including it or accepting it. Resisting it is pushing it away, denying it, trying to get rid of it, fighting it, etc... So we are saying the same thing in different words and in slightly different methods.

Just after this video I took a bath and found a dead centipede floating next to me. Resistance! I allowed my resistance. Let the water out. Grabbed a wad of Kleenex to remove it from the drain....it wasn’t there. No way it was small enough to fit thru. But I did kinda laugh at my resistance. I mean of course I resisted. Lol. Anyway it’s gone. Bath time.

I have until the end of the week to get back to the first place about the offer. But it's not truely the position I want, I would love to be with the other company more. What do I do? How do I include this resistance? I felt like I was on a good track with accepting that I would love this position, but don't necessarily need it because I have the other offer. To include the resistance means to accept everything exactly as it is (including how you feel)... so to prefer the one job but to accept that you have the offer for another job, accept you may have to decide without knowing if you have the preferred job offer... it's basically saying you are in this situation exactly as it is and you trust you'll be okay no matter what happens or what you decide to do. Resistance is "this SHOULD be different!" But it's not different in this moment so...okay, it should be different, it's not, now what? How can I make the best of this situation?
