- Go Fish Description
In this video I’ll teach you how to play the GO Fish card game for kids using a regular 52 card deck. Well, I say for kids, but there are plenty of adults that like this card game too. This game is for 2 to 5 players, and takes about 15 minutes to play.

What happens if you are the first to run out of cards but someone else has the same number of books? Does the person who ran out of cards first still win?

if you pull a card from the pile that completes another book in your hand BUT not the book you asked for do you still continue with your turn
I love your question-it reminds me of a time when my friend and I were little kids and he tried something similar! The answer is: No, you don’t get to go again right away. You need to "fish your wish" to have another turn. But the good news is, you do get to put the book down!

I disagree on the rule where you get to go again when somebody has already told you to go fish. that's like double dipping or triple dipping, isn't it?
hi so can i ask...so on the first time you ask, you ask for a 7 then moana give you her two 7 so now you have three 7's, now you'll ask again.. here's my question.. can you ask another player the same card? can you ask him or her if she/he have a 7? or not?

I ever played this game card on PS1. Who has more four kind sets, is win. And who hasn't cards on hands = win too by without has four kind sets.
I never tried it on the PS1. Which do you like better, the PS1 version or playing it with real cards?

Be careful! If you guys can get through the entire fish pond without one match you will be the most unlucky Go Fish players in the universe. A wormhole will open up in the center of the table and suck you all into another dimension.
Then you guys will just play without drawing from the pond, and the first person to get a match wins. At that point you will all be transported back to earth. :)

why not mix and spread the deck on the table to. ake it easier to fish from?

Hi Killowski! Great question. There is a version of this game where the last person asked gets to go. But In this version, you go clockwise. I think that’s the best way to play!
What do you mean by "if you draw the card you asked for you get to go again" you mean ask another player for a card or draw another card from the top of the deck or fish pond?
Old comment, I know, but in Hoyle PC Games, he usually means going to ask another player for a card. Because drawing the card you asked for is technically getting the card you wanted/needed, it acts as though you've taken one from a player, even though the pond is not a player.
What this means is, it's essentially a lottery game.

Hi! Thanks for the question. When you run out of cards in the fish pond the game is over. Whoever has the most books is the winner and if they have the same amount it’s a tie.

The family plays game of Go Fish but with animal cards.
The game makes no sense to me. A player asks another player if they have a certain card. The other play could just lie and say they don't have it. Who keeps track of what was asked and what others' replies are?
I am a PhD Mathematician. I love proving theorems. I love mathematically modeling things, including modeling law and justice and politics, my own way. I admire the modeling game theorists have done (e.g. John Nash), but I have never believed that their way is anything special or unique. I love proving things about infinite classes of games, complexity classes.
But, I have zero interest in playing any actual games. Never have.
This might help it make more sense: this is a game for young kids and it relies on the honor system. If you’re looking for a game that requires more strategy, I recommend you check out my videos on Spades and Gin Rummy. Both are easy learn but offer depth of play.
I'd call "Go Fish" as "Find Scraps" and the "Book of Cards" nah it is "Collection of Scraps"

Hey Josh, kind means the value of the card, here’s an example: Queen of ♥️, Queen of ♣️, Queen of♦️, Queen of♠️. Hope that helps!

Nobody is going to keep track of that and what cards players have after many rounds.
This game relies on the honor system.
I forgot how play for some reason
