In a RC tank battle i cant imagine using the Tamiya King tiger anymore, i have yet to build my KT , as it would need a better drive unit, metal tracks and other more durable parts. I bought the T KT about 6 years ago with a few extra parts , ball bearings for the wheels , metal mud flaps as that always breaks and the IR fighting system by Tamiya. Grand total was 800 USD. Now it costs even more, if this behemoth actually gets close and hits the tamiya it would literally just crush it. So i say goodbye KT youre going back to ebay!
Looks like a very nice tank. But, how is the quality of that metal body and hull? It looks like sheet metal. Why not use steel or aluminum? I also noticed it doesn't recoil when firing the gun. or, did I miss it? How does this full metal Mato tank compare to the Henglong full metal tank? Aside from the price. That full metal Henglong tank I believe cost almost $5000.00 US dollars.
Hi It's not sheet metal. The fenders are sheet metal. The upper Hull is a die cast alloy. The difference between the two is not comparable. The HL you described is a different scale, larger, 1/8th scale. The Mato is 1/16th scale.
@@taco6658 well- it's the internet, and they made these videos specifically for such effects, and they did prep the tanks for this- but notice they never show what happened after!
okay...thats funny!black screen 4 min hahah äähh the lower hull is better to alone for KT project.upper hull and turret can be the Torro one and so on!!! Thanks for this video
I’m gonna want a custom object 260 metal tank(World of tanks version ) that can go very very fast like video game but if it’s possible and later on (helping dad with bills since he got surgery)
Warum dreht man den Turm mit Gewalt über die Rutschkupplung ? Als sogenannter Insidern sollte man hier eine bessere Lösung zeigen . Turm nur mit Akku drehen . Der Antrieb ist doch wieder aus Kunststoff . Mfg.
Tamiya is a overprice chunk of plastic. Not only tamiya cost more, it needs to be put together like a plastic model. Not worth extra money, time and effort.
I have a Mato King Tiger and whilst it looks great the metal Mato uses is of poor quality. Some of the small parts on the KT turret have already crumbled away. By far the worse Mato model is the M36. Loads of small cracks in the metal appeared on mine. I tried to sand them them out but eventually the parts just broke/crumbled into pieces. Come on Mato - you can do better than this.

Nice, too bad the barrel doesn't recoil when the main gun is fired like the main gun on the Taigen IR and Airsoft Tiger I.
If I'm not mistaken the IR version of this tank flashes and recoils
@@FeddyGrunt the tank recoils not the "barrel", that's the difference.
The IR version has barrel recoil. Check the official Mato video
Why do you have to disconnect the battery after turning off? Also can it go in water? Thanks
good habit, to protect the battery, and best NOT to go into water. Electronics go zap!
@@StanlleyLegion ok thanks, I was just wondering about the water thing because I saw many videos where it went in water and was fine.

@@StanlleyLegion ya your right.
awesome review, any recoil action with the update???
Yes there is correct recoil action
Hello, could you tell me how long the gun is? Including Gun mantlem 30 or 33 cm?

whooops!! i knew i missed something!
No muzzle brake? Really?
It's in the kit
Do they offer this as a kit to assemble?
No barrel recoil, turret traverse is not to scale so bin the controller and get an Elmod instead…

Sorry, no such tank available

I would change this overpriced bunch of pot metal ot Tamiya kit any day :D
true, but the MATO lower hull is solid and reliable to run on off-road. Indeed Tamiy's details are better.
Tamiya s running gear is good for indoors only
