Damiano wrote the lyrics when he had been gone from home for a long time during their time in LA, He felt very much homesick and missed all his loved ones, so he wrote the song about what if he should never see them again...
You guessed correctly because the one in the video is meant to represent Damiano's funeral (fictional of course)... He dies without saying goodbye to his loved ones so he comes back at his funeral to convey his message.....

Or Fear of loss.
The song is open for interpretation and most people who have lost someone will relate in one way or another.
But I like your take on lyrics very much and think it's probably correct.
Oh what a fantastic powerful rock ballad with this wonderfully haunting melody and Damiano's voice, which captivated me from the start. I personally thought he was singing about losing someone. But if you're thinking in a different, more abstract way than a funeral like the one shown in the video, then your take on it makes perfect sense too, HAP. Even the lyrics can be interpreted both ways, perhaps also depending on one person's experiences. That makes this song so relatable for many, I think 🤔. Great analysis HAP and fantastic song selection Zana 🥰🙋🏻♀️.
It's a good song. Different from what I expected.The lyrics sound like he is lamenting either about what is or what it would be like in his absence or that of someone dear to him. Very much open to interpretation. Well executed! Interesting take on this song, Hap! 💜🎵💜🎵 good choice, Zana.

Ha pensato " se muoio adesso qui da solo i miei cari sanno quanto li ho amati ? " E così ha scritto la canzone come se fosse una lettera di addio
Il video racconta il funerale di Damiano ... Lui torna sulla terra per dire addio a tutti ( perché era morto all'improvviso senza poter salutare nessuno ) ma all'inizio non sa che e il suo poi si ricorda e legge la lettera con le parole mai dette ... Tutti lo riconoscono e scappano terrorizzati tranne gli amici del gruppo che cercano di trattenerlo ... Ma lui non può restare e quindi torna nella sua tomba ( l'acqua che c'è sono le lacrime versate per lui 😭 )
