V is respectable and free artist who will not give up his girl, and we will be respect him as fans, and we will be happy when he declares himself that he is in a relationship because we know our limits as fans of his art , his personal life or make story about his personal life is not of our business . This is only frustrating when adults think of this superficiality, leave the song, his voice, the aesthetics in MV, the melody, the and all these details to talk about rumors.

For me when I am not in a relationship, everywhere I look there are happy couples in love and makes me feel miserable and alone. When I am in a relationship I don't notice what is going on around me because I'm so blinded by love and usually I can only see a lot of breakups. No matter the situation you can't escape destiny or should I say death. (singles want to marry and married people want to be single again, lol)

Most of the celebrities wants to keep personal life private regardless west or east not that they can’t date or there’s rule they shouldn’t date. He didn’t wrote the lyrics on 2009 he had 14 years old , he said this is just a fun song to put a smile on army.

You know it's a lie so that Taehyung filed a lawsuit on the account that spread the rumors and edited the pictures , It would be a silly if you link all his projects with a lie and a media game , Tae's fans know how he respect his friends and family & If he was in a real relationship, I think he would respect his girlfriend's position and not abandon it. The funny thing is that you are adults, I don't know how you think in this way. We all know how that in the Korean media, Taehyung free from the shippers.
Its crazy how people want to tie music video to unconfirmed rumours! As if every video has to be related to real life, Tae is so artistic and has vision for every song. With his solo releases he had this feeling of longing he wanted to explore. Sometimes artists just make good music that they love and it doesn't have to be from their own experience

This interpretation could be very accurate, the amount of hate he received was insane and it made me remember his weavers comment on a post where a fan added his photo with Olivia in the Grammy with the caption ( I can’t see this I hope you are always alone) and he replied (you know that I want to be a father, right?)… the idea is heartbreaking, he is also a human that needs that connection in his life
And before someone jumping the comment, it doesn’t matter “WHO” the concept still stands
I feel like your interpretation is an accurate one in regards to "idols" and relationships, though there are a few interpretations that can be pulled from the mv & the lyrics, but I believe your interpretation (which was mine as well, when I first watched) supports the lyrics also. Though some may say they don't feel this way and would fully support him, we know the hate he received, and the hate the women he was linked with received...also if you follow KPOP there are idols right now who are experiencing this as their relationships have been made public, and had to issue apologies and it is an unfortunate thing to want someone's dream,& livelihood to be taken away because they fell in love with someone who is not "you" or the fandom. I mean an idol in a relationship is literally labeled a scandal😔

Girl stop writing fanfic his fans never hating him dating he has rumours many idols and actresses, we know Taehyung and that was fake rumours and his songs isn’t about her, he is talking about someone he knows since 2009 before he was idol, Taehyung is the only idol who told his fans he will never date fans and he will get married and have children and we love him for that do we don’t want people using his music for fake ship that is disrespectful.

And if it was just about music and artistry, and nothing related to him? Like most of the art out there? Movie, music, painting, dancing. Just expressing whatever feelings everyone can feel at some point in life? Whether it's inspired by personal experiences or by the world around us. I found the obsession of people about celebrity's private life very weird. You will only see that in K-pop (and BL world). I found that bringing that topic here is inappropriate and unnecessary (and yes alleged since nothing has been confirmed, just lawsuit against slander). What I get from that MV, is that relationships don't define your happiness. Alone, just friends, in love, all different stages can be happy or messed up at some point. At the end it's you and you (he ended up in bed with himself). A love yourself kinda feeling. You are the one handling your own happiness. I wish V to always feel true happiness, in a relationship or not :)
I agree with this interpretation. I love that this video is up to everyone interpretation, that prooves its a really well made video.
In the lyrics, V said he prefers the friendship to end because he don't want to pretend anymore that he's not in love. I think in the end of the MV, when the two him (V/Tae) talk to each other, is a way of reunite himself with in thoughts and what he wants and feel.
The lyrics end with the friendship that must end. I think he's ready to get his girl in the end of the video. Beeing reunite with himself, live in a world that is not cleave (cliver), separate in love or hate, happy or sad, because we all know the world is not black or white. The song sound really good.

There is another member of BTS who also repeatedly dies in his music videos and comes back as two versions of himself. In the lyrics he mentions '09. Back then those two members frequented the same bus route in Daegu unbeknownst to each other. None of the other members had met yet.

It is very inappropriate to try to tie music video with somekind of rumoured relationship. Fake or not, you as sensible people should resepct Tae and not to spread any unconfirmed information, also trying to tie music video to it. Tae deeply artistoc person, he makes music based on mood he wants to express, he is also a romantic as he said and loves feeling of longing. Not any song has to be about real life it can be abstract, about general feelings you want to explore.

They already mentioned IN THE VIDEO that this might not be about the Jennie case, but any romantic relationship in general that V feel like he need to hide as an idol. For people who try to claim Tae's fans respect and wont care about his romantic choice, yall would contradict yourself and throw a fit if Jennie case is ever mention.
