Isnt this man Austrian/German & arrived the USA not speaking a word in English?why do peolle love changing their accents. Now his accent has completely changed, he speaks in a deeper accent than Americans themselves. So does he change back when he goes home/speaks to his parents? How come Arnold Schwazenegger still proudly speaks in his Austrian accent?
It happens. These days, they cannot hold kids back unless their parents say so. I was working as a substitute and I had a young man from Mexico in the 2nd grade. He knew no English and no one tried to really help. He colored all day.
I have 10th grade students who can’t yet read. It definitely happens, the educational system has a number of flaws and students have unique sets of challenges.
