I’m a pretty good person. Try to do the right thing. Yet I’ve had to check my heart many times as to whether I was taking the low road of blaming others to excuse myself from doing the tough work of accountability and change. People can change careers, and people can have 3-4, or more careers through out their lifetime, it's nothing wrong with that.

My two best friends in AIT were black, my drill Sgt was black, half my class was black, and nobody was racist but her! When she accused me of being racist, I expressed who my best friends were, people behind me told her im not racist, i told her shes racist because she goes to an all black school, she doesnt talk to whites, and the reason she called me racist was that she was projecting her feelings on to me!! All because she was not helping us clean and I said so. Rather than assess her actions, she called me racist. This guy totally reminded me of her. Im not walking on egg shells for anybody. If you dont like honesty, then go disappear in your denial. We need more honesty in this world. We need to hold others accountable, i dont care who it is. My first born's oldest friend from childhood is a black girl (who grew up in my home) is today calling me a racist. In fact, time of service doesn't really dictate whether I should use the word "career" or not, because military service is already a career itself. Unless you have your own view on people's job, and you like to judge differently, that's fair, but again, yes, military service is a career itself. People can change careers, and people can have 3-4, or more careers through out their lifetime, it's nothing wrong with that.
You did not have a career in the Military. A career is 20 yrs. and you didn't finish it. I am married to a 23 year Vietnam veteran, that's a career. In order to be classified as a veteran you must have been in combat.

That was your view, or opinion on how people that should be treated based on their time of service and what they did, but it was not a fact. Though I got mad respect for those that did 100% to get max benefit, but for me, they are no different from guys that did less. Career is still a career, because just of what it is, long or short. I still did hit my mark in my career though, I also was deployed to combat zone, even though I did not get shot and my job was on front line: infantry, let’s say that I was lucky. Of course, it would be nice to get shot, but then at same time, I wouldn’t worry about it because I wasn’t there for someone getting killed so that I could get a medal.

When I was in the military, a black girl accused me of being racist cuz she didnt like me. My two best friends in AIT were black, my drill Sgt was black, half my class was black, and nobody was racist but her! When she accused me of being racist, I expressed who my best friends were, people behind me told her im not racist, i told her shes racist because she goes to an all black school, she doesnt talk to whites, and the reason she called me racist was that she was projecting her feelings on to me!! All because she was not helping us clean and I said so. Rather than assess her actions, she called me racist. This guy totally reminded me of her. Im not walking on egg shells for anybody. If you dont like honesty, then go disappear in your denial. We need more honesty in this world. We need to hold others accountable, i dont care who it is. White, Asian, black, spanish, whatever, and i expect people to be honest w me. If im not doing my part, say so!! If im being selfish, impatient, bitchy, etc, tell me. I prefer it over fake acceptance.
