Agreed. That engine torques too much under throttle blips. You would only expect to see that much torque flex under heavy load such as heavy throttle start-of from stop and not just blipping the throttle.
Whoever added the veneer was a amateur - very poor job it's bubbling (sign of a beginner) they did not use a steamer. Expect the wood to be Amateur hour
