We met at LaSalle Secondary School in Kingston Ontario and we’ve been together for over 8 years now. Keith comes from a bilingual military family and Devon from a Kingston family of teachers. We made it through Queen’s University together where Keith studied Mechanical Engineering and Devon, Concurrent Education and Global Development. Come January 2022 we have bigger plans in mind. Our goal is to #travel full time, become self-employed, and #explore the world while sharing what we’ve learned and capturing our #experiences.🌎✈️📚

i didn't know u need a national parks pass !! im preparing for summer 2023 thansk for all the tips !
We would totally recommend getting one! You can buy day passes when you get there but if you plan to hit more than one park the pass is totally worth it :) happy we could help!
We drove across Canada from Calgary in 2016 & since I grew up driving the TransCanada & Yellowhead, we drove just south of the TransCanada & it was so worth it! The Yellowhead from Manitoba to Prince George in BC is also scenic.

@@KeithandDev it was , thanks heaps. Can you give an opinion for what kind of car to hire for winter. We want to drive From Toronto to Quebec but being from Australia we don't have much experience with snow. Any advice will be appreciated. Thanks 😊
@@kevinandange Hi guys! Yeah Toronto to Quebec in the winter is an easy drive. Don’t drive at night if you don’t need to, and check the weather radar to see about incoming snowfall as you drive. The roads get cleared and salted really quickly too as long as your not in the middle of a storm. In terms of good vehicles, id recommend any van or SUV (quebecois love their awd Subaru if you plan on really being in the snow). Naturally winter tires will be installed. Hope this helps! Quebec and Montreal in the snow are truly amazing.

When will you guys head back to Canada?
@@kevinandange if you are renting the car during the winter months ( anytime between November and March I would say) it should automatically have them already on. You could ask to be sure but almost all cars in Ontario and Quebec will have winter tires for those months so I assume rentals would as well :) we are planning to head back to Canada in December and travel until then! :)

I know you guys said you didn't test your build before you went on the trip, so I was just curious what kind of changes you would have made to the build?
Hey Julia, thanks so much for watching our video. That’s a hard question, we were really happy with how it turned out (minus our stove breaking 😂). In terms of the actual van, our bug net set up, we didn’t use very much and honestly kept falling apart so maybe finding a better solution for that. Keith did hit his head off the roof many times in bed, so mentioned that it would be nice to lower it. But that would mean less storage space, so in the end I think we would keep the height, in order to have the storage :) I hope that kind of answered your question!

Any advice if you do need to bang it out in a week to relocate for a job?
You can do the Prairies in 1 or 2 days (not much to see) and take your time in the Rockies :)

Do you have any type of itinerary or list of some of the amazing places you stopped at?
Unfortunately we don't yet, you'll have to follow along the vlogs from the road trip for that one but it's a good idea for us to do on our website. Stops included: Bruce Peninsula NP, Manitoulin Island, Marathon, Sleeping Giant PP, Thunderbay, Fort Francis, Kenora, Falcon Lake, Winnipeg, Fort Qu'Appelle, Regina, Grasslands NP, Dinosaur PP, Calgary, Exmoor, Banff NP (Lake Louise, Moraine Lake, Bow Lake), Golden (Glacier NP), Revelstoke (Yoho NP), Kelowna, Whistler, Vancouver, and White Rock. Ok I’m confused where you can wildcamp in a camper van in Banff I’m thinking of visiting from uk but I’m reading wildcamping is not
Permitted
It’s not permitted to wild camp in most places and especially National parks. We stayed outside of Banff on a lake with other wild campers. There are apps like iOverlander to help with this! Hope this helps and thanks for watching!

Hi Andrew, this video was pretty early on in our TH-cam journey and we are learning as we go. We hope we have improved since then. We hope you still found some tips helpful and if you watch any of our new videos hopefully they are better. Thank you for advice though!
