Thanks for helping the home owners out. They were obviously keen gardeners (so many garden beds & vegie patches) before their health deteriorated. It must give them a real boost every time you you show up. Thanks for helping them stay in their own home 🏡 well done Ryan!
Ryan, you have the patience of a saint! Excellent job on this back yard, and I agree that just strimming the vegetable garden area makes the most sense. It seems rather unlikely that the gardening bug is going to strike this family anytime soon. As you said, if it does you can always dig it up for them. Heart breaking to see all that overgrown again. All the wonderful, hard work you did to uncover all that stone work. Cannot wait to see it when you finish all the details. Such an amazing transformation.
The first video i watched of yours was the first in this series. You have done so much to help this couple and others that are not able to maintain their garden for what ever reason. Your giving them so much more back than a tidy garden. Depression can be a big factor and you doing this can help them. You have a heart of gold ryan and i love watching your vids. ❤
I don't understand why some people are being so negative on these comments. The owners are obviously not able to do upkeep. Ryan mentioned a few times in this series that he will do maintenance going forward. Never judge.
100% correct. I am a believer in freedom of speech so people can say what they wish however, as you've mentioned, this couple simply isn't able to take care of their garden due to depression, back problems and sight issues.
@@earthtrimgardens2249can you maybe do a weed killer plus reseed so you don't have to work so hard next time? Between you and the guy I watch in Tasmania, Australia only has vines, not grass 😅.
Oh wow!!!!!! You were holding out on us!! I was thrilled to see you were back here!! Wow the weeds had grown however they are nowhere near like before! I admit, I wished I could reach through the screen and spray some Weed and Feed onto that centre part. I also would pull up those planks and turn it back into lawn. Sure it will mean ongoing mowing but so much easier to care for. Even just removing the planks and mowing it regularly so the weeds don't get too far would be good. Of course neither I, nor you Ryan can choose that for the owners. You really have improved that back yard so much. You really have put in the hard yards there. Well done!
I agree with that comment there are people out there with either physical or mental issues because of these issues then there are people like Ryan who help hard off to you Ryan
These garden maintenance videos are my bedtime viewing so relaxing seeing everything coming together no murder or depravity, good for an old female gardener like me 😊
There seem to be a large number of comments on this video relating to "lazy" or "unappreciative" owners. Please know this is not the case. One suffers from major back issues and depression and the other is legally blind so they simply can't manage their garden. I will be regularly maintaining this garden once it is completed so it will stay in a good condition from here on out 😀
Hi Ryan. I am currently binge watching this as unable to go and do my gardening work today (puppy pulled his stitches out and can't be left unsupervised). If you are still looking after this garden is there any way you could maybe do a short one day to update us on what it looks like now?
Yay! Part 12!! lol For the most part is staying the way you left it. That vegetable garden is going to be a mess all the time I guess? Is there a way to stop at least the weeds from growing back? I always wondered about that 😁 You are a good person to do this for them. When I lived with my grandsons and I got fed up with them not mowing (I had a place in the back yard ) I bought myself an electric weed eater with the cord and would go out for about 20 min intervals (resting in between) and do as much damage as I could 🤣😂 It took me probably three times longer than it would have been for them with their gas mower and weed eater. But I got the job done! I have sever osteoarthritis in both my knees and left hip so it takes me awhile to get things done. 😂🤣 Thank you for another enjoyable clean up hon. See you next time! 💚💚💚

I feel that. I have an occasional lawn that I do that only calls me once it's well past easily mangable height. Doing it later this week in fact in the NZ summer sun that isn't as brutal as AU but close enough. Best intentions and all that but sometimes we can't maintain everything as we would like to with available time and options.

Are you being played for a sucker? It’s one thing to volunteer your time and infinite energy to reclaim the mess this property was. It’s quite another thing to return and find the yard in practically the same condition. Do they have no money to pay you? Are they sick, old, lazy, poor, all of the above? I think everyone is in agreement that you should tell us. We’ve been through this with you and all your videos so it’s understandable that no one wants to see you being taken advantage of. Людям должно быть стыдно так жить...Кругом грязь...
Confused a bit but if you were here just three months ago, why hasn't t owner maintained property? There w even crap thrown into the yard that should be in a shed or trash in. Just curious... This is laziness. I ll go watch another video now. 😡
The nerve of them not to lift a finger is so disrespectful to you. Are you fooling yourself that you’re making money on these videos? Hard to justify.
One is legally blind, the other had major back issues and depression so I never expect them to be able to do much if anything. As for pay, they have offered me money but I have refused so I am definitely not being taken for a ride.
