I'm not usually a fan of collaborations between channels, BUT I would love to see you guys team up with Thomas and James from Throttle House for a road trip of this caliber. I think it would be hilarious, and interesting, and tons of fun.

The only problem with that is one of approaches, Thomas and James tend to script/plan out the trip while Paul and Todd are more free form. But I agree, getting the law four together would be a hoot.

And there's the other small issue of Utah, and Canada! I've thought for ages now how stellar a collaboration would be. Logistics would be a nightmare. Schlitz and Tofu with the Elise and C8. I'm busting up just thinking about it.

A magnificent road trip that went to so many of the places that I was taken to as a kid and then I took my children when they were old enough to go and remember it...such special times! I'm so grateful to you guys for doing this one, it was one of your best and touched my heart in a very special way. How many times, living in the Midwest, I would drive to Sioux Falls and visit Falls Park over a three day weekend and then drive to the rest stop at Chamberlin, SD overlooking the Missouri River, aching to go further west to where the special places truly are only to turn around and head for home. While trying to be grateful I made it as far I had and saw what I did.
Bucket list for me is to spend a week driving my 1999 Miata 10AE on the Needles Highway and all about Custer State Park, top down, wind in my hair...basking and, yes, possibly basting.
Again, you guys are great at this and I'm really grateful you brought me along for the ride.

I remember one time my dad showed me your guy's work years ago but I have finally come back and have been really enjoying the podcast which is what I primarily consume. These roadtrip films have really inspired me and I can't wait to jump at the opportunity to take my own. Considering I haven't personally traveled and stayed overnight somewhere completely different, the idea of an enthusiast roadtrip excites the heck out of me and I think i've gotten a few friends excited as well, which I have shared this video with. I hope in the future we can plan something similar to this as an enthusiast driver's road trip.

Hi Todd and Paul! I've been a fan of EverydayDriver for many years now and this is my favorite video you've made (next to the episode Paul bought his Cayman). This film spoke to me in so many levels as I feel that road trips are a lost hobby for many people today. One day I'll be taking my two kids along with me on one of these epic journeys as my parents did back in the 80's. If I ever make a video about it, it's thanks to you both for reigniting that passion. Looking forward to more!

Thanks for what you do and for taking us along! As a young sailor I had the privilege of driving across our country a few times. Unfortunately during those drives I never took the time to stop and smell the roses. The cold war sites reminded me of my time serving on Ballistic Missile Submarines and what a dark time it was during the cold war. I am also amazed at the construction of all the National Parks and the amazing roads and highways that were built during the early parts of the 20th century. I've always said that everyone needs to drive across the country at least once in their life. It's a life changing experience that should be done when you are a kid and then later as an older adult, preferably in a sports car or on a motorcycle. I have been lucky enough to do it both ways. Again thanks for sharing!

Beyond how cool it was to see you guys visit all these national monuments, the first half of this video is a real showcase to how underrated Wyoming is as a state. The vast emptiness and lack of people and cities is what appeals so much to me about it. And then you find the few towns it does have are typically really interesting, laid back places. If the state did more to diversify its economy (most of it is energy and mining), it would be booming. But then a lot of its charm would be lost. Great video.

So many of the points you put across during this trip ring true with me and my past adventures, so even though this was a different continent this made me reminisce happy memories while enjoying your adventure unfold. Taking a sports car may have been swapped for a sports bike but the places I've accidently found or seen then randomly stopped at and countries I've ended up in just because I took a trip to 1 place were made all the better due to the choice of taking the "wrong" vehicle for the job, only to discover some amazing roads where that choice was in fact perfect at that moment in time

Fantastic film guys! Amazing mix of cars, attractions, roads, humour, conflicting and dark thoughts, wall drug and getting pictures of your car in cool places. That’s what road trips is all about. Also reminded me that I need to add “automotively irresponsible” shirt to my collection.

Hey Todd, I want to share with you a memory from a trip I took from Denver, Colorado to Sayreville, New Jersey (pretty much Staten Island, NY). It wasn’t a road trip, more of a “moving trip” in a Penske Chevrolet box truck, that I chose to think of as a road trip. The truck had some steering or alignment issue that would reveal itself at around 40 mph and sort of “dissipate” around 50, but I didn’t let that stop me from having the time of my life. Back in 2005 Bluetooth wasn’t widely available and not all cars (if any) had them. My rental truck had just basic AM/FM radio with 2 speakers. So, I had my Sony boom box in the car with me, between the seats, blasting away. And I even managed to stack a few duffle bags between the seats to convert them into a bed for night time rest at truck stops.
The point I’m making is that when you’re out to enjoy the trip, you will figure out a way to do so. If I could have a blast in a Chevrolet box truck (with steering/alignment) issue, you sure as hell can have fun in a Lotus. As a bonus, when it gets to twisty canyon roads, I bet you’re having way more fun than Paul (and I have a feeling that on certain stretches of the road you’re beating him speedwise too). All this is to say that as much as I respect the Corvette, that Lotus is The Car for having fun 🙂 It is well worth the sacrifices you have to make to drive it…

Way fun as usual and putting us in the cars with you to ride along with you to enjoy both the roadside attractions and distractions. Incidentally I just upgraded my Fiesta ST with power stop brakes and put on Vredestein Quatrac Pro all season performance tires. Good choices!

Some 15 years ago, a friend and I were returning to west of Toronto from Ashville NC at a BMW club event. We drove the Blueridge parkway to the end and stopped overnight. We checked the map the next day to drive through Pennsylvania to Buffalo NY. Asking at the camp ground, about our chosen road, we were told: You don't want to go that way, it's not straight and goes up and down. Our response: But we do that's what we are looking for. On the way there we drove overnight around Detroit then across to Cleveland, at sunrise, arriving near the WV border early afternoon. Our ride was a 1990 BMW 325 Touring, Euro model not sold in North America. Parked next to a row of M3's, they were ignored and it got the attention because it was a unicorn car. Perfectly sized for two people and a bit of camping gear for a long weekend. Good times.

I traveled across the country for three weeks alone. I took the longest highway in the north of the country. I drove East to West and back. 7000 miles round trip. One of the most formative experiences in my life. I need to do this again.
Seeing the tower for the first time was a surprise. I wasn't even headed there. It just popped out from behind the trees and woah, it was shock. The closer I got, the taller it got.

In a very rare occasion, i was able to put him down early and was able to watch the entirety of this video. Thank you, a roadtrip really puts life into perspective and even just watching through youtube, it is truly healing

Thanks for the vid! I am an italian motorbiker, who loves to go to the french alps, where, on a smaller scale, some sceneries are similar to the ones in the vid. For the past 4 years money and Covid have prevented me from enjoying those roads as in previous years. Watching videos like these bring back memories and feelings. Thank you!!! But, as a previous owner of a 928 s... Well... you used the wrong car, now... 😂

I just did a 3k round trip from Ontario Canada to the Tail and the Dragon and surrounding areas in my 2014 BRZ. I know exactly what you guys mean, it was magical. I worry that it has ruined every other road for me, the BRZ was made for that road 😁 Awesome video once again guys, the three of you have out done yourselves once again. 👍

Sports cars, especially Vettes, are the ultimate road trip machines, especially out West! My love affair with Corvette started with a 2 week road trip along I-94/I-90 in a new C4 and continued 20+ years later with several road trips in my C6…

So much of what you both have said i resonate with:
As a kid, i paid no attention to the views on road trips, as a driver ive learned to enjoy the simple things in life like the views and the countryside.
Living in Queensland Australia, ive take my wife to Gladstone, Bundaberg, Gold Coast and Byron Bay regularly. So i bought a BRZ so i could enjoy every road trip.
Thank you so much for all your videos. Im in the process of making a T Shirt on my love of cars. and you have inspired much of it

I’ve had some awesome road trips in everything from a NC Mazda Miata to big family trips in my Jeep to backpacking off of a Honda Trail 125. It doesn’t matter the vehicle; there’s something truly American and enjoyable about road tripping.
