Gg Marth seems to rely so much on momentum. Soon as that first hit comes in its almost like a straight 60-80%, it's so good to watch. Is it time for the Marth mains to rise... 👀
Ignaize had the insight to wait the opponent's button presses and capitalize on a lot of 50/50s and tech situations and not all marth mains have that kind of patience.
@@zentember that's just it. Having that patience leads to momentum and the hits just keep coming. But to get into someone's head at that level is real hard! Fair play to ignaize
I just got the game. I tried every character, but being a melee player I gravitated to Marth. Even if he is "bad" in this game I am willing to put the effort in!
I’m thinking of learning Marth - and i’m seeing more now that he’s considered not great and I don’t get that. I get that the tippers aren’t a reliable way to get kills/damage which would then make Lucina a more realistic character to learn… but can someone explain why he’s not a great character? Edit: It doesn’t help that I’m watching Ignaize who’s godlike with Marth
Hey, I main Marth. I am not such a good player, but Marth really is the character that works the best for me. Playing him feels so natural. Now to answer your question, Marth is actually an amazing character. He is probably not as good as Lucina or Roy, but he is not that far from these two. The reason why people call him bad is because the core of ultimate does not fit Marth play style. Since the game is fast, it is significantly harder to hit the sweet spot of the sword. So the main problem is not about Marth itself, because this character is awesome, he has a good kill power, tremendous movement and frame data, he is good in the air, on the ground and even offstage ! The main problem with this character comes from the game’s core. But Marth certainly works, he is worth the effort if you enjoy playing him, except maybe if your goal is to become world number 1 and to win a major. Otherwise, you can learn how to play him and be competitive ! (Also I don’t want to trash talk the haters but those who call Marth a bad character must have terrible spacing so they can’t manage to play him but they won’t admit it 🤫 jk obviously)
@@gaut8615 Thanks for the answer! Actually since i posted that comment i’ve played Marth for a bit and he really is fun. His floatiness takes a lot of getting used to, especially compared to someone as agile as Cloud, my main, but i’m definitely going to keep using him. Learning spacing from a swordie like Cloud translates well too
I'm gonna offer some advice to you. When playing as ken, dont try to predict where your opponent is going to be right off the bat, but act second. Also, it seems as if he really caught on to you jumping in w/ nair. Try being more grounded and focus on walking instead of dashing around. When you get a nair hit, you can usually convert it into something good, but you're heavily punished for missing
Beautiful Marth gameplay. Bravo, Ignaize!
Fighting him sure is something else lmao
FUCK YEAH MARTH GAMEPLAY
ignaize is dope
