Healthcare is only universal in countries like Britain because every adult worker pays tax & National Insurance at source, before they even get their wages, for their entire working lives. Its not free. Lots of Brits are angry about criminals in prison getting better healthcare than regular people (prisoners get free optical and dental care, but it's not on the NHS). We're also not impressed with mass immigration (legal and illegal) bringing people in, who have never contributed a penny to the country, getting our health care (free at point of service) from Day 1.
Haha I kid you not, thanks to the awareness of these brought by Bernie, I just bought two of these for my twin boys due in June! Haha even used code Bernie for 10% off. Not even joking. Thanks, Bern! Now THATS capitalism!
The US is the only "developed" country that doesn't have some form of universal healthcare. And universal healthcare doesn't necessarily mean free (although ideally it would be). It means everyone has health coverage, either through universal government-provided healthcare or through universal health insurance (public or private). Everyone having access to healthcare is a crucial milestone of development in a country, and frankly the US not having it means it isn't really a developed country at all. The Affordable Care Act helped the US catch up a little, but it's still very far behind. If you want an example of a healthcare system that is very high quality and universal, look at Japan. They have universal mandatory health insurance, the government regulates drug prices and they have some of the best healthcare in the world.
@@technophobian2962 Japan is an ethnostate that has deep respect tied to everything they do in their culture. Their work ethic is also suicidally high. America could never ever be Japan. Our work culture, Open Borders, and lack of respect for eachother makes this place a cesspool of free will that can't achieve what Japan has. We pride ourselves too much on being independent and are so outrageously entitled that we don't even really understand how good we have it.
@@BourbonBandit-If you have private health insurance, you're already paying more than you would be if you were just taxed directly. Even if your employer provides health insurance, they're taking the cost out of your paycheck. If you don't have health insurance and you're a regular person, you can't afford to get seriously ill or end up in an accident. Bernie's healthcare plan would've actually saved you money, assuming you make an average (or close to average) income.
I actually like BOTH RFK Jr. and Bernie Sanders. I think they're two honest and intelligent men with some reasonable disagreements. The biggest one, is around "Is health care a human right?". RFK Jr.'s response was a good one. Which is, "the right of free speech" doesn't cost anyone a dime. It's an easy thing to think of as "a human right". But thinking of health care as "a human right" means "Someone needs to fund all the salaries of doctors, nurses, physical therapists, medical technicians, pharmacists, medical equipment sellers (not to mention the equipment itself), etc., to treat this person, FOR FREE, forever, regardless of how terrible they treat their own health, and that person has no financial responsibility whatsoever." If I could wave a magical wand, and make a magical money tree provide that service to all Americans on those terms, I would, because I don't want anyone to suffer more than they have to. But the problem, is there is no magical money tree. So to provide that level of funding, requires taking more tax money from the rest of us. A reasonable middleground I've heard proposed, is capping annual out-of-pocket expenses for all necessary medical procedures, therapies, and prescriptions for Americans, at 5K for households making less than 100K a year, and 10K for families making more than 100K a year. That's a non-life-destroying amount of money, but it's still enough to offset a massive tax hike, and enough to motivate people to TRY to take care of themselves. I wish the right and left would work together on SANE, middle of the road concepts like that, regarding "healthcare as a human right".
America isn't a socialist nation. If you don't like living here, then go live with your own people! What, you don't want to live around people like you, but I should?

If Sanders doesn't approve Kennedy it'll be the last straw... I used to be such a Bernie guy, but he's no longer the face of a revolution... he's turned into one of the swamp creatures.
If you think rfk and trump aren't the swamp I have some bad news foe you...
@@parallaxcrafttale simp
@parallaxcrafttale If you think trump and rfk are part of the swamp then you don't even know what the swamp is referring to
I see them agreeing on most issues here. Bernie is requiring RFK to pigeon hole himself, and refutes RFK’s nuanced answers.
Cmon Bernie, you’re only turning people against him that would otherwise agree with him.
Bernie had shown his hatred of big pharmaceutical and his love of big pharmaceutical “cheaper drugs” then “praise vax and condemn anti-vax” all in the same hearing.
RFK Jr's name should be:
Robert Dodger Kennedy!!!
What a lack of respect from bernie not yo let rfk talk. ..he know he has speak probs he needs to let him talk not interrupt him
Because he refuse to answer a simple yes or no question. He's dodges the questions, spews fluff, and wastes the time; in perfect typical.politician style. 😢
@@justiceforrevinathey are not “yes” or “no” topics. Bernie is just making him look bad.
They essentially agreed on most things. Bernie just didn’t allow RFK to provide a nuanced response.
@@justiceforrevinaBernie acted like a typical politician as well.
Why accuse only one what both are doing?
This needs to stop from both sides.

Rfk is a weak man
👏
What a complete rubber
The dude who sounds like he’s having a stroke every 2 seconds is in charge of our health system? Jesus we are skewed 🤦🏾♂️
Bernie Sanders is a boss. I can't deny that.
These are stupid questions to ask. lol
I highly Respect Bernie
Science????
Haha I kid you not, thanks to the awareness of these brought by Bernie, I just bought two of these for my twin boys due in June! Haha even used code Bernie for 10% off. Not even joking. Thanks, Bern! Now THATS capitalism!
Making medical choices based on political beliefs is a great idea

Thank You God
Please for the love of God, make RFK Jr go away
Rfk jr was definitely crying in the end.
Bennies is a communist 😂, free healthcare for everyone then you will get BS quality.
@@technophobian2962 I just don't want to be taxed heavily
He still cashed his big Pharma check!

You don't know what socialist means...
Do they make the onesie in adults sizes?
I dont know on what side of the aisle you reside, but thanks for the laugh. 🤣🤣 My favorite comment of the day!!! 😊🙏✌️
@ neither side.
Thanks, Bernie. We should definitely give up all our rights and freedoms to stop climate change.
Lol, strawman cuck.
Who let Bernie out of the insane asylum 😂
Crazy Bernie losing his mind over some onesies LOOOL, he is the ultimate champagne socialist
What has climate change got to do with this??? or onesies? lol! Time to retire Bernie....😎
Yes, how could climate change affect people's health or disrupt the current system? Makes no sense. No people needed health care after the floods in Florida or the fires in California, am I right?
Bernie is fantastic
Kennedy said all those things when he was staunch Democrat then he saw the light and the error of his ways and now..
