Seriously, how can ppl be confused about the story? His mother died in an earthquake when he was a child, one day he accidentally meets a girl who looks like his mother so he started hanging around her a lot. Then the girl finds out that it's not *that* kind of love and it's actually just tao missed his mother. So she leaves in the end, but Tao's still happy that he met her because it was like he saw his mum again even for a short time.

SM really thought this one through. Amazingly beautiful song with amazingly beautiful actors. A heart wrenching storyline, sexy ask mofo Tao and beautifully pretty Victoria as leads, who both are amazing at acting.
From what I know (correct me if I'm wrong). This story is based on the earthquake that happened in China in 2008. Tao and Vic(his mother) had a strong relationship. During the earthquake, Vic protected Tao and later died. Later in his life, Tao meets Vic(who looks like his mother) and protects her(like the car and the mob). Later out Vic finds out that she looks like Tao's mother and I don't know what happened from there on.

I think that using Tao as an actor in Zhang Li Yin's MV was a very strong marketing move on SM's part, I know that a lot of people might not have watched the MV if Tao hadn't been in it. But, now that we've seen Tao act, we know that he's incredibly talented, and now that we've seen Zhang Li Yin sing, we know that SHE'S AMAZING. I love her voice and I'm so happy SM is using smart ways to market her new video! The video was very original and her voice is absolutely astonishing!! I love it and I can't wait to see more from her!!!!!

This music video made me cry the fact that taos mother sacraficed her own life to save his and he found true love it was amazing. My fav part is wheb there both working and they bump into each other and he fixes her tie I found that really cute. This needs to be made into a movie cuz its beautiful. Not ma,y music videos r like this they normaly have fancy cars and sexy woman and all that crap but this artist chose it to be different. It stands out from all the others.

For once i understand why SM delayed the release of this mv... Wow, first SM story based mv with no crappy, cheesy sound effects and corny horrible story line. I started to tear up from the 0.16 second mark, and LiYin's voice from 2.50 onwards really, really touched me. And from 4.00 onwards the storyline was just so heartbreaking i really cried. First time i cried by just watching a mv... Victoria's acting is really fantastic, like, when i was watching the mv i didn't think that she was Victoria, the despration in her eyes when she saved protected her child, how she msg-ed her husband....esp when she acts as the mother. the despration in her eyes when she protected her child, how she msg-ed her husband knowing she would die .... And to think these beautiful, brave acts really do happen, during the WenChuan earthquake a teacher spread his arms out to protect two children, they lived, but he passed away... they had to cut of his arms in order to get the children out....idk but a round of applause for the director, as the lyrics go perfectly well with the mv too *ugly sobbing*

Well, that was depressing. But on the bright side, way to come back strong, Zhang Li Yin. She's certainly been put on SM's back burner for way too long.
SO basically Tao is the baby who, at the start of the video, is saved because his mum (Vic look-a-like) protected by hugging him. Tao who grows up didn't really have a great life with part time job and ramen, and everything he does reminds him of his mother. Then by chance he saved Vic who looks just like his mum, clearly he falls in love with her and gets rid of the gangster for her too. They get closer because of this but when Vic finds out why Tao likes her she seems to be shocked..? then it's flashback to his dad receiving the text message "I'm sorry I can't be by your side. Thank you, I love you. Later on, you must tell our son that mum really really loves him" A sort of hanging ending but such emotional storyline TT
I guess it's because she thinks that Tao is (in a way) using her as a rebound (sorry can't find other suitable words), and that he loves her not for herself, but merely because she resembles his mother.
Kat Goh I think it isn't clear as well whether he did actually fall in love with Vic. The mv mainly showed how he kind of wanted to be around her and how he felt the need to protect her (likely because she reminded him of his mum).

I am happy that Liyin is back to promote her angelic voice to the world once again! She has really improved through out her 5 year hiatus. Yea, I'm so sick of SM and their shit. She's so underrated! It's like in every mv she's in, there's usually another sm artist in it to promote the song. First MV that made me cry in ages.... I'll never forget this story from the earthquake. Tao's acting is amazing, and Vic did great too. Not to mention Liyin's beautiful voice. This is everything I've wanted from SM for years.

He's such a good actor too. He was so cool in this mv. Can they please turn this into a movie? I would watch the heck out of it.

When her house was falling, she used her body to make a cover to protect her son. The little boy was still sleeping peacefully when the team leader picked him up.
The medical doctor came quickly to exam the little boy. After he opened the blanket, he saw a cell phone inside the blanket. There was a text message on the screen. It said,” If you can survive, you must remember that I love you.” This cell phone was passing around from one hand to another. Every body that read the message wept. ” If you can survive, you must remember that I love you.” Such is the mother’s love for her child!!

I think that using Tao as an actor in Zhang Li Yin's MV was a very strong marketing move on SM's part, I know that a lot of people might not have watched the MV if Tao hadn't been in it. But, now that we've seen Tao act, we know that he's incredibly talented, and now that we've seen Zhang Li Yin sing, we know that SHE'S AMAZING. I love her voice and I'm so happy SM is using smart ways to market her new video! The video was very original and her voice is absolutely astonishing!! This music video made me cry the fact that taos mother sacraficed her own life to save his and he found true love it was amazing. My fav part is wheb there both working and they bump into each other and he fixes her tie I found that really cute. This needs to be made into a movie cuz its beautiful. For once i understand why SM delayed the release of this mv...
Wow, first SM story based mv with no crappy, cheesy sound effects and corny horrible story line. I started to tear up from the 0.16 second mark, and LiYin's voice from 2.50 onwards really, really touched me. And from 4.00 onwards the storyline was just so heartbreaking i really cried. First time i cried by just watching a mv... Victoria's acting is really fantastic, like, when i was watching the mv i didn't think that she was Victoria, the despration in her eyes when she saved protected her child, how she msg-ed her husband....esp when she acts as the mother. the despration in her eyes when she protected her child, how she msg-ed her husband knowing she would die ....
And to think these beautiful, brave acts really do happen, during the WenChuan earthquake a teacher spread his arms out to protect two children, they lived, but he passed away... they had to cut of his arms in order to get the children out....idk but a round of applause for the director, as the lyrics go perfectly well with the mv too *ugly sobbing*

Well, that was depressing. But on the bright side, way to come back strong, Zhang Li Yin. She's certainly been put on SM's back burner for way too long.
SO basically Tao is the baby who, at the start of the video, is saved because his mum (Vic look-a-like) protected by hugging him. Tao who grows up didn't really have a great life with part time job and ramen, and everything he does reminds him of his mother. Then by chance he saved Vic who looks just like his mum, clearly he falls in love with her and gets rid of the gangster for her too. They get closer because of this but when Vic finds out why Tao likes her she seems to be shocked..?
then it's flashback to his dad receiving the text message "I'm sorry I can't be by your side. Thank you, I love you. Later on, you must tell our son that mum really really loves him"
