I've seen Boss Bear, one day we were out driving in Banff and we looked up onto a train track on the hill/mountain and he was just standing there on the railway
So fun to watch these videos. My family has a long history in Banff. My grandmother was a hat check girl at the Banff Springs Hotel in about 1920. My mother and 6 of her 7 children were born in Banff and my father was once in charge of The Upper Hot Springs. These vlogs have been a reminder to me to not take for granted the beauty and majesty of where I grew up. I hope you come back to Canada one day and spend some time in other parts of this magnificent country.
I live in Calgary and this is so awesome to see my favourite channel experiencing Banff National Park for the first time. It makes me appreciate it even more seeing it through a new set of eyes. Gorgeous video - hope you loved Banff as much as I do!
Just visited Banff over the new year for 5 nights with my family. My favourite place I’ve ever visited. The mountains are magical. We were told the story about the boss bear too and just after we walked into an art shop with a gorgeous picture of him that is now hanging in our living room. Love from Australia 🇦🇺🇨🇦
Hi Kara and Nate, Another great vlog thank you for sharing. Nate I understand the coffee making in the morning - Marianne is always sleeping when I make coffee LOL. Glad you didn't come face to face with a bear !!! Happy travels - Chris & Marianne 🚌👍😀
When my mother-in-law was young, she and her husband used to camp at Lake Minnewanka; in those days you could just pull of the road and camp anywhere in the park. Many people did this, however, much of the original shore line of the lake is now under water, as the level of the lake was raised to supply water to a nearby hydro electric plant.
The gondola ride and the views from the mountain top were so beautiful covered all in snow. I’m glad you did the hike although you really were slightly underdressed for that weather.. Sometimes you just gotta do it to not regret it later!
Just want to let y’all know that your videos are getting me through studying for nursing school finals! They are perfect to have on in the background as I write my very dull pathopharmacology notes. Thank you and so glad you take us on your journeys ❤️
Guys, what ever you do in your future it must involve filming and editing. Sometime i find myself rushing to your channel just to watch these incredible videos and be amazed. And you keep getting better...how is that possible.
I love that you guys spent some time in Canada and in my backyard to boot! I hope you are able to see more of this beautiful country. You shoulda hit up Canmore.. it's similar to Banff but, less touristy and just beautiful with lots of great spots to hike, stay, eat, picnic, relax, etc.
I haven’t watched it yet, but I got the notification my ticket arrived and I have now flown to the place where travelling and coffee is life! This is my place!
this is a great vlog,, what a great example of what separates you from other travel vloggers...you literally go the extra mile to have an extraordinary experience. Thank you for sharing with us
Good morning Nate and Kara. The only way to catch up with you is one of your latest video logs. Have been watching since the beginning at least 5 videos per day. Still can not catch up , but enjoying you all, its like being there walking with you as I watch on my wide full screen PC. Used to travel a bit 2 decades ago when things were cheaper before the Euro came. You probably noticed how cheap food was in Cape town for your US Dollars. Have got up to your Mauritius vlog . You are the best , great job.
Holy moly y’all looked so cold 🥶!! The views were amazing and the crunch of snow under y’alls feet was so cool!! I had poutine while in Canada and it is👌🏼!!! Such a great day! And Nate, you are the sweetest for making Kara coffee out in the cold💗 Stay you 😘
it's really not that cold. They were ill prepared. look at what the other couple were wearing - fleece, full toques, whereas Nate didn't even have a hat on for most of the day. In Canada you have to dress for the weather.
Hi Kara and Nate I’m still pretty new subscriber of yours but watching your newer videos and old videos you have opened my eyes to what is out there. I want to explore the world has been a thought in my mind for a while but it will lots of years before that happens. Love you guys!
Living only two hours from Banff I've ridden up the gondola many times. Back in the '70's when I was a child I saw Chief Dan George sitting at the top having his portrait painted. Great memory!
My husband and I are watching this video after our honeymoon in Banff and are dying over some of the similarities… same boat tour, same gondala…. SAME SEAT AT EDDIES BURGERS YESTERDAY :))) love it!
WOW, that gondola view!!! We didn't get the chance to do that when we went to Banff, but we 100% will next time! 😍 Also, shoutout to Heath and Alyssa for rockin' that HEB grocery bag! #TexasForever
Adventures of A plus K yes! HEB is the best. We love our reuseable grocery bags from there. We also stock up on Mark’s Salsa every time before we leave Texas.
Just saw this video today while my boyfriend and I are planning our trip to Banff this summer. Glad you loved it! EDIT: So we went on our vacation and realized we had to live there. We moved there that same summer, I worked at Lake Minnewanka and he worked at the restaurant atop sulphur mountain ! We are now heading back in a couple of months! Re watching this video to curb my impatience hahaha
Sooooooo much amazing & colourful scenery... Snow capped mountain & autumnal trees both contrasting with the water & sky... Deer... I'd say Kara needs an intervention for her coffee addiction, but I think we'd miss some moments of hyper hilarity... :) 11:56 - Picture Perfect Postcard...
Just loving this video! Thank you for making me remember the time I went to Banff. Want to return some day. I'm new to your channel and just love you guys. Can't wait for the next post.
You 2 are so cute!!! I choose and love being single but y'all give relationship goals for sure. I love the pure kindness and respect you two have for each other. I'm new to your channel and loving it!!
I was just watching a video on BANFF from another vlogger, I have say, it's absolutely beautiful! Both your videos do it justice You're lucky to have experienced such a place. I want to go in the snow too!
Hey K&N, just wanted you guys to know, how much I admire your travel vlogs...Kara, your editing skills are awesome!!! Love you both to the moon and back!!!
ScottH5207 I was a bit worried the glass coffee maker might crack when Nate poured the boiling water in, as the coffee maker was sitting in snow on the top of the table.
I used to work on lake minnewanka back in 2004. that place has not' changed one bit! Behind the canteen is where some of the staff stay( I worked all the positions). Some of the staff and I had some good times up there. We would go off-roading in the go-cart( One time even drove it into the lake)....also we would jump off the roof of the back of the boats into the water. You had to wear a life jacket because the water ice-cold year-round and it's a super shock to your body. One the tours, if you got lucky you would see some rare birds, bears, moose, and mountain goats/sheep. It's nice up there, but it's kind of pricey when you go into Banff.
Lake Willie Wonka! At first I thought thats what you said. So Beautiful...I think I need to do a road trip to this area...Love the snow. Happy Holidays you two
Y'all should make those tourism videos! Lol. I'm sold on Banff, that's for sure! Even though I'm a born and raised southern cali girl and hate the cold!
So I noticed Alyssa hasn't been going a long on most of the hikes. I'm wondering if that's because she wasn't feeling the greatest, and if she wasn't feeling the greatest I'm wondering if it's because of the announcement they made on their Channel a few days ago.💙💖 Shout out Heath and Alyssa followers
The answers is yes haha :). We found out Alyssa was pregnant shortly before Kara and Nate came into town and Alyssa wasn’t feeling awesome during this time (morning sickness is not fun). She’s been on the mend though lately and we found out it’s gonna be a girl!! :), we’re really excited.
