    really appreciate it! but a little confused as to why core losses in stator are taken in parallel to magnetic flux ? why not in series ??

      usually turns ratio is the terminology used in transformers = N1 (# turns in primary)/ N2 *# turns in secondary) . It is used to find the secondary winding parameters R2', X2'... In Induction motor X2' is assumed to be equal to X1 and R2' = (X2'+Xm/Xm)2 * R.
