RESCUED HORSES Need Some MAJOR MULCHING on this FAILING DITCH!

A couple of rescued horses need some major forestry mulching done on an overgrown ditch! The gum balls that the sweetgum trees drop get stuck in their hoofs and cause problems! Let's see if we can do something about that!

Those sweet gums are a nuisance it seems in the US. Old work horses - I remember Dad working with draught horses on the farm - not tractors on the farm in my early life. Loved those horses but we weren't permitted near them as they could be quite vicious. Great mulching video and explanation as to why mulch.

Actually, live oaks do lose their leaves in winter but are quickly replaced with new ones. It won't happen all at the same time but it happens. The main street coming into my neighborhood has leaves all over the place.

That looks great. Ditches and ponds are my favorite things to cut. I did a job last weekend cutting over a 5’ fence on a side slope, the ponds and ditches are much less stressful.

If that water way was on my property I would be pissed. All those chips going in causing sediment and costs a lot to have drudged out. That part should have been cut and pulled away from the edge. Just saying ,as a pond owner I know how much maintenance costs.
