I own the first gen Himalayan and have been following you both. Nice to be able to say hey! to the both of you at the same place. Will be upgrading to the new Himalayan but thought I'd wait till the second gen is announced . Your thoughts on this are more than welcome. :)
So glad to have you back! I thought something may have seduced you to leave the bikes in favour of the guitar ;-). BTW thanks to your videos I have secured a rental himalayan for 10 days around Ladakh this Summer! I am in your debt.
Hahaha. Thanks mate. Glad to hear from you.. Change of location interrupted every thing. Finally back. Ladhak, would have been a pleasure to ride with you, but shifted down south. Have a good one. Cheers 😉
Hey mate. I just ordered my new Hanle Black 452 today, so will be following your journey again. I am keeping my 411 as she is such a good and faithful bike
Congrats in advance mate, great bike. And I absolutely love the fact that you too have decided to keep the 411. There is just something about it, which I cant put in words. Great decision ;) Cheers
Long time away. Good to see you back. Good bike choice, although i don't think much of that bash plate, there will be a more useful one coming out soon , I'm sure. I shall be keeping my Himmy 411 for a long time to come. I am looking forward to following your adventures on this new one. Best wishes.
Long time mate ;) Feels good to be back And yes, RE has come up with a full aluminum bashplate with crash gaurd, Rally bash plate its called i guess. Already ordered. I hear ya mate, I wont be parting with my 411 too. Thanks and cheers :)
You are absolutely right and trust me thats not the only thing. Windshield is another thing, its too small/short for highway rides. but they have the solution, spend extra and get taller windscreen :D All business my friend, all business :)
Even after 1st service, don't rev it hard, as still running in is not fully completed (It may take 2000-3000 kms), over the time you will feel that engine is getting more free than earlier. Also, after completing 3000-4000 kms, just change only oil filter and top up if required (as removing oil filter removes 50-100 ml oil). Trust me, after doing this, you will feel that you are using fresh oil.
Oh trust me mate, I dont care what RE says, I won't keep any engine oil in any of my bikes ever for 10000 kms. Top up as and when needed but still my belief is 5000kms... change 😉 Yes, aware of the 2000kms keeping between 6000 rpm... And have already decided, 2000kms is my next change interval.. Trust me, I might sound unnecessary, but it pays 🤗 Cheers
Awesome, i learnt what to do... Will change the oil myself at 2000km. I see that my oil level is touching top of the glass when i measure on center stand, as per company procedure. Is it okay? I got it like this only from company, riddent 20 kms only.
Absolutely ok mate, Oil level should just touch the top of glass window When on side stand or when parked on center stand after riding the bike for couple of kms, the oil level should not cover the glass Thus making sure it’s not over filled Cheers
Hi! That color is Kaza brown? Does it come with tubeless rims? I've seen the black, more expensive version with gold rims is tubeless but I like the brown color. Thanks
Hey mate, tubeless rims are not yet available in India, some homologation issues, I have heard maybe from next year it will be. But outside India you can order tubeless for any color option i believe
Hi, doesn't using this oil and not getting serviced by the official SVC void warranty? I service my current bike myself since I had bad experience with previous attempts to get it serviced officially. But it was a tried and tested bike and engine that needed no warranty. Not the case with this brand new engine from RE.
Hey mate, yes it would. I trust RE with engines though, fingers crossed. I stopped going to service centers long time back and service all my bikes myself. An OCD of sorts ;) cant let anyone else touch my bikes. So its risky but as always, hoping for best Cheers
sir can you please share a review of the bike performence after using the motul engine oil (5000 km and initial changes) , I own one too and also thinking about using motul in my bike.
Hey mate.. I have done only about 200 kms since oil change I need a bit longer before I should comment. But first impression after starting was a healthy smooth roar. Will update you after 1000 or so kms Cheers🙂

Great video! I notice 10/40 oil is used in the 450 whereas recommendation for the 411 is 15/50 rating..
Thanks mate.. and yes good observation
450 runs on 10w40. Cheers🙂

What u used to clean the stainers ? Was it petrol or some thing else
No special fluid, just normal fuel mate
cheers :)
The manual says 2.1 litre of engine oil is required. Was 2 litres adequate?
I had to buy 3 Ltrs, only 100 ml has been used from 3rd can, rest will be used for top ups

Are two bottels sufficient? Is there any need to buy another one bottel?
Hey mate, yes, would need three bottles
But rest can be used for topups as and when required
5:30 Petrol is safe for the O-Rings?
Never a good idea mate, but if you have to, just make sure not to keep them in petrol for long and wipe asap
Where is your 411?
Still here mate :)
10:49 You moved to Bangalore I guess
Yes indeed😉
Uhh dont care about your warranty 😅
Fingers crossed mate, I hope I wouldn't need it.
I just don't like anyone else touching my bike 🙃 cheers
