Well this video made me feel better about my looping! LOL. Appreciate the demo though. Big decision this week, do i just upgrade to spark 2, or do i buy this pedal for probably half the price?
@@GearGasms I think early bird pricing is $249. Normal price is $299. They have mentioned Upgrade pricing but I dont know if that would be less than early bird or the same. I saw the pedal on Amazon for $125.
Can the looper “undo” yet? If not please stop the ridiculously enthusiastic hype. If you want to add a functional line out then this pedal is for you. As a looper it’s trash without undo function. Finally after almost 8 minutes he mentions that there’s no UNDO. I don’t think it’s a coincidence that they give the looper to a guy who doesn’t like to use them and probably doesn’t even know how crucial the undo function id]s to people who really use loopers. Seriously F’d up.
@@GearGasms This looper cannot (yet) do a basic function that every other discount looper can do. That is it cannot erase your last loop without erasing the ENTIRE LOOP. This is a CORE function in every looper sold in the last 25 years..except for this one. This is not the looper for anyone who expects basic looping functions. The problem in your SPONSORED video is that apparently you don’t know how we actually use loopers. And why would you based on what you say about your lack of experience with them. The bigger problem is that Positive Grid and Spark does know this and they are selling it anyway. There are going to be a lot of disappointed customers and a lot of product returns when people figure this out. If they had sold this device as a “pedal that gives your SPARK a TRUE LINE OUT PLUS LIMITED LOOPING capabilities I wouldn’t have HAD a problem. Full disclosure, I have two Spark amps and the Spark Pedal and I enjoy my products. But this product over promises and under delivers and shouldn’t have been released hyping this incomplete basic looper.
Man, I'm trying to focus and appreciate you soloing and then you pull a dopey face. Busted me up laughing. I gave up looping the Spark. They took too long. It's a cool little unit and it came in handy when it first came out and I found myself with no gear (since re-united with my rig). It is what it is, and I held on to it. The only change I would make is to mod mine with a battery pack. Another good one. It's good to know your out there sortin' through the mediocrity.
lol yeah I’m not a looper person in any setup so I’ll probably use it to run the Spark through a big amp every now and then! Glad to hear you are reunited with your rig!
So relatable when it comes to the chaos a looper pedal brings. I love that you don't care how you sound and just goof around as that keeps it real and light hearted
Love that Epi P90 Special. That's two of your axes I'm covetous of, the other is your 339. I do have a bolt-on two-knob Special though and it's dang good and gets the job done.
@@GearGasms I hear ya. Just saw one used/'great' on the webs this week for about that much, with a case, and almost went for it because of that. That's like getting the guitar for $250 and I have several others the case probably fits. Just biting the bullet though, acting old and responsible. Gonna need new tires and such this Summer. But hopefully either a TV Yellow P90 LP or an ES-339 is gonna be my Christmas gift to me this year. Will get rid of something else first (a tough choice) to make room and justify buying another guitar I don't actually need. Have a great weekend!
great video. got to ask did you have a high pitched ringing noise when you connected the pedal to the orange. also only the 9 volt will work on my ulooper and the 5volt dont seem to work have you had problems with that. thanks keep up the good work love it.
No pitch noise and no issue with the 5 volt except you have to have the usb connected to the Spark for the Ulooper to power on the 5v for some reason. Thanks for the kind words!
@@GearGasms thanks for getting back to me. i think i got a bit of a dud by the looks of it. ah well these things happen. take care and thank you. again.
@@GearGasms just happened yesterday. Didn't take them very long. Very impressed with Xsonic. The Airstep spk is so much better than the positive grid control. Keep making spark content, I like your channel
Worst ever loop playing I Heard ever....😮
It’s my specialty
just pretend the camera and looper are naked...
Good idea!

Hmmm. Have you heard what the new Spark is going to cost?

It can. And I can’t go into this video and stop the hype as you request. Thanks for your kind perspective

@davidschnittman7954 I told you that it has the undo now from what I understand. You need to slow down take a breath and read

Loopers are your Kryptonite
Indeed!
Great video, 85% of these viewers probably won’t get that “danger, danger, Will Robinson” line.
Yeah you’re probably right! Lol- thanks for the kind words!
New subscriber after the Molly Hatchetts joke. You’re a nutter in a good way. Please don’t change!!

Have you ever seen the nu-x mighty lite amp
Its the best thing since sliced bread especially with the app
No but I’ll check it out!
Happy Friday Alan. I'm still mixing 🤪. Hope all's well.
Don’t get carried away with the mids! 😜
I never been good with a looper either. I guess I need more practice.
We all do! Happy Friday!

@DarrenBrookman make sure to exchange it! Contact Xsonic via their FB page
Can you delete previous track ?
Only if it’s the first one but they may have a new firmware to undo a layer
For us non-guitar people - what the heck is a loop? I know the Chicago Loop? Help educate me Alan?
Oh I see - isn't that cheating?
🤓
No it’s just science! 😜 Nobody wants to hear me twice at the same time though so my experience with loopers is low
I guess when you have no friends to play with you comes in handy
Happy Friday Alan!
You too Alex!
How does it connected to a spark Go?
USB cable
Good job Alan, keep her lit!
Will do and thank you!
They fixed the issue with the sample rates
Good to know!
