This was kind of a game-changing video for me. I hadn't been watching Smosh for several months and then I came across this and was like "Whoa whoa whoa who are all these new people???" because I had never seen Chanse or Patrick either. And all four of them were absolutely killing so hard and clicking with the older cast so perfectly, it was actually bizarre how fresh and energized this felt. It was like Smosh had leveled up, there's no dead space and almost every bit has a solid punchline. One of the best TNTLs, it's too bad Matt didn't stick around for whatever reason.
That made me crack up so much because everyone was struggling to find their vibe at the start. I was actually thinking, "Why are they overwriting what the other person just said?" Using "Yes-And" is hard to remember to do every time, especially with a number of new folks in a group. They turned it around really well and avoided becoming a bunch of Michael Scotts. This is a good example of why doing improv is harder than just being funny on the spot. I imagine there was some gentle nudging in the middle there, which prompted Shane's bit.

Really have to respect Ian. Took multiple buy outs and still sticks around. Haven't watched any of the actual smosh releases. But these back channels are straight fire. The family hes managed to build. I grew up watching the old smosh stuff. Now I have the outmost respect for Ian. Even your best friend left you but you continue to bring quality content. Thank you Ian. And thank you everyone at smosh.

TNTL idea: Randomly generated - get some crew members to set up 3 different hats. One hat is locations, another are conflicts/ plots, and the last hat has characters/personalities. Then for the TNTL Before they go up they draw 1 from each hat and they have to play that character in that setting, relatively following the plot given. I.E: Karen, junkyard, trying to buy a dolphin...
Kimmy is adorable. She seems like that friend who is very shy but extremely sweet and sensitive and trustworthy when it comes to pretty much anything. It’s hard to make me laugh, but I’d probably lose it if she just looked at me with a funny face
