And the only reason Phebie and Phelie didn't leave the box was that they kept cleaning each other for comfort. He didn't think they'd survive, spent months bottle feeding them. He also said it happens A LOT!! Humans can be such scum!!!!!

Yeah, humans can be so cruel. Thankfully, there are super nice animal loving humans out there. One of my kitties I have was found on the freeway, a kitten at the time. She only suffered a minor scratch on her nose, which did heal up completely. She was so scared and nervous around other people in the rescue but when she first met me, it’s like she knew I would take care of her and love her. Her name is Lia and she’s a black cat but the sweetest thing ever. She sleeps on my mom’s pillow above her head EVERY NIGHT and LOVES to be held like a baby. Best thing to have ever happened to my family.

The problem with that is they fill up so fast that if they can't be adopted within a week they get euthanized. I'm HOPING they aren't all like that, but from the areas I grew up and live at now a 1-2 week window is about all these guys have. That's why people push for adoption so much.
One thing those bikers should have done with those cats is either one goes and gets a car or phone friend or family with a car to come pick them up until a shelter opens

Um, have you ever had six cats? For one thing cats like to be alone they are solitary animals. The more you have together they tend to get sick a lot. And that many cats are a handful to take care of. Six kittens will tear your house up lol. And it will smell like cat pee most of the time unless you clean the litter box every day. I would have took them and tried to re home them. I probably would have kept one, I like black cats.
I would take all those kitties and bring them to my animal rescue. I love black kitties, they look like mini Panthers. I’d love them so much and give them so many pets and snuggles.

It's stupid how often it happens, but I grew up on a farm. We had cats. It wasn't hard to get them, ferals all around, and there were always kittens in the paper 'free to a good home'. Never could afford to spay the females, but we needed them around, they took care of the mice and rats, even the bugs, to some extent. Some years there were more kittens than others. One year we had two females, just those two one-year-olds, and each had a litter. One of seven, one of one. All ten cats survived the winter, and were I live that was a miracle in itself. The next year there's ten cats, eight of them females. Eight litters apiece, first spring and then fall. Sixteen in total. There were fifty cats. We're going through a fifty pound bag of food a week. What do you even do then? There's four kids left to feed at this point, on one woman's income, let alone the damn cats. We had my disabled uncle living with us too, he could bring anything in, he could barely walk straight, kindhearted as he was. Oh, and he did love the cats. There was this little kitten, a real sweetie, a favorite of his. Got clipped by the car. Alien, he named her. For her round little face and her big, teary eyes. Paralyzed, broken spine. He carried her around, played with her. Doted on her. Took as good a care of her as anyone could. Loved her to pieces, sweet little thing. My mother's boyfriend brought her out back and shot her in the head. Thought it was better than 'letting her suffer'. It's amazing how fast it got out of hand. My mother, terrible woman. She'd get my sweet, kind uncle who just loved the cats to get her a few of the kittens at a time and she'd drive off with them to throw them out of the car in the middle of nowhere. They were just kittens, babies. Too little to survive on their own. It's funny, she threw her kids out just the same. Before we were old enough to survive on our own. Terrible woman. We saved just one of those cats, those fifty. Her name's Charlotte. I named her Kebab as a kitten, but a friend of mine insisted she needed a real name. I still live with her. Almost ten years old now, that girl. She's real sweet with humans, she loves attention. A little diva. All personality. Hates to deal with other cats. So self-centered. She's sweet though, with us. Her own furry little person, with her own quirks and needs. Any one of those fifty would've been. But I could only save her. My point is, when you grow up out there, in the middle of nowhere, pets serve their purpose. We had cats to do a job, and we usually had a dog to chase of larger, more feisty critters too. We couldn't afford to let those creatures live a happy, full life. They had a job to do and that was all that mattered (to the adults). It was fucked up. We couldn't afford to fix them. But we needed them regardless. And it could get out of hand so fucking fast. Two cats to fifty in just two summers. The longest any of those cats lived was seven years (her name was Tigger, and I loved her. As a child she was my only confidant). That's no way for a cat to live, not when a well-loved cat can live to twenty, or even more with proper care. I always feel caught in between when this discussion comes up. I've seen so many young, hopeful creatures die just because someone let their own animals get out of hand, and yet, I've been there too. I've seen how easy and how fast it can get out of hand. At some point your rationality has to beat out your humanity. It's gross. It's sick. It's how you get by. (I'll remind you here that my mother, dick though she was, was feeding six people on less than 16-20k a year. She couldn't afford to tighten the belt for even the fifty or so to fix a single pet.) Ah, I'm rambling like the drunk I am. Ignore me.

And when people would ask "were the boxes also gone" or something like that. He wouldn't reply. Not saying he is a bad guy. But like seriously ??? That kid on the bike reminded me of myself when I was a small kid. A nice police officer did let me get on he's bike and got taken a picture. I just found the picture last weekend after looking trough some old pictures at my parants.. time flyes already 23 years have passed from that was taken.

I didnt particularily like cats, but found 2 kittens on a job and took them home to feed them. One decided to be wild and the other sleeps at the foot of my bed every night and basically takes care of himself. During nice weather i leave a small second story window open so he can come and go (no litter box needed 3/4 year). He just requires food water and love not near as much as the dogs ive had

I love cats I have a black cat called molly and she was found in a black plastic bag with all of her siblings the were all dead but her so I took here in to my house and named here molly she is well and now as a sister called poppy
The same happened to me. In Mexico I had a dog that I treated like a pet. I named her Luna and everywhere I went she followed. All throughout the city. It broke my heart to leave her but she has many dog friends.
I went on the channel, and he said he went back the next day and all the kitties were gone. Hopefully they got picked up by someone like him and are in happy, good homes.
Yes the humane society have an emergency number to call 24/7,it's on website at least it is in my state,and they don't kill like shelters who do kill. God Bless America

The problem with that is they fill up so fast that if they can't be adopted within a week they get euthanized. I'm HOPING they aren't all like that, but from the areas I grew up and live at now a 1-2 week window is about all these guys have. That's why people push for adoption so much.

They are just as bad as the people that dumped them for driving off as they have a high risk of been hit by cars especially at nite. Um, have you ever had six cats? For one thing cats like to be alone they are solitary animals. The more you have together they tend to get sick a lot. And that many cats are a handful to take care of. Six kittens will tear your house up lol. And it will smell like cat pee most of the time unless you clean the litter box every day. I would have took them and tried to re home them. I probably would have kept one, I like black cats.
I would take all those kitties and bring them to my animal rescue. I love black kitties, they look like mini Panthers. I’d love them so much and give them so many pets and snuggles.

I can't believe someone left 6 kittens in boxes in the bush. That is crazy. I would have gone home, grabbed my truck and taken them home to save them then given them to some humane society / rspca to look after.

Jessop If they can't afford pets they shouldn't have them. I know pets are expensive. I live with 2 cats myself. Even if I ended up totally broke (been there) I wouldn't dump the cats in the bush. They would end up being adopted by someone else who could take care of them.

It's stupid how often it happens, but I grew up on a farm. We had cats. It wasn't hard to get them, ferals all around, and there were always kittens in the paper 'free to a good home'. Never could afford to spay the females, but we needed them around, they took care of the mice and rats, even the bugs, to some extent. Some years there were more kittens than others.
One year we had two females, just those two one-year-olds, and each had a litter. One of seven, one of one. All ten cats survived the winter, and were I live that was a miracle in itself. The next year there's ten cats, eight of them females. Eight litters apiece, first spring and then fall. Sixteen in total. There were fifty cats. We're going through a fifty pound bag of food a week.
What do you even do then? There's four kids left to feed at this point, on one woman's income, let alone the damn cats. We had my disabled uncle living with us too, he could bring anything in, he could barely walk straight, kindhearted as he was. Oh, and he did love the cats. There was this little kitten, a real sweetie, a favorite of his. Got clipped by the car. Alien, he named her. For her round little face and her big, teary eyes. Paralyzed, broken spine. He carried her around, played with her. Doted on her. Took as good a care of her as anyone could. Loved her to pieces, sweet little thing. My mother's boyfriend brought her out back and shot her in the head. Thought it was better than 'letting her suffer'.
It's amazing how fast it got out of hand. My mother, terrible woman. She'd get my sweet, kind uncle who just loved the cats to get her a few of the kittens at a time and she'd drive off with them to throw them out of the car in the middle of nowhere. They were just kittens, babies. Too little to survive on their own.
It's funny, she threw her kids out just the same. Before we were old enough to survive on our own. Terrible woman. We saved just one of those cats, those fifty. Her name's Charlotte. I named her Kebab as a kitten, but a friend of mine insisted she needed a real name. I still live with her. Almost ten years old now, that girl. She's real sweet with humans, she loves attention. A little diva. All personality. Hates to deal with other cats. So self-centered. She's sweet though, with us. Her own furry little person, with her own quirks and needs. Any one of those fifty would've been. But I could only save her.
My point is, when you grow up out there, in the middle of nowhere, pets serve their purpose. We had cats to do a job, and we usually had a dog to chase of larger, more feisty critters too. We couldn't afford to let those creatures live a happy, full life. They had a job to do and that was all that mattered (to the adults). It was fucked up. We couldn't afford to fix them. But we needed them regardless. And it could get out of hand so fucking fast. Two cats to fifty in just two summers.
The longest any of those cats lived was seven years (her name was Tigger, and I loved her. As a child she was my only confidant). That's no way for a cat to live, not when a well-loved cat can live to twenty, or even more with proper care.
I always feel caught in between when this discussion comes up. I've seen so many young, hopeful creatures die just because someone let their own animals get out of hand, and yet, I've been there too. I've seen how easy and how fast it can get out of hand. At some point your rationality has to beat out your humanity. It's gross. It's sick. It's how you get by. (I'll remind you here that my mother, dick though she was, was feeding six people on less than 16-20k a year. She couldn't afford to tighten the belt for even the fifty or so to fix a single pet.)

roadmonitoroz Brisbane The thing is though, spading your pet isn't compulsory, so you don't have to do it. People can still have pets if they can't get them spaded, they just have to be careful and know what to do if they do fall pregnant.

I went to the first guys vid and on the comments he said the next day he went there and they were gone. he had no explanation. And when people would ask "were the boxes also gone" or something like that. He wouldn't reply. Not saying he is a bad guy. But like seriously ??? Someone else hopefully found them and either called for help or took them themselves to the vets or animal shelter.
Same with the dog that they left behind and didn't call for someone to help them i dont see how thats them being nice when they leave the poor animals alone when its not that hard to pick up the phone and call someome that could of helped.

I didnt particularily like cats, but found 2 kittens on a job and took them home to feed them. One decided to be wild and the other sleeps at the foot of my bed every night and basically takes care of himself. During nice weather i leave a small second story window open so he can come and go (no litter box needed 3/4 year). He just requires food water and love not near as much as the dogs ive had

The same happened to me. In Mexico I had a dog that I treated like a pet. I named her Luna and everywhere I went she followed. All throughout the city. It broke my heart to leave her but she has many dog friends.

My two cats were found in a box before they were taken to the shelter. They were little kittens. How someone can do such a thing is beyond me.
