I see the vision with Hwei and Jhin too... I think they have (or appear to have at least) one of the most interesting and complex relationships. Like Hwei is obviously so traumatized by what happened yet he's still so fascinated by Jhin and almost wants his validation in a way. The "rivalry" is just him trying to prove something. It's like that Hannibal/Will or Villaneve/Eve kind of dynamic.
SkinSpotlights channel creator is completely independent and *not* affiliated with Riot in any official way.. and ye, it's kinda crazy to think about considering that this channel is basically how everybody will see every new visual and voiceover for any new skin or champion.

Recently I think Riot puts less focus on their champion's stories & background, they are really busy with their games & making sure the League Lore Universe is now one, where everything is ''canon''. Gameplay wise he's really fun, had the chance to play him twice yesterday in a best of 3. Even tho his win rate is low right now, cause he's hard to master with 10 spells compared to the usual 4. When Hwei got announced and I saw his trailer I fangirled... so hard. Jhin is my main squeeze on League and its just so perfect eeeee
