- Hi all.
In this video I'll be showing you how to crochet this beautiful 'tree of life' wall hanging decoration. (Using US term).
Using DK acrylic yarn (may not work with cotton yarn as it's not as stretchy).
Metal ring purchased on Ebay.

prachtig 😇
My favorite colors to work with are purple and teal. My husband loves royal blue and I love royal purple, so I make a lot of stuff in our colors because they go so well together. 💜💙🧶
I love teal as well!
❤
Beautiful! Wud love to make for my daughter & Pesonal Support Worker (PSW) as gifts - do u need to stiffen this afterwards or is it stiff enough on its own. Tk u for sharing.🤩❤❤
Thank you.
There's no need to stiffen it when it's on a ring.
@@mum2makes869 ok - tk u - just wanted to check.
I love this pattern and just completed it. Can I ask how would I increase the rows to make bigger.
Thank you! Happy you like it.
I haven't made a bigger one so can't tell you, but I would try a bigger hook maybe (?) have a go, see how it works out.
How much bigger would you recommend the ring to be from the tree? I used slightly thicker yarn so my tree measures 10” all round. I was thinking of getting an 11” ring but worried it might be too small.
Erm, I'm not sure really. I would say about 2cm gap between the crochet piece to the ring before you attach it. You can buy a 12" ring. I haven't tried it with a thicker yarn so I can't tell you for sure. 1" space might be ok though, give it a go 😊
@@mum2makes869 Thank you!
Hi, this is a really beautiful pattern! Thanks for sharing. But my circle is 4inch… May I tray with a 2mm crochet hook? It’s difficult to find tutorials that match for me
Thank you! You could try with thinner thread/yarn (and a slightly smaller hook than recommended for that particular yarn)I haven't tried it on a 4" ring so can't say, but the 2mm hook will not make it small enough for the 4" ring. You can always try though. 😊
@@mum2makes869 I understand, I have another circle 8 inch.....maybe I'll buy a 6inch
@@mum2makes869I made mine in the 8” circle with a 3.5mm hook, just did an other round of 6 stitches at tree trunk level and did 30 single crochet (insteed of 15 or 20)to join between de bottom and ans top of the tree! I can’t say wich yarn I use…acrylic I think… thank you for this beautiful tree!! Hello from Switzerland
Oh I'm glad you managed to work it out. I bet it looks beautiful! Thank you 😊
Are you working only in back loops when not working in chain spaces?
No back loops in this project, unless said so 😊
I'm confused - early in the patterm (think 3rd row) you have 4 hdc with 2 hdc on each end (4×6 = 24 + 4 = 28)🤔? What do I do?
You have 4 hdc between the puff st and 2 hdc on each end. It's 4x5=20+4=24
Just make one, yarn was a little bit thick but looks okay
Do you have a written pattern for this beautiful piece?
Thank you. No, I do not, sorry
Thanks for sharing this great idea.❤
You're welcome! Thank you for the comment.
Is there a written pattern somewhere?
Sorry, not yet.
