Scone as in 'stone' - and always jam first cos it's better to spread, then a big dollop of cream on top (if you spread the cream it's not as thick, plus the jam tastes stronger so you don't need as much)
Good evening Gentlemen. 3 of the most lovely people having a Beautiful and Tasty English Afternoon Tea. Some absolutely Fine Fare with Gorgeous English Tea in Teapot. Looked like you were having Fun. Glad you enjoyed yourselves. 😁😁😁😁😎😎👍👍👍👍
What an enjoyable vlog 👍 , nice to see some of your pals Lee, the afternoon tea looks something else 🤣 must be great if they are fully booked for a year, thanks for sharing as always ♥️👍😄
Hey Lee! It’s so funny you posting this . The vlog DJ did 7 months ago having afternoon tea at Harriet’s is there to watch if viewing similar posts. It doesn’t matter to me if it’s cream first and jam or vice versa as it goes in the same way. What matters is if they are warm scones. I love going to either Cornwall or Devon for that reason. They do fantastic fresh warm scones - I say it like S- gone. There’s another option. You say it like the Scot’s. Spelt like Scone - or should I say sounds like Scoon but know it aa a place rather than the bread delight. As for pancakes - gotta be lemon and sugar for me. Take care 😘👍🏻
Nailed the pronunciation. They are scones (like cones), until there are none left then they are all scon. Really good to see the world's best clotted cream being used i.e. Rodda's from Cornwall! The only reason for cream first is if you are ashamed of your cream - no chance with Rodda's.
I always find that most establishments put too much sweet stuff on cream teas , I would prefer more sandwiches( personal preference ) as for jam or cream first , I find it easier and less messy to spread the jam on first then dollop the cream on top , however at home I have butter first lol , as for scone versus Scon , for me it’s scon as when you’ve eaten it ‘it’scon’ 😂😂
Afternoon tea, how quaint, I say scone with an on lol, but wait where’s the butter 😱 butter, then jam, then cream 😊 tea looked great how could it not be a ten 😊
Lee, Great review, l was here a few weeks ago, Top Quality British Food. The Only Spanish food that i tried was Chicken Paella really not into seafood one. How about doing Harrod's Tea Rooms, with their new menu.
Hi Lee looked delicious, so is it bath or barth or is it glasses or glarsses, i reckon its a north south divide, well hungry now after watching this, cheers.
Ah, the old scone vs sconn pronunciation! While it’s true you say traffic cone and not traffic conn, the counter to that is the word “gone”. Can’t use one word to infer another, but, I’ve flipped between them both in my years but have settled on scone as in cone for everyday life, and sconn when it causes debate! Jam first too, forms a nice adhesive layer for the cream to layer on top and gives a nice sweet treat in the middle of the bite.
Loving your vlogs, great that you were back in Tenerife but i/we can see a pattern happening, you're just going back to places we've seen you at before, places where you're paly, friendly with the owners, hopefully next time you start giving other businesses a chance?
I pronounce scone as SKON. Also, the dairy, in this case cream, goes on first, just like you wouldn't dream of putting your jam on before your butter......would you?!
I have to say for what you pay that wasn't brilliant. I work in a bakery and that bread is clearly nasty supermarket rubbish and tiny little cakes with just a bit of cream on my granddaughter could have made, scones with barely a raisin in sight, I thought was very basic for the price that your paying it's very expensive. But great vlog Lee 👍🏻
Theres no such thing as having one too many... If your feeling rough -" YOU HAVEN'T HAD ENOUGH" Lmao !!! 😂😂👍👍... Those High teas down in England look proper deelicious... Never mind having high tea here in Scotland the chef would be so high you would have to spend all day trying to find him!.
Hey Lee that's so funny could not stop laughing my stomach was hurting with laughter. Johnny was so funny trying to put that pancake in mouth. My score is 10 out of 10 for them sandwichs xxx
I say scone like the cones in the road otherwise it would be scons. Even more controversial I don’t have cream. Butter first then strawberry jam. I thought they’d be more sandwiches for 3 people but you all enjoyed which is the main thing. As for Jonny V did those pancakes have time to touch the sides?
He said 'private school' as if that made them superior when, as an Englishman, he should know that their top schools like Eton, Harrow and Winchester are called Public Schools and are independent secondary schools and are not run by the government.
Have to agree that was dear for what you got even if all made fresh, suppose as it’s imported that’ll drive prices up too but no way did they import that cheapo bread! As for jam or cream first it doesn’t matter one iota…all goes in same way and exits same way😅💩💩
Never seen so many John Torode nods and food satisfaction faces before (although Darren John is pretty good at them as well). What me and Julie want to know is (controversial) did you all (including DJ) get them from John Torode (Masterchef) or did he get them from you!
I have seen more varied and nicer Afternoon Tea cakes and sandwiches than what you were served, especially from very expensive restaurants in hotels, notably the former and renowned hotel, The Plaza, in New York City.
Watching this at the end seeing u mess up some clip is funny I mess up my self alot u should do a video of the macmaster blobbers only any it will get loads of view I bet u keep them saved up lee.
Sorry but when I’m in Spain the last thing I want is Fish & Chips and English pubs,Tapas and Paella for me every time
lovely spot of tea indeed, enjoy the rest of your holiday!
Lovely place..music was so fitting too xx
Seriously great to know I'm generally not a tea person but I do like all tasty treats that come with it.
Scone as in 'stone' - and always jam first cos it's better to spread, then a big dollop of cream on top (if you spread the cream it's not as thick, plus the jam tastes stronger so you don't need as much)
Love the friendly banter between all of you great group of youtubers.
I want tapas and paella last thing I want is English food abroad.
Next visit Carol. All Spanish Food ❤️
I couldn’t agree more, Going to tenerife and eating english food is the last thing I want to do.
Good evening Gentlemen. 3 of the most lovely people having a Beautiful and Tasty English Afternoon Tea. Some absolutely Fine Fare with Gorgeous English Tea in Teapot. Looked like you were having Fun. Glad you enjoyed yourselves. 😁😁😁😁😎😎👍👍👍👍
Proper English Tea. ON WITH IT
Looks lovely. Looks like you all enjoyed it! 🥰🌞🥰Xxx
I've eaten here a couple of times. The food has been fantastic and the couple who own it are very friendly.
Nice to see Johnny and col on the video
Looks lovely 😊 had a breakfast there was very nice indeed.
Looks lovely
I can't remember the last time I had Afternoon Tea, looked amazing as always.
What an enjoyable vlog 👍 , nice to see some of your pals Lee, the afternoon tea looks something else 🤣 must be great if they are fully booked for a year, thanks for sharing as always ♥️👍😄

Looks fab!! Greetings from Wales.
Thanks for letting me on this video , I really enjoyed it. I'm in Tenerife October 12-19 r u coming over I buy u a few drinks

Looks really nice, one for the next visit. Enjoy the US, look forward to more vids state side
Lovely vlog Lee cheers not your average food review cheers all shows you having fun in the sun
Great vlog Lee but love the out takes too at the end.
Great stuff 👍
I find it easier to put the cream on top of jam then the other way
It's Scone as in gone and Cream first as it is the butter substitute. Looks very nice.
Never mind jam or cream…at least you say Scone properly! And the traffic cone explanation is my go to argument!
Sorry to say but the afternoon tea that Darren John had at Harriet's looked 100 time's better.
Looking as pink as that cupcake there Lee 😄
very powsh 👍😋..10

Yes you did jam then cream... the correct way lol
I'd have to have butter on my scone as well.
Just my taste. Got to admit though, I am also a sucker for cream!
Col needs some after sun on , same color as the jam😂😂
Season pass at Lillys dear me
Please do a tapas video , bet it’s terrific.
Lee, Great review, l was here a few weeks ago, Top Quality British Food. The Only Spanish food that i tried was Chicken Paella really not into seafood one. How about doing Harrod's Tea Rooms, with their new menu.
What do you call a fast cake? S'gone or skon. I think you'll find that's correct.
We had afternoon tea there a couple of years ago.
That man loves his food and why not. Butter first then jam on the scone.
Looks yummy 😋what ever way you prefer to put your cream ànd jam on 🤣🤣 👌 😊xx
Scones - Butter- Jam - Cream 😉
i think thats very good vallue for what you get did you have yorkshire tea
Look good value guys, Lee you got it right for us, jam first & lashing of cream on top, 8.5 from us👌
Very funny 🤣
Hi Lee looked delicious, so is it bath or barth or is it glasses or glarsses, i reckon its a north south divide, well hungry now after watching this, cheers.
Looked nice, taste nice,😋😋 it's jam then cream🍪 was it Yorkshire tea or PG ?🫖
Sorry Mac it’s scone like it’s gone. Looks fab.
We have been there. And it was a 10
You eat English Breakfast and Afternoon Tea in England, and then do the same in Tenerife. Be daring and do do some videos on Spanish food!
They are coming next visit. I'm in Nashville filming now. 👍🏼
Jam first
Ah, the old scone vs sconn pronunciation! While it’s true you say traffic cone and not traffic conn, the counter to that is the word “gone”. Jam first too, forms a nice adhesive layer for the cream to layer on top and gives a nice sweet treat in the middle of the bite.
What no cucumber sandwiches not a proper afternoon tea then is it😔 it did look nice but I would be disappointed 6/10 from me Lee thanks for sharing 😁
Jam first. Wars have been started for less
The cup cakes look fabulous, were they?
I'd be fuming if I went to an afternoon tea and the sandwich filling was cheese and branston 😂😂😂😂 it's not a kids packed lunch lol
One of my favourites.
Cannot have cheese without pickle! 😮
What do you have your cheese sandwiches with?
@@angelagregory3475 don't get me wrong I adore cheese and pickle sandwiches but if I'm paying for afternoon tea I wanna be treated lol
Loving your vlogs, great that you were back in Tenerife but i/we can see a pattern happening, you're just going back to places we've seen you at before, places where you're paly, friendly with the owners, hopefully next time you start giving other businesses a chance?
Watxh tomorrow's vlog. 👍🏼 new place.
Didn’t he do an afternoon tea 🫖 in Nottingham or Mansfield only about a month ago ?!?
I pronounce scone as SKON. Also, the dairy, in this case cream, goes on first, just like you wouldn't dream of putting your jam on before your butter......would you?!
I have to say for what you pay that wasn't brilliant. But great vlog Lee 👍🏻
Sure there was a poll the other day about doing more than just English 'food stuffs' over in tenerife? Show us the variety!
Yes there was Stuart. That poll was for when I get back next month. I left Tenerife over a week ago. I'm now filming in Nashville. 👍🏼
Its larger weather here in tenerife
Theres no such thing as having one too many... If your feeling rough -" YOU HAVEN'T HAD ENOUGH" Lmao !!! 😂😂👍👍... Those High teas down in England look proper deelicious... Never mind having high tea here in Scotland the chef would be so high you would have to spend all day trying to find him!.
Brilliant as usual
Looked good but the sandwiches had hardly any filling in them 😝
Hey Lee that's so funny could not stop laughing my stomach was hurting with laughter. Johnny was so funny trying to put that pancake in mouth. My score is 10 out of 10 for them sandwichs xxx
Another great Vlog xx
I say scone like the cones in the road otherwise it would be scons. Even more controversial I don’t have cream. Butter first then strawberry jam. Jam first, then the cream, on your scone (pronounced sconn).
With Yorkshire tea.
As for the afternoon tea looks average which i hate to say as the owners seem lovely
cream first then jam
It's a scone like on. Jam first.
Looks very nice. Jam before cream, otherwise it gets very messy x
I also went to private school but it’s always been scone…. Sk-on. I thought it was because I’m Scottish.
He said 'private school' as if that made them superior when, as an Englishman, he should know that their top schools like Eton, Harrow and Winchester are called Public Schools and are independent secondary schools and are not run by the government.
How much ??????????????????????????????????????????????
Why do people expect something for nothing these days. It's 2022 not 1992 and everything has gone up recently too.
@@iainferguson4737 Who said something for nothing ? The amount on the stand was disgracefull ! It was a rip off.
Tenerife is back
Have to agree that was dear for what you got even if all made fresh, suppose as it’s imported that’ll drive prices up too but no way did they import that cheapo bread!
As for jam or cream first it doesn’t matter one iota…all goes in same way and exits same way😅💩💩
No way is this one sponsored is it lol. I thought the scones (skon) looked dry. Average 6/10.
Some nice Cornish cream, nice 😎.
It doesn't look like a whole lot of food for 15 euros and what have pancakes got to do with English tea.
Cream is unchurned butter... so what goes on the bread first, butter or your ham ... ? Problem solved.
😊👍
Youd love 'What the Piita?' and Bundobust if you haven't been already.
Lee the Afternoon Tea all looked delicious, jonny with the pancakes so funny col was a good laugh too ♥️😋😋😋😎
Never seen so many John Torode nods and food satisfaction faces before (although Darren John is pretty good at them as well). What me and Julie want to know is (controversial) did you all (including DJ) get them from John Torode (Masterchef) or did he get them from you!
Lol. 😂
I love cake, they looked goooood, loved this vlog, Lee........ Its a solid 10 from France. A bientot.... 😊🇫🇷🇫🇷🇫🇷
You’re looking a bit sunburned Lee …. And it’s Jam first …, and it’s scone as in stone ….. not scon ….
It’s a scon for me not scone being a Wigan girl. Col’s face was a picture watching Johnny vlogger eat 🤣😂🤣😂
Wonder if you can find an afternoon tea in Nashville!! 🤣
Lol. 😂 no. BBQ. 😃
Wheres the Victoria sponge and fruit cake 🤔
Agree with you about too many sweet stuff.
That's why I don't go for afternoon teas.
Need more savoury, less sweet.
jam first..............simples :)
More like a burrito!
I have seen more varied and nicer Afternoon Tea cakes and sandwiches than what you were served, especially from very expensive restaurants in hotels, notably the former and renowned hotel, The Plaza, in New York City.
All that Spanish food must be doing your head in,it’ll be good to be home and have some English food and hear some English voices
Lol. 😂 I'll be filming Spanish food when I return. These vlogs were filmed over a week ago. 👍🏼 I'm in Nashville now filming. 👍🏼👍🏼
Watching this at the end seeing u mess up some clip is funny I mess up my self alot u should do a video of the macmaster blobbers only any it will get loads of view I bet u keep them saved up lee.
Are you staying for the season Lee?🤔🤣
Jonny. Doing a strange version of the old Cadbury's flake ads.
Breakfast king now turned to sweet food
John looked hungry
We love Tapas my favourite is melted cheese and squid ( on second thought I will stick with the Afternoon tea)
