I strongly feel that if Asoka, swadesh and dil se were released in this generation , they would be very well deserved blockbusters! Unfortunately the audiences that time dint even understand the storylines. SRK would have had 3 more blockbusters added to his career!
Well said, I loved Asoka and Dil Se, they are among SRK’s best movies. I loved them since they were released… I’m an old SRK fan 😉 I also loved Pehli which didn’t perform well in India. However, till this day, I never liked Swades 😅
Similarly, if Dil toh Pagal Hai, Kuchh Kuchh Hota Hai were released in present time, these would have been very very average grossing films.. So, 2 block-busters would have been subtracted from SRK's carrier..
I just wonder, why did this movie didnt get a box office success because it was a wonderful movie. My late grandmother would watch it repeatedly and religiously, as we are buddhist and ashoka was a Buddhist king. I am a humongous fan of srk.. Love from Bhutan.
This movie had faced a lot of criticism.. especially the costume designer...The public didn't expect women wearing 2 pieces of clothes and roaming and dancing thousand years ago...
