First Bike Park Laps On My New Trail Bike!

- Kicking off Bike Park another bike park season with a trip to Highland but this time I'm on a the New GT Sensor Trail bike. Since it was opening Day the trails were muddy and the was rather small; only double black diamond or blue trails were open. This made for a some spicy conditions to help test out my new bike.

These are the kinds of videos I like seeing from Phil: cool riding and connecting with cool people on the trails.
I appreciate when bike parks aren't too busy. It's more relaxed and you can get to connect with people better, it's a lot of fun.
The first dude (Luke?) was seriously rippin. I felt some hesitation from you when he first asked to ride with you(rightfully so on first lap) and then he just shows out. Impressive riding on the short travel rig. Making it look easy as usual! Nice vid!

I rode Highland on Wednesday (the mountain let season pass holders ride the day before the Thursday opening day), and they only had four+ trails open! All of the rain we've been having (and forecast for the whole week) absolutely blasts away all of the hard work that Highland's tail crew put in getting the mountain open!

Wish I could ride my new bike. All the bike parks are covered in snow, Downieville still has snow all over, and Soquel is closed because the rain collapsed the roads to get there. Can’t wait for summer!

The questions the kids had were really good content tbh LOL
love the vids and I understand your concern for the axs derailleur having to replace it would be expensive. It definitely would not be even close to a grand for just the derailleur. But I can tell you they take massive beatings compared to normal cable ones. My buddy has had his for 3 years now and uses it on his Ebike and DH bike cause its the most bombproof derailleur. Its been smacked many times and still runs smooth. I have replaced about 5 gx derailleurs on my own bikes during that time so once my current ones break I am investing in the AXS no doubt. Enjoy the ripping!
