The K-indie style suits the artist Yesung so well, I listened to his Japanese album and fell in love with his voice. And now this production is so soft, so aesthetic, so enigmatic, I didn't think I was going to like this genre but his vocals sound super good. Listen to the rest of the album, "I am" is one of my favs.

Yesung im bodies the meaning of his name ARTISTIC VOICE. For me the best quality of voice I ever heard. He’s just perfect. Low note or high note he does it seamlessly.
My bias didn't disappoint. I agree with KL, his 4(!) albums this year were all chapters of the same story. A huge part of that is that he used the same band, Wave to Earth and they had writing credits on the singles as well (though not sure if they featured on the Japanese one). So blessed to have so much from him this year and I can't wait to see what he does next. BTW his youtube channel, Yessay, is one of the best I've seen. If you want to feel like you're hanging out with Yesung at all the cool art galleries and exhibits, and not in a celebrity vlog way but as if you were actually having a conversation with him about the art, you should check it out for your own enjoyment, not a reaction request. His narration voice is just as amazing to listen to as his singing voice. And he is just one of those people who would be equally interesting and cool even if he was a bartender or record store owner who jammed with his buddies on the weekends and not a member of a legendary kpop group. I kinda want to be him in my next life. 😎
I should check out his album, sounds like a good time! it is not very likely anything from SUJU will disappoint. I should! I like how they all ahve youtube channels, it makes it easier to get to know them
@@Killdeer25 It's also fun how different their channels are based on their personalities and interests. I never paid any attention to musicians outside of their music until kpop. I mean partly because before kpop I listened to musicians not from the internet era so they weren't online or on social media all the time. But it's the main reason I love kpop now because everyone is so lovely and funny and interesting and generous with their time.
Yesung has happy songs as well, but with his voice and his ability to express emotion so clearly, there's no doubt that his emotional songs deliver the biggest punch. He's been on a journey of the senses all year. All of the albums, including his Japanese album, (1 full album, 1 repackage, 1 Japanese mini album and the latest Korean mini album) have followed the same theme and had the same dream-like quality to the music. This latest release is the last in the series, so the next time he releases a new album it will probably have a different kind of sound. If you want to hear something bright from Yesung, Beautiful Night off of his 4th mini album is wonderful choice. It's a great example of how a voice made for misery can also express joy 😊
He can express his voice and sensibility that fit the lyrics as he wants. In this "Scented Things", you can feel that it is the last of the "Sence" series.

He’s been in the music industry since 2005 with Super Jr (a notable song Sorry, Sorry, Sorry amongst others), and Super Jr K.R.Y (When We Were Us), please take a listen, you’ll be more amazed by his vocals, his vocal range is G2 - G5. Yesung went solo in 2016 & has given us 5 mini albums of beauty. At 39 years old he has found what he loves & oh my goodness it is beautiful. Yesung has a peaceful, ethereal calm about him, he is someone who needs to be listened to more. Thank you for sharing & enjoying ❤️

Yesung's voice has healing magic, better with the headset enjoy his songs,lie down and close eyes will feel like floating with the melody 💙 , its great that after almost 20 years in industry, he finally can make the music follow by his taste, its real Yesung. and its even charming than before

Yes the song to have the same feeling because they are all with the same band (Wave to earth) they are the musicians in the videos, and their singer/lead guitar wrote the songs (if I'm not mistaken). Yesung's voice is really special, but whats even better is the feeling he puts in it, just incredible! and the fact that he can go from this to Beautiful Night, or Splash....or something like Pijama Party is just amazing! And you are right he's not flashy (until he starts doing the octopus dance 🤣) Suju really is something else! 💙💙

@@Killdeer25 I think The octopus dance started with their "educational" Tv show "Explores of the human body" I say "educational" because they do try to educate but it's mostly Suju being Suju, making themselves cry, drinking beer while on a RX machine, pulling each others pants, kissing each other under water... If you ever have free time and the opportunity to watch it, it's a lot of fun! But there are plenty of videos of him dancing like that!! He did it on the KRY episode of weekly idol where Eunhyuk challenged KRY to dance Danger by D&E

Leeteuk is the manager so Suju members try to help train the happy elephant, Eunhyuk with dance, Yesung with singing and Shindong with variety shows. It's really cute and fun.
