Really awesome riffing and guitar sound. now I can hear how Cathedral were influenced by them. It's Sabbath's darkest vibe and guitar sound, like on Lord of this World, melted with NWOBHM complex song structure. Nothing like thrash, punk, or spandex metal either. A class of their own!
I'm from Chicago and have seen these guys numberous times here at small clubs over the years. They are the best doom metal band ever, next to Celtic Frost. Christians or not. And yes, they have been jammin since the late 70's together.
I'm missing my 80's again. Awesome band and song.. Also love the clothes they are wearing. This was before we judged everyone by what they wear. Rock on Trouble!!!!
Ron Holzner played in the "Christian" metal band Place of Skulls and Bruce Franklin played in a Christian band called Generation. Whether you're into religion or not, they were a very underrated band. Good vocals, rhythm, better than todays crap metal.
What a f*^#ing guitar solo. I've had this record since the day it came out, and I never experienced the solo quite like seeing that. Saw these guys in Toronto five-ish years ago att Lee's Palace, and sadly the place was nowhere near full. It was like having a private show with a couple hundred people. The band was AMAZING, and should be recognized as true the pioneers of doom metal.
According to the DVD I have that came with Psalm 9, it's from 1982. They were on public access TV in Chicago. That sort of shit happens sometimes with unsigned bands. It's why we have old footage of Slough Feg.
This is one of my favorite Trouble songs. I like pulling up to a red light, rolling down my windows, and rewind that sucker to the beginning... I get lots of friends that way, haha!!!
@@domingossavio9418 Dude, the doom scene is not yet fully defined before. Trouble is mixed up in thrash scene to represent their band however they can, even Saint Vitus started in the punk scene as you may know.
i can't think what to write, trouble are just the best; so spiritual and the greatest riff writers. there you go i wrote something..god bless eric wagner.
Simply SICK Ass Groove and Doom.... These Guys are Way cool and as seen here Been around for a Spell.. This is like '91-'92 I think, Saw these Windy City Rockers Back in the early '90's and They Sound Just As Great Live as they do in the Studio. Bruce Is the Man... Check out that Beard .. ! Long Live TROUBLE RIP Stryper and ALL others ...
1st album was Psalm 9, then The Skull and then Run to the Light. All before 1987. Then they started to change with MTV and all and began to lean toward a rock sound.
These guys fucking rock! This is the first time I heard of these guys. I'm gonna try and find their stuff. Reminds of me a little of early black sabbath.
One of my all time fave bands and can't wait to see them in 5 weeks on 70K tons of metal cruise even w/out Eric but seriously, these vids... WTF? They're just performing to the recorded track. Cool to see them in this setting but I wish they'd performed and recorded it
One of the most under rated metal bands of all time.
14 years later and still just as true sadly. Just as good as Sabbath and pentagram
exactly. massively unknown , yet known too the chosen ones. bad bad sht fk management
But profoundly influential
Yeah, the best ones are
Heaviest public access moment of all time. Could you imagine catching this on cable late one night in the early 80's?
R.I.P. Eric. One of the best there ever was
ONE OF THE MOST IMPORTANT BANDS EVER!!!!
R.I.P Eric you’ll be missed
Just did the research…I’d like to know if Eric was murdered by the COVID-19 protocols in the hospital?
@@hybridmonopoly3942 I seen the skull in Louisville ky a week before he died he looked healthy and sang his ass off then poof I see he’s passed away
@@hybridmonopoly3942he rejected to be vacinated.
Psalm 9 is one of my favorite metal albums ever. It's great, great stuff.
Rest in power Eric Wagner...taken from this earth way too soon...Thank you for the many great years of your musical genius...
One of the best bands that have walked the planet.
this is true rock/metal, and I love it
This is Doom Metal chief
This doom metal
Really awesome riffing and guitar sound. now I can hear how Cathedral were influenced by them. It's Sabbath's darkest vibe and guitar sound, like on Lord of this World, melted with NWOBHM complex song structure. Nothing like thrash, punk, or spandex metal either. A class of their own!
They had thrashy riffage here and there .
Some fast drumming too .
They were doom , but much more than that too
Definitely
How about the breaks though.....
Trouble has always been more about the riffs than anything else. What an awesome band!
Glad to see someone with three sixes in their screen name listening to white metal. Check out the lyrics. theyre good for you! Bruce Franklin rocks!
the big 4 of Doom Metal: Candlemass, Trouble, Pentagram, Saint Vitus.
His Godfather creator of light and darkness: BLACK SABBATH.
I'm from Chicago and have seen these guys numberous times here at small clubs over the years. They are the best doom metal band ever, next to Celtic Frost. Christians or not. And yes, they have been jammin since the late 70's together.
damn. that guitar riff...awesome
I know right? What about that sound??? Impresses me still till this day.
I'm missing my 80's again. Awesome band and song.. Also love the clothes they are wearing. This was before we judged everyone by what they wear. Rock on Trouble!!!!
A dobradinha Rick Wartell e Bruce Franklin, a melhor dupla do Doom Metal. Melodias sombrias e angustiantes!!!!!!
80's metal or nothing. This guy has a good voice for this. one of a kind voice. I seen these guys in Seattle like 20 some years ago.
Ron Holzner played in the "Christian" metal band Place of Skulls and Bruce Franklin played in a Christian band called Generation. Whether you're into religion or not, they were a very underrated band. Good vocals, rhythm, better than todays crap metal.
Jesus was only the form of a man. A willing sacrifice born of immaculate conception
can't believe I never heard of these guys, play like the slow parts of Black Sabbath but not ultra slow like modern doom metal
Heavy riffs. Great band featuring Jesus on the Flying V. All kidding aside, this has been a favourite of mine since the 80's.
One of ultimate fav bands, been following since the beginning
The ONLY person in history to pull off CURLY BANGS!
According to the DVD I have that came with Psalm 9, it's from 1982.
They were on public access TV in Chicago. That sort of shit happens sometimes with unsigned bands. It's why we have old footage of Slough Feg.
RIP Eric Wagner.
I want to go back to the 80's
God loves us all
I remember they always used to play Trouble on Rebel Radio 103.1 WVVX in Chicago. Killer stuff!
This is one of my favorite Trouble songs. I like pulling up to a red light, rolling down my windows, and rewind that sucker to the beginning... I get lots of friends that way, haha!!!
one awesome Band I Remember when I First heard this back in the 80's It totally blew me away
Now THAT's what metal should sound like.
There’s two kinds of music... good music... and bad music this is good music!!!
Those were great times when bands like Trouble, Venom and Exodus were starting to make a dent in the thrash metal scene.
Trouble was never a thrash band
@@domingossavio9418 Ok Christian glam rock.
@@domingossavio9418 Dude, the doom scene is not yet fully defined before. Trouble is mixed up in thrash scene to represent their band however they can, even Saint Vitus started in the punk scene as you may know.
back in the day,i was full of heroine and saw them in the first time ever in Hellas,,,i have never regreted it.....respect to Trouble
Man people say the 80s were the best time for metal based on the surface level stuff. But this right here proves the underground is where it was at.
Trouble is really amazing.
IM SO PROUD I AM FROM CHICAGO KNOWING THAT BANDS LIKE THIS CAME OUT OF THAT GREAT CITY ! AMEN!
i can't think what to write, trouble are just the best; so spiritual and the greatest riff writers. there you go i wrote something..god bless eric wagner.

These guys fucking rock! This is the first time I heard of these guys. I'm gonna try and find their stuff. Reminds of me a little of early black sabbath.
Thats cool. I saw trouble with pantera and whitezombie right before those two bands went big. It was called the heaven and hell tour
I can't wait to rock this in a nursing home in 2070 😆
Perfection.
They're not playing live in this video. They're playing along to a recording. It's really obvious when it comes to the vocals.
heaaavvyyyyyyyyy!!!!!Yeeeeeaaaahhhh!!!!!Trouble rules!!!!
This is the first time I've heard of Trouble being called a Christian Band....These guys are just great Stoner Rock...
Awesome live vocals on point doom rules

One of my all time fave bands and can't wait to see them in 5 weeks on 70K tons of metal cruise even w/out Eric but seriously, these vids... WTF? They're just performing to the recorded track. Cool to see them in this setting but I wish they'd performed and recorded it
