I owned the book It's In The Book Bob by Bob Eubanks. When Bob left the Newlywed Game in 1988, he handed the reigns to Paul Rodriguez. Bob wanted to give him pointers, but Paul wanted to host the show his way. BIG MISTAKE. No wonder it ended in 1989. After the first season in the late 1990s with Gary Kroeger, the executive producers ended up calling Bob and admitted they messed up with that version and they wanted Bob to return for the second season. Bob immediately said, "Get out your checkbook." Not only did he return the next season, it went back to the classic format and Bob was given executive consultant credit for the next two seasons. Even the fans of the original Newlywed Game hated the Kroeger format.

Most unusual place, the woman’s answer was “in the butt Bob”, I saw the show! The show went instantly to break and the woman came up with a different answer.
I heard about this episode, but never saw it. I did watch with regularity, though. Only ever saw it with Bob Eubanks. Never realized it played in foreign countries, or that it had various hosts.
The show with Eubanks was always a fun watch. I didn't like the new shows at all. Sorry FACTS VERSE, I give this video a thumbs down. I didn't like the ending.
.... I have to agree with the other commenter I did not like the new show at all, and I did not like the ending to this particular video... sorry Facts Verse . I just feel that I'm tired of people that are not heterosexual feeling like they're entitled to everything under the sun ... and that's just my personal feelings . I'll take flack for it but I don't care. You have to have the courage of your convictions. I'm not the only commenter to express this.
My mom thought he was a creep also. She didn't like the way he humiliated some of the contestants. She also didn't like many of his facial expressions. Won't mention what she thought of Graham Kerr on the "Galloping Gourmet"...

Fact Verse needs a fact checker. The video states the couples had to be married al least 2 years. Wrong! They had to be married LESS than 2 years.
