I'd love to see WC outsourcing more work to community mod teams to take some of the pressure off and allow WC to focus more specifically on the new content. Hell we might even get some legacy issues fixed with extra people at their disposal.

We are getting all of ASE content for free so atleast to me it makes sense for them to release new paid content and i dont mind for as long as it is good. Even developers have to pay the bills. You dont think that official servers are running for free are you? Also people have to get paid. If you dont like it, dont buy it but dont be mad because they release paid content.

I dont have the best hardware and im on team Red on this one (no Nvidia or Intel) and on my end ASA runs on 70 fps stable with upscaling. It could be better but Ark is complicated game and a lot of performance issues are on engine itself. Would be nice to be able to run it with that fps on Epic settings native on 1440p but it runs fine on medium/high 1080p with upscaling to 1440p. I dont really care about early access. There are bugs in the game but so far i have not seen any gamebreaking bugs that would prevent me from playing the game apart from that one driver issue when Aberration released and that was temporarily fixed by downgrading to older drivers until new one was released and with AMD those are released every month.

I was initially a little disappointed that Gen1+2 won't be till '26 but I guess we all expected Ark 2 to be pushed back to '27/'28 for next gen consoles and this pads the next year out, especially as they give us an entirely new DLC that we didn't have before. Ark players are gonna whine but we are more spoiled than we know. Just wish WC didn't have to bend the knee to their overlords, the 🐌

That’s is actually a insane pick for top 2. The tropeo is outclassed in every way by the astrodelphis essentially making it obsolete, and the crystal wyverns are just slight reskins with a new breath attack.
Id love for an ocean variant of the pyromane but im skeptical about a reskin. I think something like a sea horse that opperates the same way, you can shoulder it giving you unlimited oxygen and maybe increased swim speed, and then ride it for very fast underwater speed, manueverability, and potentially unlimited oxygen as well.

personally i think the missions being so poorly designed was its biggest flaw, with some being quite literally impossible to complete without help or boosted rates
Gen 1 was good on foundation i would say but mission areas restricted building so much that you couldnt build almost anywhere on the map. You also cant build near other player structures and mission restrictions did not help at all. I did not mind biome teleportation but it would be better if it was one big map instead of 4 smaller ones basically. I think missions should scale better depending on how many players are in that mission so you could do all of them solo. Some people play single player and some missions were impossible to do when solo.
Did you know that there are 15 dossiers that can not be unlocked in game and they do not belong to any of our maps (they don't show up when you sort by map).
I'm just happy to hear something about Ragnarok, honestly. My friends and I have been trying to stay patient while we wait to start a server on that map. I'm totally fine with waiting until April, and if I remember correctly, didn't Crystal Isles comes out well after Genesis?

While nekartus (not sure if that’s spelt correctly) is brilliant at making maps I do wish the guy would focus more on getting maps finished, while he’s got valguero to work on he’s also got two of his own mod maps going, still hasn’t finished the one map before starting another one for people to buy I understand maybe not wanting to get burn out working on the same map but it’s just adding extra work when you’ve got 3 unfinished maps two of which people have paid for

Well it did on ASE aswell and as it was mentioned it has all creatures so you cant release the map before you release all the dlc creatures that are there. It is my favourite map aswell but we're gonna have to wait for it.
@@vermi9162 Ok most of them. From everything that is in the Ark, Fjordur is missing only about 15 creatures + robot ones like Enforcer from Sanctuary on Extinction. Those that are not on Fjordur dont even make sense for them to be there in the first place. Everything else is there so you still cannot release Fjordur before Gen 2. Point still stands.
I want to see a fantastic tame that is either a good resource farmer, or similar to a maewing that can raise babies to juvenile for you especially since we won't see maewings for another year....
They better bring back lost island I need my sinomacrops!!! Crystal isle was great for artifacts plus the badass tropeognathus which reminds me of Nanosaur 2, man the memories.

I’m willing to bet that Lost Colony will be around $30. Bob’s True Tales will probably be around $20. Genesis 1 is my second favorite map outside of Aberration. If it doesn’t get instanced mission areas like Genesis 2, it’s going to extremely hurt the map. *Especially* on Official. The buildable area is extremely small because of it. Maybe for Genesis 2 they could expand the bowels of the ship and or make it more dangerous to help with the exploration aspect. Being able to Tek Suit around it really hurts its difficulty. Something akin to the Red Zone with a tertiary survival mechanic. Maybe an “insanity” meter the longer than you are down there. Maybe at really high stacks you start to hallucinate, see things, or other negative effects to survival etc. Like Rockwell is slowly corrupting your mind and or body. There would possibly need to be a mechanic to slow or reduce its ascent ie. with a new piece of equipment, HLN-A gets “stronger” as you complete missions, or something similar. I like the insanity idea in a vacuum, but it would need a lot of iteration. If we don’t end up getting Crystal Isles and Lost Island (which I really hope I’m wrong), they at least need to add the Deinopithecus and the Crystal Wyverns to one or multiple of the other returning maps.
@Valindude53 they’re still the worst dev team and publishers on this earth. The game is riddled with cheaters and nothing but RMT it’s so bad. I am very sure that snail and wildcard are both in on it just so they can make extra money because this game doesn’t make them much of anything. That’s the only reason the stocks went up, they weren’t making money from the game, so where did they get money from the throw into the stocks to make them go up? RMT. Wildcard have been caught before trading two players giving them OP blueprints or dinos. There is one very specific video from back in the day, I can’t even find it anymore it’s years old like 4-5 but it was in the crack on scorched a dev pulling out blueprints of a transmitter, giving them to a player. Then the player had another Dev remove them from their inventory without even being anywhere, they were just disappearing 1 by 1 and they were all capped.
@ think you need to learn about the player base and how many are left… the game is dead bozo it was my main game for its entire existence and still is. I know everything about the game and it’s players… “YoUre LoGiC iS fRaGiLe” go play pve 😭😭😭 anyone who isn’t on console is cheating and who is on console is RMT’ing and I know this first hand. I can refer you a lot of discord and Facebook pages plus websites that make up the entire player count on any given day besides a few thousand total that don’t do any of it.
Bobs True tales will be three maps as well sense it will include arat prime, sure I spelled that wrong. Also Crystal Isles and Lost island are still coming per Dolly in discord. Not bad if they can actually stick to the road map but I'd still prefer getting all the story Maps out first and then go with the other maps, but that's just me.
I find it odd that we would see Fjordur revamped before Crystal Isles and Lost Island and on top of that they weren't put into the road map for the next year either.

Looking forward to Lost Colony. For as long as content is good i dont mind paying for it as it supports developers. Cant wait for the UE5.5 upgrade to see if it improves performance.
I think they delayed roadmap is a good thing. They're giving themselves more time to complete everything. And they have to add nvidia frame gen back in or else the 50 series nvidia cards won't be that great of a jump in performance.
I really hope they re-release the crystal isles. I really want Crystal wyverns back in the game and there are some really cool locations on that map. Perhaps it needs some tweaking but I’m fine with that. Also, I hope they can do some tweaking on club Ark. I’ve been playing the game mode recently and I think it has a a lot of potential but it is not friendly to players who are playing by themselves or even playing with one other person. That and it’s deterring when you have to complete at least SIX other game modes on certain a difficulty to refresh the bonus coins. Only to stop because you aren’t able to beat the higher difficulty modes.

The Devs actively stated MULTIPLE times that those were the time frames they were AIMING FOR, not that they were definitive. I think most people are getting annoyed at this point due to the consistency of them being inconsistent with their generalized windows.. I honestly would think it would be healthier for them to take the drop date and just flat out add an extra month or two. If they finish early, that'll look better on them and they can announce it as such. If not, they don't have to announce delays and excuses which the fan base has already become accustom to
@@chrisgibson553 the dates originally listed almost certainly aren't "release dates" more like "deadlines set by the publishers" I can garuntee now that the Devs don't get a say in the initial date. They've been doing this for years, they know by now how long it takes to make a map but they don't get to decide on those initial dates. That's why they choose their words carefully, whether the community can distinguish between "this is when we are aiming for" & "this is when it will release" is down to us not the Devs And I hate to say it but this is only perpetuated by the way some CCs word their own overviews of dev feedback. Instead of making sure their own communities are aware of the specifics it's "THIS IS THE CONFIRMED RELEASE DATE" before the words "this is when the map will release" are actually typed out by anyone at WC This happened with Ab iirc, A CC was streaming Minecraft while waiting for the community crunch. Stating multiple times "this is 100% going to be the announcement trailer" going off of jack squat which turned into a royal mess on the discord

Ngl, the fact that we aren't getting Crystal Isles until 2027 at the earliest has killed alot of my hype and desire to keep playing That was my favorite map and part of my motivation for even buying ASA was to eventually get back there within a year (which was the original plan), then it got moved to 2025...and now we're here, and now we won't be getting Crystal Isles until I am 32 years old, at the EARLIEST Also, what is a "premium" map? Is that another official story map, or a premium mod map that nobody will buy?
Naaa Lost Colony isnt going to be a mod map. It's going to be the 1st story map DLC for ASA. Premium just means paid for. Otherwise they wouldn't have put it in the scene after you beat extinction. The devs did say they were going to make a new story map for ASA so this is most likely it.

The Shadowmane is kind of an underwater creature already. I loved using them on Gen 1. But the whole shoulder pet/unlimited oxygen thing would be cool

I honestly really liked gen 1, main complaints were biome teleportation, and the most BEAUTIFUL flyers we couldn't use.

Same, i heard that it is supposed to connect extinction and Genesis, but i had a strong feeling that the map is not free

I’m willing to bet that Lost Colony will be around $30. Bob’s True Tales will probably be around $20.
Genesis 1 is my second favorite map outside of Aberration. If it doesn’t get instanced mission areas like Genesis 2, it’s going to extremely hurt the map. *Especially* on Official. The buildable area is extremely small because of it.
Maybe for Genesis 2 they could expand the bowels of the ship and or make it more dangerous to help with the exploration aspect. Being able to Tek Suit around it really hurts its difficulty. Something akin to the Red Zone with a tertiary survival mechanic. Maybe an “insanity” meter the longer than you are down there. Maybe at really high stacks you start to hallucinate, see things, or other negative effects to survival etc. Like Rockwell is slowly corrupting your mind and or body. There would possibly need to be a mechanic to slow or reduce its ascent ie. with a new piece of equipment, HLN-A gets “stronger” as you complete missions, or something similar. I like the insanity idea in a vacuum, but it would need a lot of iteration.
If we don’t end up getting Crystal Isles and Lost Island (which I really hope I’m wrong), they at least need to add the Deinopithecus and the Crystal Wyverns to one or multiple of the other returning maps.

Well, they did want to keep The Lost Colony a secret, but they could have just waited till after they announced it before they released the road map
@Valindude53 they’re still the worst dev team and publishers on this earth. The game is riddled with cheaters and nothing but RMT it’s so bad. I am very sure that snail and wildcard are both in on it just so they can make extra money because this game doesn’t make them much of anything. That’s the only reason the stocks went up, they weren’t making money from the game, so where did they get money from the throw into the stocks to make them go up? RMT. Wildcard have been caught before trading two players giving them OP blueprints or dinos. There is one very specific video from back in the day, I can’t even find it anymore it’s years old like 4-5 but it was in the crack on scorched a dev pulling out blueprints of a transmitter, giving them to a player. Then the player had another Dev remove them from their inventory without even being anywhere, they were just disappearing 1 by 1 and they were all capped.

@ think you need to learn about the player base and how many are left… the game is dead bozo it was my main game for its entire existence and still is. I know everything about the game and it’s players… “YoUre LoGiC iS fRaGiLe” go play pve 😭😭😭 anyone who isn’t on console is cheating and who is on console is RMT’ing and I know this first hand. I can refer you a lot of discord and Facebook pages plus websites that make up the entire player count on any given day besides a few thousand total that don’t do any of it.

Bobs True tales will be three maps as well sense it will include arat prime, sure I spelled that wrong. Also Crystal Isles and Lost island are still coming per Dolly in discord. Not bad if they can actually stick to the road map but I'd still prefer getting all the story Maps out first and then go with the other maps, but that's just me.
I find it odd that we would see Fjordur revamped before Crystal Isles and Lost Island and on top of that they weren't put into the road map for the next year either.

Let’s be honest if ASA taught us anything, it’s inevitable that these maps will be delayed. Also tbh it’s kinda interesting that they put fjordur on the roadmap before crystal isles and lost island.
Also we still have yet to get the cryo and the concavenator in ASA
Looking forward to Lost Colony. For as long as content is good i dont mind paying for it as it supports developers. Cant wait for the UE5.5 upgrade to see if it improves performance.

I think they delayed roadmap is a good thing. They're giving themselves more time to complete everything. And they have to add nvidia frame gen back in or else the 50 series nvidia cards won't be that great of a jump in performance.
A bit sad not to see Lost Island on there, it's my favorite map. Hoping it's still getting added eventually.
I really hope they re-release the crystal isles. I really want Crystal wyverns back in the game and there are some really cool locations on that map. Perhaps it needs some tweaking but I’m fine with that.
Also, I hope they can do some tweaking on club Ark. I’ve been playing the game mode recently and I think it has a a lot of potential but it is not friendly to players who are playing by themselves or even playing with one other person. That and it’s deterring when you have to complete at least SIX other game modes on certain a difficulty to refresh the bonus coins. Only to stop because you aren’t able to beat the higher difficulty modes.
I still not understand what it’s Lost Colony. A map? A DLC Map? A DLC series?

crystal isles was beautiful and huge. not much else to say about imo though.... i wont mind it being skipped personally

The old road-map was at NO POINT set in stone. The Devs actively stated MULTIPLE times that those were the time frames they were AIMING FOR, not that they were definitive.
I hate delays as much as anyone else but yall need to read

I think most people are getting annoyed at this point due to the consistency of them being inconsistent with their generalized windows.. I honestly would think it would be healthier for them to take the drop date and just flat out add an extra month or two. If they finish early, that'll look better on them and they can announce it as such. If not, they don't have to announce delays and excuses which the fan base has already become accustom to

I can garuntee now that the Devs don't get a say in the initial date. They've been doing this for years, they know by now how long it takes to make a map but they don't get to decide on those initial dates.
That's why they choose their words carefully, whether the community can distinguish between "this is when we are aiming for" & "this is when it will release" is down to us not the Devs
And I hate to say it but this is only perpetuated by the way some CCs word their own overviews of dev feedback. Instead of making sure their own communities are aware of the specifics it's "THIS IS THE CONFIRMED RELEASE DATE" before the words "this is when the map will release" are actually typed out by anyone at WC
This happened with Ab iirc, A CC was streaming Minecraft while waiting for the community crunch. Stating multiple times "this is 100% going to be the announcement trailer" going off of jack squat which turned into a royal mess on the discord
Another thing is that originally there were 2 different roadmaps. One from WildCard and other from Snail Games.

if you are on singleplayer/private server you own there are mods that can do that and if you arent then disabling them wouldnt work

Ngl, the fact that we aren't getting Crystal Isles until 2027 at the earliest has killed alot of my hype and desire to keep playing
That was my favorite map and part of my motivation for even buying ASA was to eventually get back there within a year (which was the original plan), then it got moved to 2025...and now we're here, and now we won't be getting Crystal Isles until I am 32 years old, at the EARLIEST
Also, what is a "premium" map? Is that another official story map, or a premium mod map that nobody will buy?

Call me insane but Genesis part 1 is my favorite because it brought different mechanics that I found very unique as well as the boss fight
The roadmap is def more realistic from their previous version, if only they could deliver on time.
Naaa Lost Colony isnt going to be a mod map. It's going to be the 1st story map DLC for ASA. Premium just means paid for. Otherwise they wouldn't have put it in the scene after you beat extinction. The devs did say they were going to make a new story map for ASA so this is most likely it.
