I'm a professional barber of 26 years. This was a very well put together instructional video. Lots of training wheels for the new barber. I'm always asked how to cut faster.... I always tell them, Work on your technique....speed will come. Again, well done brother and I wish you much success.
peter barry I have a question for you sir , how do you determine who is a quality barber / haircut and most importantly when you consider a barber for yourself what is the criteria?
@@lclark3279 From my experience, cleanliness, customer interaction, understanding your personal limitations, being realistic with the client and paying attention to the flow of the hair are key points. Just to clarify, the cleanliness of the client's hair and skin along with the barber. Ive seen people get haircuts who should have been escorted out because of the condition of their hair and scalp. That's my short list as far as a good barber.

thats the clients fault. as a waver, you should always wash the products out of your hair the night before you get your haircut.

Jeezy at 11:00 you said you went to a 2 guard and it looked like a 1 guard. At 15:00 you used a 2 guard at the top of the blend. As you can see I watch these videos intensely to make sure I do the right thing. Another dope cut though. Those new trimmers I saw on Amazon, they are fire.

Good fade!!! I was kinda questioning you at times cuz some of your fades looked bulky. But, you did your thing. One question I've always had for you....it seems like you go really deep into people's hairlines on your shape ups. They look good when done, but what about when the new growth starts to come back in?? Won't it be a mess??
For someone thats new to cutting id say cut down the bulk all around first then fade down, Jeezy took a couple extra steps that would stunt a beginner barber & make a 30 min cut into an hour trying to remove lines
Beginners should clear bulk & fade down first, the more lines u create the more time u spend taking them out, don’t create lines if u don’t have to

Hey Jeezy! If you use the foil shaver in African American hair just tell the client to exfoliate the skin with a cleanser at home and use coconut oil every night. They won’t have a bump in site. I use the foil shavers on my husband and both my son’s with no problems ever.

as a barber, dandruff really doesn't bother me that much. it is unpleasant but there really are much worse things the client could have in their hair/scalp so i just get on with it. its not something you can fix overnight so i don't think it should be a reason to not get a cut unless it is really bad.
True, like bumps, etcetera. No, you can wash yo' head thoroughly, used a scrub, shower gloves, a washcloth, etcetera.
