As much as I hate saying this, I definitely was with Howard for the majority of this, only because I've usually ever dealt with Pasta and Meats like Chicken (albeit only once LMAO). As someone who has dealt with Pasta, I can say the following things for you to know when you try it next time. • The Water takes about 10 or 12 Minutes at least to come to a Boil. What this usually means is a "Rolling Boil" or when you actually see the Bubbles rapidly coming up to the Surface of the Water. The time it actually takes to get to this point will depend upon how much water you're using (how much is in the Pot) as well as what you're using to cook your food with (I.E. What type of Stove you're using in this case). I know I sound like I'm yapping right now, but there is a Noticable Difference Between cooking on an Induction Stove like what you've got and Cooking on a Gas Stove or an Electric Stove like what my parents and I have. The Main Appeal with the Induction Stoves is that the Heat is Evenly distributed across the Pots and Pans, Whereas Electric Stoves will let the Food have more Flavor and Texture to it, meanwhile Gas Stoves cook things Thoroughly and Quickly from what I remember seeing and Hearing about them though the Taste of the Food is about as good as an Electric Stove. • When Filling your Pot with Water, Always fill the Pot between Halfway and Two-Thirds of the Way full. This is so that there's enough water to cook the Pasta once it's come to a Boil. The Basic Science is what we all learned in Science class in Elementary and Middle school, The Evaporation Process, so You'll basically be covering that as well. • When Adding the Pasta to the Pot once the Water is Boiling, you don't need to Hold it like a Literal Child..... Just Put it in and Let it go. As it cooks, it'll settle down into the Pot as it's taking in water which is Boiling any Preservatives or anything else out of the Pasta. My Parents could probably explain this part a little better than me, but generally when the Pasta is Cooked, you'll see a White Cloudy-ish Layer of Bubbles starting to form around the Edges of the Pot. This is how you'll know that it's time to pour it through a Strainer in the Kitchen Sink..... Not actually into the Sink, no you set the Strainer in the Sink and Pour the Pasta in the Strainer and drain the Water into the Sink. *Looks at Molly's Visible Confusion* • The Use of some of the Water used to boil the Pasta is to add the Flavor of the Pasta into the Other Ingredients of the Whole Meal as they cook. You basically blend some of the Pasta's Flavor into the rest of the Meal with this. • As for the Camera Set-up, The Placement of the Camera is usually at a Downward Angle to avoid the Mishaps that you had here. I know this is a New Thing for you, but try and put some more Distance between the Camera and the Food while the later is being cooked. Your Phone and it's Camera will definitely appreciate it. If you want to watch some Cooking videos between Gaming Streams/Vods or VA Pulls or even Cooking Streams, I'd Recommend watching Pasta Grammar and Tasting History. Pasta Grammar focuses on Italian Foods and Dishes as well as How to Make them. Harper and Ava (Ay-Vah) are a Married Couple in Italy, with Harper being Italian American and Ava being Italian, Living in Reggio Calabria (the Southern Region of Italy, which is also where most of my Father's side of the Family comes from as well) not too far from Ava's Family. Tasting History goes over all the Foods that were made over the Course of History, From Food in Folklore like the Original prints of Robin Hood to the Iconic Dishes like Chef Boyardee's (Spelled as Boiardi) Spaghetti and Meatballs to even Drinks across the Wild West and even Various Tribal Dishes like the Aztecs or the Different American Indian Tribes, and will even Cook them to see how it looks and how it'll taste. Those Two Channels are a Must if you're looking to Refine your Cooking Knowledge or even see how Food looked over the Course of Time. Loved the video @Mollozhang! Can't wait for the next video Girl! As much as I hate saying this, I definitely was with Howard for the majority of this, only because I've usually ever dealt with Pasta and Meats like Chicken (albeit only once LMAO).
As someone who has dealt with Pasta, I can say the following things for you to know when you try it next time.
• The Water takes about 10 or 12 Minutes at least to come to a Boil. What this usually means is a "Rolling Boil" or when you actually see the Bubbles rapidly coming up to the Surface of the Water. The time it actually takes to get to this point will depend upon how much water you're using (how much is in the Pot) as well as what you're using to cook your food with (I.E. What type of Stove you're using in this case). I know I sound like I'm yapping right now, but there is a Noticable Difference Between cooking on an Induction Stove like what you've got and Cooking on a Gas Stove or an Electric Stove like what my parents and I have. The Main Appeal with the Induction Stoves is that the Heat is Evenly distributed across the Pots and Pans, Whereas Electric Stoves will let the Food have more Flavor and Texture to it, meanwhile Gas Stoves cook things Thoroughly and Quickly from what I remember seeing and Hearing about them though the Taste of the Food is about as good as an Electric Stove.
• When Filling your Pot with Water, Always fill the Pot between Halfway and Two-Thirds of the Way full. This is so that there's enough water to cook the Pasta once it's come to a Boil. The Basic Science is what we all learned in Science class in Elementary and Middle school, The Evaporation Process, so You'll basically be covering that as well.
• When Adding the Pasta to the Pot once the Water is Boiling, you don't need to Hold it like a Literal Child..... Just Put it in and Let it go. As it cooks, it'll settle down into the Pot as it's taking in water which is Boiling any Preservatives or anything else out of the Pasta. My Parents could probably explain this part a little better than me, but generally when the Pasta is Cooked, you'll see a White Cloudy-ish Layer of Bubbles starting to form around the Edges of the Pot. This is how you'll know that it's time to pour it through a Strainer in the Kitchen Sink..... Not actually into the Sink, no you set the Strainer in the Sink and Pour the Pasta in the Strainer and drain the Water into the Sink. *Looks at Molly's Visible Confusion*
• The Use of some of the Water used to boil the Pasta is to add the Flavor of the Pasta into the Other Ingredients of the Whole Meal as they cook. You basically blend some of the Pasta's Flavor into the rest of the Meal with this.
• As for the Camera Set-up, The Placement of the Camera is usually at a Downward Angle to avoid the Mishaps that you had here. I know this is a New Thing for you, but try and put some more Distance between the Camera and the Food while the later is being cooked. Your Phone and it's Camera will definitely appreciate it.
If you want to watch some Cooking videos between Gaming Streams/Vods or VA Pulls or even Cooking Streams, I'd Recommend watching Pasta Grammar and Tasting History. Pasta Grammar focuses on Italian Foods and Dishes as well as How to Make them. Harper and Ava (Ay-Vah) are a Married Couple in Italy, with Harper being Italian American and Ava being Italian, Living in Reggio Calabria (the Southern Region of Italy, which is also where most of my Father's side of the Family comes from as well) not too far from Ava's Family. Tasting History goes over all the Foods that were made over the Course of History, From Food in Folklore like the Original prints of Robin Hood to the Iconic Dishes like Chef Boyardee's (Spelled as Boiardi) Spaghetti and Meatballs to even Drinks across the Wild West and even Various Tribal Dishes like the Aztecs or the Different American Indian Tribes, and will even Cook them to see how it looks and how it'll taste.
Those Two Channels are a Must if you're looking to Refine your Cooking Knowledge or even see how Food looked over the Course of Time.
