@kazzie Trims do affect hair length. Trims are important because the artist will cut all of your split ends so that they don't split upwards and damage the whole strand. Are you a hairstylist? lol if you are you need to lose your license
@@italliamaestri9611 it doesn't help hair growth just because it gets rid of split ends doesn't mean it will help. Because when you trim your hair it gets shorter and shorter every time you trim it. If you have split ends you are better off using a leave in conditioner. Where is your license?

Maria Mariel listen to me when I say I have the chubbiest of cheeks and I dress like a boy I thought my pixie cut would make me look like a chubby dude but it actually made me look and feel more beautiful and feminine. So give it a try if you think you would like having a pixie cut

If I'm being 100% honest, there is a good chance you'll regret it. I regret mine as It makes me feel so much less feminine. But it's a chance you should take, you might really really end up liking it

Trims don’t technically make your hair grow faster.
It just gets rid of the split ends and breakage, so it’ll seem like your hair is growing faster, since you’re no longer losing length due to breakage. It doesn’t actually affect hair growth speeds, unfortunately. 🙁

My hair was 14 inches, but then I wanted to cut it into a pixie cut, for a while I really liked it, but now I'm kinda wishing I didn't cut it so short, so this was really helpful, and I'm glad I was able to find something like this.

Same. Mine was about 20". I got it cut shorter than Pink's! Shaved in back and sides...took 2 looks to see my mother's face, and it HAD to go. Been about 2 cuts (just shaping) since the super short cut, and it is growing out beautifully. I had a pixie about 10 years ago and was the WORST GROWOUT in History, I am sure. God what she did to my hair-she was razoring it!!! Awful. Anyway, your cuts will grow out so fast, if you don't look in the mirror at it ALL THE TIME! That is a pro-tip right there. Step AWAY from reflective surfaces...

Trims don't help ur hair grow faster but if ur ends are damaged it cuts the dead ends off so it's not constantly staying at the same length because it keeps snapping off.
Zoe Small this^^ plus your probably better to take care of yourself drink more water certain veggies and stuff are full of vitamins that help hair skin and nails I'm not sure if the multivitamins help but more of this will help I find trims just help me cope with the awkward stages because they neaten it up.
Samantha Hopkins, yes veggies and water will help with the goodness in them, and multivitamins will help but only if taken consistently. I do trim my hair as growing layers out , it does look better with the awkward stages of growth.
Zoe Small trimming your hair does help it grow, faster and healthier. You don’t get it cut u just get the split ends trimmed. If u have split ends it takes longer for ur hair to grow. There are legit studies that prove all if this.

That's weird... Very lucky you then. Because the average rate or speed of hair growth is about 1.25 centimetres or 0.5 inches per month, so that's only about 15 centimetres or 6 inches per year. When starting with a pixie, it's first all about levelling up the front with the back, to get a short bob, this takes quite long depending on how short your pixie was on the sides and front. The first year is the most awkward when growing it out, certainly when you want to keep it need in the meantime, not looking like some hobo (mullet = no go).

Try putting some nice smelling baby powder on the towel that you dry your hair with. The more you wash it the more oils are stripped then your hair tries to compensate by produsing more oil.

Honestly!!!! I keep having people tell me it'll take years but it took 5 months to get my hair to grow out long enough to where I could get a wolfcut. And I did . AND THEN CHOPPED IT OFF AGAIN ☠️☠️ now here I am, right back at the start.

The tips are good for general overall care, but hair growth is due to predetermined genetics. The rate that one's hair grows has little to do with oiling etc.

I used to have really long hair 2 years and 1 month ago until I cut it to a bob.
Then I grew my hair to where it is up to now.
In just 1 year my hair was getting closer to waist length.
Now it's getting closer to my Butt crack
December 2nd 2016:
Bob hair cut ( I had hip length hair then I cut it to a bob)
February 2017:
My hair is nearing my armpits
June 2017:
My hair is now mid back length
September - December 2017:
It's getting closer to my waist (lower back length)

She says that heat products slow the growth process? I'm a hairdresser and that's is definitely not true. It's the heat TOOLS that hurt you. You NEED heat products because if you don't then of course it'll break and damage your hair. Also trims WILL help! PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE get your hair trimmed. When hair is damaged or "splitting" it can split all the way up to the root and break off. Getting those ends cut off will help the hair not split and not break off - thus allowing it to grow

I cut it again last year around this time, then I let it grow out into a bob, then I shaved the side of my head, AND THEENNNNN I grew out the side cut and got a pixie. I have naturally oily hair like no matter what trick I found it still look like I struck oil...and also I tried but honestly all I did was stop blow drying my hair everyday let it air dry everyday and now my hair laying off my shoulders now (: my cousin who is a professional hairstylist was impressed with how my hair grew healthy and no mullet phase :D
Thank goodness, while I have the mullet thing going I can cover it because the top part of my hair is longer. Yay. Plus I can tie my hair back now. Haven't cut my hair since last summer. I waiting until then to do it. Only wash my hair 1 to 2 times a week. Then again I've been doing that for years so I'm used to that.
Loved this video! Thanks for sharing about your pixie cut journey. I got a pixie cut 2 months ago and IMMEDIATELY regretted it!! I miss my long hair every day! So I am interested in what you said about micro bead extensions! Would love to hear more from you about those and if you know how to do them yourself. I was told that extensions might not work for me because I have really short hair, but I am determined to make some work- I miss my long hair so much.

Coconut oil will destroy many hair types. I was recommending it willy nilly because it was so nice on mine (for a while anyway), not realizing it was damaging others.. and I do mean BREAKING the hair off. Bad. Real bad.

I had hip length hair and I got a pixie cut 2 months ago.. My hair growth is fast.. Very fast compared to anyone I've ever known.. Its already ear length.. And the cut suit me too but my family wants me to grow my hair till elbow within 6 months.. I love pixie cut.. But sadly have to grow my hair.. So was surfing all videos and loved your tips.. I'd say castor oil with vitamin e and mustard oil help like magic

I Don't mind uneven hair but it's growing, I wash it once a week, never styled with heat cause "Quarantaine", no colouring, a bit castor oil evry 2 nights and a good amount on the wash day... Still my pixie won't grow 😔😔😔😔

My hair hasn’t grown for 4 years I had it cut into a pixie and my hair is so thick now but the top is so short and the back is longer so it’s so hard for me to style and it makes me feel so ugly every single day I hate it about myself I really would trade my whole life for hair like I used to have, if ya ever think about bleaching or cutting your hair THINK TWICE hair grows back but not as fast as you think and it can make you very depressed in the meantime

I had grew out my hair for three years too .. was long enough to touch my a$$ then went to a hair salon for a green ombré and she bleached my hair for three hours so it basically cooked my hair and now I have neck hair length and I’m so sad 😞 but it’s okay at least now feels thick again after the ombré whenever I wet my hair it felt like gum , like Barbie hair ... but now it’s okay just not used to short hair ughh I gotta grow it out again
Oooooh I remember when you cut your hair into a pixie. I was like nooooooo haha and I knew you'd regret it afterwards xD but it's all fine. Time flew by like crazy! It's already been 3 years, wow. And your hair got to a good length now. I agree it'd be even longer if you didn't bleach it and all.

Honestly, get trims. I try to wait 10 weeks and just dust the ends. I had an awesome stylist who helped me grow out my hair. Aaand castor oil really does help. Massage it into scalp leave on a couple of hours or overnight if possible. I noticed a significant amount of hair growth in 2 1/2 months. And yet here I am again I cut it but shoulder length only thank God. This length makes me feel like a little girl ugh.
I had to wash my hair every day for almost 2 months and that like ruined my hair so I have to wash it every other day because I'm blonde so it shows up so much if my hair is greasy but I want to grow out my hair. Oil also just makes my hair look greasy so are there any other tips you recommend?
Kira Peterson you can train your hair to not get oily as fast if you just go as long as you can without washing it.
Try dry shampoo!
Also you should add oil when your hair is damp so it doesn't look greasy when it dries

I have a pixie cut and my hair grows out fast but I have curly hair and a 5 four head so I look would look really ugly growing it out so I'll probably just wear a wig till I grow it out :\
