In the book, I absolutely hated Mrs Coulter. This woman was so obsessed with her daughter that she (spoiler!) drugged her in order to keep her for herself. In the film, it's different. She's a woman torn apart by power and love and wants nothing more than to protect her child. I absolutely love how complex she is. I wonder if that opinion will change in season 2 and 3
if the show keeps being as good as season 1 then the very sad part involving marisa and asriel in amber spyglass will be the saddest thing ever (if youve read the books ull know wat i mean)
