The biggest mistake sk did was first in brawlball the colette didnt handle the frank properly and in hotzone the surge had the wrong gadget (the shield ) when he shouldve had the upgrade gadget which threw they're chance at winning
Lenain didn't seem to be habituated at playing colette and kenji, I saw many mistakes by his part. With Kenji he was engaging too aggressively at times (7:50) or the opposite (5:54), but I can't really blame him, he got some horrible matchups, meg still has great survivability and dps, especially from up close, he can't really push into darryl alone, especially if max health, and angelo can flee or use the lake to his advantage... But he could have avoided it... With colette, he was using gadgets out of panic it seemed at times (18:56), and sometimes, when the gadget was active, he was targeting the brawler at low hp, other times forgot to use it in key moments.... And lastly, he was messing up the combos: Many times he attacked, used super and started attacking once again afterwards, leaving the enemy alive and many times dying in the process, while he could have hit him twice and super afterwords (20:08 is an example)... I've rewatch some parts once again... he really struggled in that brawlball game to stay with a calm demeanor, and that's probably the reason he preferred to risk a goal rather to maintain possession (probably because he knew it too), he was missing many shots at times, sometimes crucial, he rushed to use super many times and at the end he used super and then hyper out of desperation... You mentioned before, and I agree with it, that you consider lenain to be one of the best players and probably the best in EU, but from how I perceived him in previous tournament appearances and from matches I played against him (mainly years ago when I use to play actively), he fails to remain calm when in disadvantage and in stressful situations... He is a master at comebacks and has a great sense of positioning, as shown in the gem grab and bounty games, where he had a pivotal role for his team, but when things don't go as planned, his performance tends to drop drastically... And that's something that you said before, sometimes it doesn't matter that you're the better player, the ability to ramain calm and teams chemistry is what defines one's performance... Also, I really liked the analysis on that bounty game, where you explained how sometimes, you need to be aware of who can die or what enemy needs to be killed, in the process, to remain or gain the advantage. Sometimes, I use that same tactic myself... disadvantageous position, time is ticking, I go to divert enemies attention on to me knowing that if I were to die, we would still be winning... On an added note, I sometimes use a similar metod in gem grab, if the gem carrier it's on a side of the map, I go on the opposite end to lure enemies, making it seem like I'm trying to protect the gem carrier, and this deceives them to use all their ammunition on me and on the grass where "the gem carrier is", but in reality it's on the other side.
That 13:22 HC super miss by Gale really cost them in that first Hot Zone game. The win really gave SK a lot of belief and momentum. A close loss there would have been crushing for SK's mental, the "we played so well and still lost" kinda shit.
