🙋🏻‍♂️. And we also got the Merlin: aka pigeon hawk. I been looking for a taste deterrent spray for BoPs. So far , I found a book that holds some hopeful information. 🙏

I have a resident pair that never migrated. The months of spring to summer the baby song birds and young wild pigeons were easy pickings for them. So the resident pair doesn’t really mess with my birds. They do showed up periodically. Towards the colder months. Young wild birds become stronger and experienced. Migratory BOP moved in (Coopers and other Falcons) terf overlapped and some passing through. Competition, colder temperatures and hunger made them desperate.
I noticed falcons can tell from a healthy to weak or old to young. It’s true falcons would sometimes give them a fake chase then pretend like they’re flying away just to loop back with speed and try their luck until they get one. They’ll do this repeatedly. Birds get confused, panicked and scattered is what they want.
