This is what happens when you foster a culture that doesn't respect anything. From teachers getting mocked in class and put online, to them getting knocked out for taking away games consoles in class. This generation is a disgrace to themselves, it's all about how they are seen by others online, and copying each other. Embarrassing, look at what it brings.
My wife was a teacher and my daughter still is . Most of the time you only have to meet the parents to see why the kids are like they are . My daughter and her partner are teachers and are looking to
work abroad next year, with the view to moving out of the country.
No respect in schools and the government constantly changing the rules, and i think that the kids have to do something like this to be expelled now because they seem to get away with everything else

@@davefish8107 There's always been the class clown(s). And when I was younger sometimes a pupil would back chat a teacher, but there was no hands on or squaring up to a teacher, let alone this crap. But it seems nowadays everyone wants to be delinquent. Sad.
It all stems from the government taking away the right of parents and schools to chastise unruly kids. The kids now grow up knowing they can do whatever they please without repercussions, and so they constantly push the limits. Bad behaviour is best dealt with by corporal punishment. Children don't put their fingers into the pretty flames again once they have experienced the resulting pain.
And I guess the largest part is inviting half the world into our country
The behaviour in schools is getting out of hands . Too much molly coddling going on in school and justifying the terrible abuse and bad behaviour from these unruly kids that teachers have to face day in day out in school. Being sworn at, screamed at , objects being thrown at you , racist words being used , squaring up to the teachers face, arguing back with you , disrespecting teachers , disrupting the lesson for students who want to learn and there parents don’t want to believe there kids are behaving like this school pandering to parents . Kids are running the school now days . What they want is what they get .You even get there parents coming into school threatening teachers with violence. People have no idea what school is like now days .

It's not just the schools, frankly it's mainly the laissez-faire lazy parenting in Western countries that is creating a generation of entitled kids. Even if schools brought back corporal punishment that wouldn't fix the issue unless the parents were also disciplining the kids at home. It's fundamentally a parenting style issue.

Definitely, when I see or hear large groups of kids in my village, the foul language that comes out of their mouths ,and the lack of respect.
Who on Earth would want to be a teacher nowadays? When pupils get upset because their friends won't meow at them while others stab or beat up the teacher.
Remind me again how wise it was to ban caning/discipline in the 80s. Generations are growing up that have never been told NO.
Look into “therapeutic behaviour support plans”, they are pretty much the norm in a lot of schools nowadays…teachers aren’t allowed to say no.

Doubt it. Kid at my school (like 14-16 at the time, I don’t remember exactly) stabbed another over drugs, victim survived. Went to juvi for like a couple of months or something ridiculous. Got out, few years later is an adult, stabbed my friend in the heart, killing him, on a night out because he got in the way of another attempted killing, was only charged with manslaughter, ridiculously tiny custodial sentence again. Is now free again, roaming the streets of my hometown where my parents live and my friend died (I moved away)
He will have mental health problems so no way will he,be properly punished in soft Britain

It'll be a slap on the wrist unfortunately, authorities just aren't in a position to deliver a just punishment with the circumstances presented.

I went to this school in the 80s. There are other schools nearby, one even uses the same gate. The suspect ran so it's understandable that they locked the others down.

It was, sadly, only a matter of time before this country's 'knife culture' that plagues our streets spilt over and into our schools. We have a very serious issue among our younger generation and their attitude to carrying and using knives, which seems to be an almost blasé & acceptable one. I cannot imagine ever stabbing someone myself, but a lot of these people don't seem to think twice about doing it. The value of human life is so cheap, it seems. It's so sad and quite scary.
