I was thinking the exact same thing! You can tell she is the only Dutch singer of the lot, just keeping it real. :-) (Plus she doesn't need any of that, her voice is more than enough to blow everyone away.)
Can we talk about all the Glindas doing the "and" EXACTLY at the same time? Like you can hear little phrasing differences throughout the whole piece because of course everyone sings it differently, but that particular cue must be SO specific for that many Glindas to hit it at the same time.
Once Willemijn popped up, my heart did a tiny backflip - I have loved her for so many years. I had the great honor of seeing her with the absolutely breathtakingly talented Suzie Mathers as Glinda in 2017 and it was the best thing to ever happen to me. Thanks for uploading - this is a beautiful edit.
Yay, Willemijn! Was so glad to see her included. I had plans to see her as Jenna in Waitress but sadly because of Covid-19 they scrapped that production. Still so bummed about that.
I love how everyone has their makeup and hair perfectly done and then there is Willemijn :P I also really wanted to go to Waitress - really hope they will be able to do it in 2021!
I love Willemijn for doing all the charity projects she can! She is also performing for free this Saturday to save a small theater in Amsterdam from closing. She is such a gem! ❤
I'm a senior in high school. I'm in choir and a tradition of ours is singing this song at the end of the year to send off our seniors. For this reason I will never not cry during this song. It touches me on such a personal level.
Yeah, I admit it...I'm a 56 year old bloke with tears in his eyes! Lost both my parents (Dad 97, Mum 92) last year, 5 weeks & 2 days apart. Dad to COVID, Mum, whose carer I had been for 9 years, to Dementia. I always loved this song but now it has way more impact. A beautiful job & thank you for creating this.
💔💞 Got a call last night that my mom who tested positive last week is now very ill. I never imagined that I would not be with her at the time of her leaving. Nor did I ever imagine that this song in particular would ever make me cry while reminding me just how much I have to be grateful for in the friend and mother my mother turned out to be. Thank you all so much. 🙏🏻
I couldn’t sing along with the cast of Wicked, because I’m moved to tears. It’s great to see & hear these talented ladies, who had the honor & privilege to play Glinda & Elphaba in West End’s production of Wicked, the show I dream to be in. Bravo!
I loved seeing Sophie Evans in this. Saw her on the west end as Galinda after I followed her throughout the beginning of her career in Over the Rainbow. Lovely voice and nice bubbly personality. She was my favourite throughout, plus I like supporting fellow red heads 😁
I saw this four years ago and and made a contribution to worthy cause and thought l left a comment this is it 22 of the best musical females to ever been on the stage thank you ❤
Lucky to see Helen Dallimore & Kerry Ellis in 2011, and they were both amazing singers.....still one of my favourite musicals, and looking forward to seeing it again in the future!
For me Willemijn Verkaik is the best😍 such a wonderful voice and technically the best singer. So sad she won't perform as elphie anymore. Hopefully she changes her mind one day.
@@maxstommel4575 She's such a kind lady. Well, I understand her point... After years being Elphaba, she wants to give opportunity for others. We have her legacy: the best Elphaba in the entire world so far.
omg is it a problem that i’ve seen 9 of these women live? omg i love them all so much! emma hatton, alice fearn, willemijn verkaik and savannah stevenson are my favs💞
That was absolutely incredible! I did a for good sing along and q&a put on by my dance school with Michelle Pentecost this morning and it was amazing! I really enjoyed listening to everyone together it gave me chills
Alexia khadime was my first elphaba and one of my absolute favourites! Lying here sobbing, my whole heart melts when I hear this song thank you so much for this video! X
This song has been my favourite since I heard it for the first time in January 2015 when I first saw Wicked. It holds a very special place in my heart, this was so emotional ❤️
God this makes me miss the theatre so much during this pandemic. Thank you ladies and everyone attached to the various productions for bringing some theatre joy via the marvel of TH-cam and other social media.
Everyone was absolutely amazing, but I found it amazing that both Sophie from Over the Rainbow and Rachel from I’d do Anything has the opportunity to use that opportunity to be apart of one of the best musicals
This was wonderful but dear god I hope they paid the person who put this together well because lord the job they would have done! Hats off to you blessed video editor lol
This song always makes me cry every time I listen to it, whether it's a live performance or listening to the soundtrack, and this video was definitely no exception to that. It was amazing and I loved it 💚💗💚💗💚💗
Glad I'm not the only one who thought this. But yes... I, too, was like, "I can hear you, baby. No matter how many people sing with you." THAT'S how unique our queen is.
This is just so amazing with so many great Elphabas and glindas and glad to say I have seen a few of these ladies in the show over the years and I have happily donated for such a great job you all do
Omggg my ❤️ . I’m really sad that I won’t see my friends again after we graduate😭 he was such a good friend and you kind proplr singing this song reminds me. Thank you 🙏
I’m so happy and sad. This really lifted my heart. I just wish to see my friends again. As I said as my other comment, we are graduating and we were planning big things. But. Since this virus came jn. We never saw each other in person again. (If)
Mad respect for the person who puts all these clips together and makes them sound good together
Yes, one of the remote singing videos that is actually mixed properly. :)
Louise Dearman singing both the Glinda and Elphana parts, like the queen she is.
It's so awesome to see all these amazing ladies united on screen.
I was lucky enough to see her as Glinda opposite of Rachel Tucker. They were an amazing couple.
I noticed that 4:30 to 4:40 after she did her solo as Elphaba from 3:12 to 3:18.
I like how everyone is dressed as sunday best and Willemijn is just rocking her quarantine look.
I wish Willemijn would have been featured more! She's fantastic 😍
I thought the same thing-way to keep it real!! :)
That’s our girl! 💚
I was thinking the exact same thing! You can tell she is the only Dutch singer of the lot, just keeping it real. :-)
(Plus she doesn't need any of that, her voice is more than enough to blow everyone away.)
She's done the show in three different languages, she has nothing more to prove lmao
Can we talk about all the Glindas doing the "and" EXACTLY at the same time? Like you can hear little phrasing differences throughout the whole piece because of course everyone sings it differently, but that particular cue must be SO specific for that many Glindas to hit it at the same time.
There's a cut right before that line, it was probably used to re-synch everything.
Still a neat little moment.

This is beautiful. I won't lie, there's a part of me that wishes Idina & Kristin were a part of this but regardless this is brilliant.
Me too
yup me too. I even wonder why idina was not part of this since she was the original elphaba on the westend
@@sylvani1 me to but i just realised this is west end she was in broadway
@@skatoulapapoulamamoula4591 Both Adele (Dazeem) and Kristin did the West End. I saw them both... let's say more than once :D
Low key was waiting for Idina and Kristin to have sung the last phrase of the whole song at the end... lol

WILLEMIJN AND SUZIE!! One of my fave Elphie/Glinda pairings ever. Love their voices. I've missed them sm and Rachel and Kelly too

I saw her in Wicked during her run, it was marvelous.
@@WithLoveFeli haha yeah I thought the same thing. We love a natural QUEEN.
@@Jilljedin Yeah I saw her as well. She is amazing. It's so incredible that she was Elphaba for almost 10 years!
Wait THAT WAS SUPPOSED TO HAPPEN
Willemijn, Alice and Rachel 😍🥺 and Rachel’s nose tap omggg
I love Willemijn for doing all the charity projects she can! She is also performing for free this Saturday to save a small theater in Amsterdam from closing. She is such a gem! ❤
Willemijn is an actual goddess. I've seen some great Elphabas - including Rachel and Alexia - but Willemijn.... she's the best.
I'm a senior in high school. I'm in choir and a tradition of ours is singing this song at the end of the year to send off our seniors. For this reason I will never not cry during this song. It touches me on such a personal level.
We had out two theater lead girls sing it at ours too ❤

I don't like this song purely for the fact that it always sends me into floods of tears! Especially done this way - just lovely. x
My 3 QUEENS, Dianne, Kerry and Willemijn ALL in one video
The west end production of wicked has become so much more than “the London version of the Broadway one”, it’s become something to call our own 💕
@Alice’s Little Warrior Agreed. I think Idina's voice is not suited to the songs. Pretty much everyone else is better than her on this one
Alice’s Little Warrior agreed idina is outsung but i think kristin is still the best
@Alice’s Little Warrior *Nobody* comes even close to Kristin and Idina's chemistry on Wicked, they will always be the greatest Elphaba and Glinda!
Alice’s Little Warrior omg every single wicked video I’ve seen, you hate on Idina, give it a rest!!
Vicki_Brosh YES
This song is powerful. Both lyrics and melody. It describes a true friendship. So so beautiful.

aw thanks for pointing that out! such a lovely little moment which I handn't seen on my first view.

Louise and Rachel legends! Sohie, Lisa-Anne and Emily superstars!!
oh my god this song is so beautiful performed by a chorus...
Lisa Ann Wood is such an underrated, incredible Glinda. Absolutely loved seeing her in London
Rachel Tucker is and will always be my forever Elphaba
Lucky to see Helen Dallimore & Kerry Ellis in 2011, and they were both amazing singers.....still one of my favourite musicals, and looking forward to seeing it again in the future!
So happy to see you've included Willemijn Verkaik...♥️
Savannah Stevenson was my Glinda - saw her on the West End in 2015 and she was exceptional then and still is today!
I’ve always said no one can do Glinda like Kristin but now damn this version is absolutely beautiful 💗💗💗💗i love it, wicked is my all time favourite
Kristen is always my favourite and I think will always be my fav!
HOLY SHIT I LOVE RACHEL TUCKER!!!!! THESE HARMONIES GIVE ME CHILLS
This is incredible. I saw Amy Ross and Helen Woolf about 2 years ago and it was incredible

Willemijn and Rachel was the best ❤️💚
I feel like Willemijn should have gotten a solo line😢
Yes 😔
Ikr i need more of Willemijn 🥺
Absolutely! Just like at the Oscars: she was the best singer of the bunch, but didn't get the best lines. :-(
@@Annemiekvde they can't give her the best lines, she'll just make everyone else look bad lmao we stan our trilingual queen

Rachel and Louise were my Elphaba and Glinda, but I also love Kerry!
Kerry Ellis and Diane Pilkington were my first Elphaba/Glinda combo and I’m so overwhelmed with love for them (and everybody!) for doing this
Same, they'll always be my Elphie and Glinda
Willemijn ❤
Rachel doing the nose boop got me, hahaha.
Is it me? Or did they snub Wil in this? That queen deserved a solo line. Good thing I could still hear her in the unison parts.
