Snowbaron was a fun Deviant Hunt at all levels once I got a good grasp of him just being a bigger, faster Lagombi with more freeze powers. Later in the levels he tends to get pretty tough, but it felt like a greatly designed challenge that wasn't so hard you had no hope. It's one of the few quasi-G-rank lines that you can do solo and have a good chance of winning as long as you use your head. Great practice for the harder fights to come.
Weak and strong are matters of perspective, a perspective that rarely views oneself and instead views something else. In other words, perhaps it is not the Lagombi that is weak or strong, but the players hunting it.
that details like go senpai and the meme jhon travolta makes wanna come back and watch the video again and again, like the ukanlos tip with the goat screams that i already watch like 30 times lol, so unique videos and funny ,
The armorset is super useful for aerial greatsword. A charged aerial attack after using Lion's Maw and with temporary attack up buffs makes this set super strong.
Note to self: bring Cleansers for this guy. Yeesh, he really is all about the snowball and iceblight effects, huh? I like seeing Lagombi being a relevant monster and a meaningful threat for once. I like the big fluffball that it is.
My second-favourite monster from 4U got a deviant?! Awesome! (Yes, I actually do like Lagombi that much.) Also, holy moly, that armor. Don't exactly like the hats, but wow. I definitely am hyped for this..

Hey, Gaijen, I main CB, and I was wondering if you would recomend I go Ariel style with a set of Ratholos armor, or Bushido style with regular Lagombi armor? I'm using the Ratholos CB either way.
the fact that you're now able to roll out of bombs without gemming in evasion +3 really makes me happy, since I've been playing since freedom unite and dreaded having to go out of my way to forge a mixed set that I wouldn't even use that much.
can't wait for mhgen to release! i finally managed to beat all caravan and guild hall quests in 4U and i clocked in around 1200 hours, so i feel pretty much "done" with it.
I've recently been trying to solo Snowbaron and after using Bind Res along with the Dynaqlo Armor's Evade Distance,Earplugs ( Since thats all thats needed for him ),and Halve Stun jeweled into Negate Stun...he isn't so bad. The one problem for me now that I won't get inflicted with snowman is that he moves too much for me,but since I'm an adept CB user I use it to my advantage to turn Snowbaron into a slide happy Lagomi.
Dat armor. -Great for aerial (the style I feel more interested in) -Interesting for adept (regeneration 2 + rarely getting hit) -Monster not too difficult to kill -Fancy, classy design Definitely making it. Not sure if gunner or melee version, though.

+Ryuma9789 if I remember correctly, adept makes much easier to focus on a more aggresive style, so you don't want to spend too much time drinking potions. If done right, attacks are suposed to hit you rarely, so it should leave a larger lapse of time for regeneration. No saying you are gonna recover the whole red bar, but some free healh as you keep fighting and evading is a good thing.
I personally think that Whitegale/Deviant Nargacuga armor gemmed in for Aerial Attack up (using a Talisman) is the best aerial set. You're much more likely to jump through attacks, you jump further, your critical hit rate goes up massively, and every crit in the air does 150% damage (from Ultra Crit giving a 15% boost to the original 125% crit damage and the Aerial Atk Up giving another 10% on top).
+Jordan William I am aware they don't have slots, that is why I said "with a Talisman". Since Aerial up is a 5 slot skill, you can get it easily. I imported MHX and I use full Deviant Narga armor with Aerial up and it is devastating, for example I can kill Ferocious Najarala in under 5 mins solo with a good Ice Switch Axe and Energy Charge 3 (gives 30% extra affinity).
Personally, I can't wait to fight the Spearbreaker Daimyo Hermitaur. I have a thing for high defence, and I think this guy's armor will work well for me.

In all honesty, back when I was just starting to get around MHX, fighting this steroid-induced rabbit solo with crap armor hurts like hell. And the snow status is so annoying. But I agree, its armor skills are so awesome for my SAs and DBs.
One Eyed Garuga is going to be the Deviant I'm not looking forward to fighting in Generations. Garuga was a bitch and a half in 4U, and with SUPER DEATH POISON... lolnope. Snowlord Lagombi's definitely going to be fun, though.

The different Styles, Hunter Arts, more endgame weapon choices, Prowler(cat) mode, 12 Deviants(essentially HC) monsters. the 12 Deviant sets, Furious monsters(Apex strength, but without the reliance on a timed item to do damage), 4 villages(3 of which are full of memories for veterans), new monsters including 4 flagships and a cuttlefish, and a lot of content unlocked via doing quests/quest chains and the arena quests. If that's not enough to warrant picking the game up, then there are always other games you can pick up this summer.
i know someone who triple carted on his first lagombi in low rank and had an ice resistant armor with good defense. And it was online with two g rank players (me and another friend of mine)
well, we were all g rank hunter, but we all used rare1 weapon because we wanted him to learn how to play. Triple carted in about 5 minutes. He became better tho, considering he was double carted by the first seltas...
now i want to slam a longsword into that monster btw have a question regarding the hunting stiles. do you choose a stile before each hunt or are the stiles bound to your weapon?
I can get with that set, I'm still debating on whether I should be a male for the awesome looks, or a female for kinky looks lol chose female back in 3 ultimate and male in 4 ultimate, I have no favorites in terms of looks though

Finally an easy monster made hard. Lagombi is one of the first monster I learned to evade from.
